The pack

Lucifer and Lucas left ahead of me , they said they would let me know when I should come.

I dressed into jeans and a fitted shirt , semi casual semi smart . I sat nervously in the bedroom . We had briefly decided what we would tell the pack but it still didn’t make it any easier . I hadn’t even spoken to my mum , my supposed best friend is dead and I don’t have any friends other then Lucas and lucifer .

I wish I had a ‘girl’ friend I thought . Netty seemed nice , we had spoken once before and she defended me earlier today .
Yes I thought . I will make a conscious effort to go see her once this is done and once I’ve spoken to mum I thought.

Lucifer entered the grand hall flanked by Lucas . He commanded the attention of the room however as we stood side by side we could hear the whispers of wolfs .
“Silence” lucifer ordered .
“I have gathered this meeting here today due to an important event that has taken place”
He looked briefly to Lucas before continuing .
“We have a very important wolf within our pack, she is an original”.
A slight pause before Wolfs started to speak among themselves .
“Silence” lucifer demanded .
As many of you know Lucas my beta is mated to molly .

At that moment molly walked in , all eyes on her as she approached the alpha and beta not hesitating in her stride.

Stay confident molly , you got this the boys linked me . I smiled in their direction trying to zone out the other voices I could hear around me .

She smiled at them and stood between them both holding each ones hand .
Eyes were on her , many burning and scowling .

I could hear the thoughts of some of the wolfs ,
‘ who does she think she is ? Look at that slut ? I heard she is cheating on Lucas ! She is fucking the alpha ! What a whore ‘

I couldn’t help my self I let out a growl and shifted standing growling at all in front of me ....
“Who do you think you are to insult me that way “ I mind linked the entire pack .
Lucas and lucifer watched on impressed .
I am your princess and you will show me some respect I ordered . Athena had taken over and she was not happy at all.

Many lowered there heads in shame ,

As I was saying lucifer continued .
Please meet Athena , princess Athena an original .
She is both mine and Lucas’ s mate, she wears both our marks !

Wolfs looked up and howled and applauded .
Athena was still aware of jealous she wolfs but she didn’t care . She looked across the lack meeting the eyes of many who lowered them .
Then she stopped on netty, she was with the group of she wolfs from earlier , I could still hear there terrible thoughts . But netty was lovely , inside I could see she was beaming . This calmed Athena tremendously.
I walked off so I could shift back and put some clothes on, none of these wolfs were about to see me naked I thought .

I returned and listened to Lucas addressing the pack about me , about us .

I stood next to my men again gazing out at netty , she held my gaze for a second and looked away . I smiled towards her hoping she caught it before averting her eyes.

Then I saw my mother , ‘shit’ I thought , I forgot about her . A stray tear had fallen from her face , I didn’t want to invade her thoughts so I looked away.
Mum was my first port of call once this was done . Half an hour later the meeting was coming to a close .
The pack was happy and excited apart From a few jealous she wolfs but that was fine . I’d be jealous if these two weren’t mine I thought with a smile.

Well done molly the boys said . I leant up kissing each on the lips .
“Molly , Lucas and I have a lot to do, your safety will be paramount even more now “.
Lucas I need you to bring Thandus the pack warrior General to my meeting room .

“Molly Lucas and I must go to work , will you be ok?”
Yes I need to speak with mum to be honest boys, I said . Slight worry on my face .

Lucas pulled me into an embrace and stroked my face , I love you he whispered in my ear and kissed me before slapping my arse and walking off .
Fuck he was handsome I thought as he walked away .
Lucifer was more tactile then Lucas , he kissed me gently and said “see you later” before turning round and walking off.

Ok I thought it’s me and you Athena let s do this.

I spotted mum hovering near by , I approached her cautiously . Fancy lunch mum I said with a smile.
She met my eyes and in that moment I was pretty confident we would be ok .

We headed into town to a quaint little tea room and ordered afternoon tea. Defiantly a favourite of mine .
I needed to learn to block out every ones voices because it was so noisey in my head .

I spoke with mum telling her a little more then the pack but not every thing . The less she knew the safer she was I thought to my self .

Mum had already thought I was special but don’t all mothers . She was happy for me for the three of us .
Then the subject of pups came up , “so when will I be getting some gran pups molly she asked . I giggled , I hadn’t given it much thought to be honest .
“Well from the chatter I have heard apparently you have been putting in some practice “ .
My face was the colour of a strawberry , “mother “ I said .

Well I can’t blame you molly , you have the two most handsome men in the country I would say.
There will be a lot of jealous she wolfs so just be careful sweetie.
I don’t need to be careful mum , they love me and are loyal.
Ok well I’m happy for you honey , I really am .

I felt like a huge weight had been lifted from my shoulders .... that’s one down one to go I thought .

Next I wanted to make friends with netty .
I kissed my mum on the cheek and went my way walking down the street . Netty wasn’t hard to find , all I had to do was follow the nastiest thoughts I could muster and she would be close to them . Her pure soul on the side lines I thought.

I approached the group sat in the pork , they weren’t particularly inventive with their hostility towards me I thought smiling .
As I approached they said hello but I wasn’t interested. .
My eyes seemed out Netty , she was very pretty and kind, god only knows why she hung out with this lot .

“Netty” I spoke , she looked up at me .
Can I borrow you for a bit I said .
The other girls looked gobsmacked , probably that I even knew her name .

Netty stood and excused her self and we began to walk .
“Thank you” she said .
For what?
For saving me for them , I have been waiting for you to recognise me . ....
