As the hour grew near everyone became restless. Ari could see the men were getting almost happy to be meeting this confrontation. She guessed it had something to do with getting out frustration, on that level she could understand somewhat. Over the last couple of days she had started looking forward to the hunt for the Deaders- *god I guess that is just proof of how fucked up I am really?* she thought. *It's a fucked up world might as well find some kind of relief where I can.* she mentally shrugged.
"We ready to go fuck up some shit?" Mika asked as he came back into the cave.
"Hell yeah lets go!" Devion greeted shaking his forearm.
"This is gonna be tougher than the deaders we've been playing with. These things can think. And are incredibly strong. Myself and Devion will lead them into the trap. Bradley You will cover the backside to make sure none come out. Ari I need you staying to the back side. Do not go around the front of the building no matter what. We want them to follow one blood scent." She nodded her understanding.
She had given Mika her extra clothing to use tonight. Her large cover shirt that she had worn over her tattered grey tank to keep the sun from burning her shoulders all the time. It wasn't big enough to fit his large biceps so she had ripped the arms off of it and left the back to hang off him. So long as he didn't shift from human to wolf the fabric should hold fine. As for her location it made sense she'd take out the deaders who may come to the noise along the back wall, Bradley could cover the front and could fight vampires a hell of a lot better than she.
"We all clear?" The group nodded in unison. To keep Ari from making a trail Mika had her ride his back to her drop off. He wanted her to rub all over him and to cover him not because it felt incredibly wonderful to have her against him- but he wanted her scent to to boost the blood trail.
Before leaving her he wanted one good luck charm. He spun her around and tasted those lips one more time. She let out a small gasp as she kissed back. He hated having to pull away from her but time was not on their side tonight. "Stay safe." he whispered. "Come back to me Mika." she whispered touching her lips. They were on fire but in a delicious way. She could still feel him pressed against her even though he had left stepping back to turn wolf. Carefully they placed her shirt on him. It was a tight fit and she knew she'd never get this thing back but it just needed to last an hour. Mika looked so strange with his silver fur sticking out under the brown fabric stretched as far as it dared to go. She rubbed her sweaty hands once more on the back side before stepping away from him. he looked once more and galloped off to his next spot.
Her location was a simple walled area that she could funnel them into and pick off one or two at a time from a safe distance. There was a escape route if she had to have one that lead up the building. But it would require her digging into the crumbling bricks and to shimmy up a rope that Devion and Mika had secured above. She could do with the right motivation.
Mika headed around the front and met with Devion and Bradley. Bradley was told to go to the trees across the structure and wait till everyone was inside before coming out. Devion and Mika then took off running at top speed to the front of the nest. The sun had not yet gone down below the horizon but they knew the creatures would be waking soon enough.
They stood before the multi opening complex. It had been built into the side of the mountain. Mika didn't know if it was from before the Fall or if the vampires had *encouraged* the human puppets to build it. Mika chose the central opening that appeared to the be the biggest. Without a word Devion tossed the bottle filled with Ari's blood. The moment the cap came off Mika breathed in her scent. His beast rose up to the surface, raging that his mate's blood was spilt. There was no erotic sensation this time, it was pure anger. He needed to fight tonight.
With their super sensitive senses they heard the moment the vampires smelt the fresh blood. Scuddling and screeching soon followed as they rose to the front portion of the building. By this time Mika and Devon had already took off. Every so often Mika would stop and rub against a tree on careful to get just her shirt on the tree. Devion would drop some blood on plants here and there making a trail leading straight to the old market place. Even at the speed Mika and Devion went they knew the moment the sun went down the vampires were on the trail.
The creatures did not make the screeching or scuddling sounds as they had in the nest. Now they were in hunt mode. They barely gave a heartbeat, but every so often Mika and Devon heard a *thump/whoosh* sound as the dried thing tried to maintain "life" so this host. The wind was in their favor tonight as well as the wind came from the back side of the nest down to Mika and Devon. They could smell the scent of vampire-moldy dirt and the rotting scent of slow decay-almost like a illness. Not like a deader's decomposition smell. They had made it back to the market and Devion had about a half bottle left. He poured a small pool out on the ground to the entrance and then Mika took his hand-letting just his hand turn back human and drug it through the blood smearing it to the building. He pushed the door with his blood hand making sure to leave a good hand print. He ran his hand along the wall making a blood trail along the walls. Devion then poured the remainder of the blood toward the back side of the building near were they had burned the Taliihan before. Mika and Devion then took their place upstairs on the second floor and waited.
It was not long before a pale skinned man came into view. He went to the pool and lapped at it greedily. Others followed licking along the ground, two were crawling along the walls like spiders- licking the blood trail there. When they heard the door close Mika let out a howl that bounced off the walls. Devion had gone to the other side of the second floor and returned the howl. The vampires screeched and snarled in return. A low flutter came from the darkest depths of the market- the Taliihan had heard they had guest.
The two vampires that crawled the walls made their way to the second floor and Mika and Devion engaged as the Taliihan poured into view. They saw the vampires and began attacking them. Mika faced a bald man -maybe in his 30s. His skin was a blue pale deep dark eyes with red iris. His teeth had been filed to points. He wore only what looked like black leather pants and had been in shape when he turned. The vampire slashed at Mika with it's claws and Mika returned the favor by slashing with his silver coated claws. The moment the silver touched the vampire's flesh it began to sizzle and smoke. The vampire screamed in pain and anger. Mika grabbed the man and digging his claws into its chest then pulling him apart in a swift motion. He threw one side of the vampire to the back wall and the second to the ground floor where the vampires and Taliihan bite and fought one another. He looked to see where Devion was and found him in his full wolf form chasing a woman vampire in a blood red loose gown. Her black hair flowing behind her. She was graceful as she grabbed and pole and swung around kicking Devion into a near by store front. Devion recovered quickly and went back at her, unphased. Mika let him be and went after another vampire who had taken the second floor. This one was a man similar to Mika's size. He wore overalls and had ham hocks as fist. The brut swung and planted one against Mika's jaw. When he made contact Mika saw stars for a second and then went red. The fucker wasn't going to get a second shot. he reared back to hit with his left and Mika sunk his long fangs into the wrist. He had to jerk a few times as the thing was thick but he managed to snap the wrist off the vampire. He bellowed in pain and rage and then decided to tackle Mika. They flew through the air as the vampire had plowed them over the railing. The man's neck was so thick Mika knew trying to bite it wouldn't work. He had second to make the choice. He shifted back to human form and drove the vampires head in a downward direction. *Splat* He allowed the force of the fall to go into the vampire and he roll when he landed. Dizzy for a moment but back on his feet he took off running dodging a Taliihan who had jumped at him mouth agape. Mika shifted back to his werewolf form and sprung at a Taliihan aiming a spear to Devion. Devion heard the clatter and crunch and turned to see Mika go after a red head with a pixie cut. *Get back up here and stop chasing the red head!* Devion called out to Mika. *Fucking going to!* Mika snapped.. Mika pounced onto the girls back letting his claws sink deep into her back and then propelled his body to the second floor. The force sliced through the girls shoulders and back causing her to fall backward into a near by Taliihan.
*Time to light this bitch up.* Devion grinned.
Devion and Mika had found a store that had not been raided so many years ago that once sold alcohol. They were very pleased to find out that there were sealed bottles of Rum with fading lables reading a alohol content of 60 proof. *Molotov cocktails* they had stored several around the second floor and had made a very large pile of said bottles and others like a clear vodka reading 40 proof. They had hid all of this among piles of pieces of wood, dried papers, and old tattered clothing left behind.
Devion lit the first cocktail and threw it into the frey of vampire and Taliihan below. The glass shattered and spilt liquid fire onto the floor.Screetching and snarls never changed as the creatures were too locked into one another. Mika found one of the stashes and began lighting a few and threw at the front entrance blocking the exit of any who might get the bright idea to leave. Puffs as ash popped here and there as the flames caught the Taliihan on fire. Vampires who were unlucky to catch burned a good few minutes and appeared to be running candles beneith them.Chaos is the best description of the view devion and Mika had. Vampires lunging out of the flames, burning and smoking- terror intheir dark eyes. Taliihan dodging flames to attack vampires as they neared their nest. The Vampires soon found their way to the back tunnel they thought would lead them to safety. Some burning and others scurring to retreat they went into the far back of the market, the Taliihan's nest. Smoke was filling the building now and Devion and Mika felt it was time to exit. they climbed to the back side entrance to the roof. Mika brought one last cocktail with him. He lit it and threw it close to the pile they had prepared. The glass shattered spilling the flamable liquid onto the floor catching the pieces of clothing on fire. At once the pile lit up burning hot. Devion closed the lid to the roof as Mika pulled back up. They blocked the hatch with a large metal beam they had secured previously. Once they were comfortable they werent followed Mika went to the back side were Ari was located.
