Ari was waiting for the deaders to begin coming down the alley way and into her trap. A few here and there had made their way and she had dropped them quickly. She had a small group enter into her space and she got to work on stabbing them here and there. Keeping a close eye on the entrance in case she needed to prepare for more. She could hear the screaming and roars from within the building-* Damn they are loud!* she thought as she kept rythem stab- drop-stab-drop. After so long she started to notice the deaders acting ....strange. They began to make a file as if standing in line to die. They stopped moaning and groaning, they even stopped trying to grab at the fence to get to her. It was then she noticed a man standing at the mouth of the alleyway. At frist glance he wore a dark colored tea shirt tight against his chest. He was broad like Mika but not as tall. His biceps were roped similar as well. His skin was tanned not pale like most vampires. He had on dark colored jeans- ripped in a few placed but over all his appearance was much cleaner than what she was use to in this world.
She reached for her blade so she could have one in each hand. In a milisecond he disappeared in a grey mist to reappear inches from her. His eyes were over all green with flecks of blues, and whites. Only the outer rims of the iris even glinted a little red. He had dark hair, cut short on the side but spiked up neatly up top. He was clean shaven showing his strong square jaw. He was indeed highly attractive by any sense of the meaning. He oozed sex apeal. She stepped back, his eyes watching her every move like a cat watching a mouse in a trap.
"Who? What are you?" she whispered trying to make herself speak. He closed his eyes and took a long deep breath, a grin split his perfect face. Opening his eyes to reveal now the red glowing,"My my I've been looking for you." his voice low and almost hypnotic. She breath deep to scream for Mika when he raised his hand and she saw her world go black.
She jerked awake rolling to get away from the man who had been standing in front of her,she crash landed on a hard floor in place of fencing she had been expecting. She looked around she found was not in that alleyway anymore.
The room was spacious. A large ornate wood four poster bed was in the center. Curtains of deep reds and creams were hanging from the upper poles. The bed she had fallen from was dressed with not animal furs or cotton sheets but some kind of rich fabric that glinted and was very smooth to the touch. Candles were stationed around the room showing several chairs and even large porclean wash tub in the room. She looked to her left and saw a massive wooden door- she knew it would be locked. *Next exit.* she thought. She did see a window but it was small and very high up. It was meant as ventalation but nothing more. She took a deep breath and began patting her self down, every one of her blades had been removed. She looked around again to see if anything could be used as a weapon. She spot her crumbled leather sack she had been wearing that day tossed on to a chair. A brief moment of hope flitted through her. She grabbed it happily to see if anything of saving was there. Various pieces of clothing, some food she had been carrying, her water sack, and something flat and hard was tucked into a shirt. She unrolled the sleeve it had become tangled in. *The piece of mirror that old woman gave me!* she grinned. She dashed to the door, holding her breath waiting to hear if anyone was on the out side. no noise. she tried the handle- it gave way with no sound. Happiness was bubbling up, she had to keep it down to think straight and get the hell out of there. She slipped through the doorway opening it only just enough to not let any of the candle light spill into the passageway. She closed the door behind her and held her breath again.
Nothing, and no one. she looked ot her right and then to her left both routes looked the same. She breathed slowly out thinking of Mika. *Where is he?* she thought. Then the gut feeling began to pull her to the right. She didn't understand this fated mate thing, but she had become fully aware that it would lead her back to him everytime.
She went through the empty corridor as quickly and quietly as she could muster. Praying she didn't come accross anyone. Every now and then she'd peer above her to ensure one of them did not get the jump on her. The hallway then ended revealing a massive open room. High above was a ruby red dome. The full moon's light filtering through it appeared to give everything it touched a red hue. Looking around from her corner it appeared that there were many many other rooms and they all emptied into this one section. At the bottom of the two sets of stairs she could see one archway leading to another section, it did not have a red glow in it. And two large ornate wooden doors in the center back wall- *the front door* she breathed. Checking again no one was present she made the dash down the stairs across the marble flooring was just two feet from the door and the man appeared just as before.
She slammed on breaks. Her eyes watching him carefully. "Now please don't be that way. I wont harm you while you are in my care." his voice like honey.
"Who are you?" she hissed. Her body in a stance that said she would bolt one way or the other if he moved.
"Forgive me, my manners are a bit rusty. My name is Drax." as he said his name she grinned showing those pearly white fangs again. "Master Drax, that is." his voice had an old southern acient to it.
"You are the vampire, the maser vampire." she clarified.
"I am **the** vampire. You see I am very, very old."closing his eyes and shaking his head so slightly as he said it.
"Are you claiming to be the first?" she started taking tiny steps toward the darker room.
"I am. I have gone by many names over the centuries; Vlad Dracul, Vlad the Dragon, Vlad the Impaler, Jack the Ripper- good times in jolly old England there, or most commonly known as Count Dracula. At the turn of the century however I left what was then known as the old world and came to America. I loved her froscity for life. You could litteraly begin a new here and know one would be the wiser. It was then that I went by the Doodler,The Zodiac Killer- that one was particualry fun- the Long Island Killer- that one had them reiling for some time. But as with this new world I have chosen to go by Drax."
