Chapter 19. The clash between wolgan and the werewolves
"They showed no sign of mercy."
Darth was run out of words. This was dreadful news, and he knew that the mortal world was now in peril.
"Prithee, guard my visitor, and don't go outside."
"I'll take heed of your words, Your Highness." he bowed his head as a sign of reverence, and he was dumbstruck because the moment he lifted his head, his Young master wasn't there anymore. Darth swiftly vanished like the gust of wind that soared through the sky.
Darth went in search, carefully scrutinizing every corner until he reached the Viste Bizaar. Hiding in a secure place, he found a familiar figure of a man, bundled in a black fur-line cloak standing at the center and commanding the cubs. For the second time, he witnessed how this ferocious creature slew innocent people, and it was apparent from the beginning how helpless they were.
A few minutes later, Darth made a warding gesture with his hand and let fire come off, throwing it to the surrounding area. He was hiding, not because he was afraid of the werewolves, but because he didn't want to be seen. No one knows about his true identity except his Master Amoux. An extreme frenzy will surely ensue once they find out he is Magnus Conri, the dragon-werewolf hybrid best known as the red wolgan who save the mortal world from the dragon in the past centuries.
The three werewolves began growling and snarling in anger and pain. They looked around in puzzlement, not knowing what had just transpired. The only thing that can give them the answers is if someone showed up because all three werewolves would attack without hesitation.
Darth could hear their claws against the ground, ready to attack anyone who dared approach, and that made him even more reluctant to stop them or not.
During depleting time brooding, Darth caught a small girl crying, her hands were wounded, and suddenly he thought of the story he had with the girl named Hiree, the young girl he saved from dying in his past life, where he also inverted his vermilion stone.
Darth was not certain at first whether to help the girl, but when he saw the cubs attempting to attack her, he immediately intervened, making them halt from a distance, then let the girl run away.
"I never thought we would meet," someone behind him blurted out. Darth turned his body slightly and faced the person who spoke, only now realizing it was the same man from a while ago. The man looked at him angrily, and he envisioned him attacking him at any given moment.
"Who gives you the authority to stand against me?"
Darth sighed heavily. "No one. But this isn't necessary. I'm sure you're a good human being."
"What makes you say that?" the man queried arrogantly. "Will you still believe that if I told you, I could kill you by now if I wanted to?"
Restraining his sentiment, Darth tried to loosen up despite the threatening words he heard, and he just bestowed him a smile. A very soothing smile.
The man laughed evilly and said, "Isn't that funny, a stranger who knows nothing has a spirit to stand against the powerful creature?"
"I pity you, but your foolish outburst isn't appropriate to be shown in a mortal world. You killed numerous innocent people, and that is immoral. You were a powerful creature, but all of you…." he trailed off and eyed the werewolves one by one before returning his gaze to the man. "Shall stop and go back to where you belong."
The man was aggravated upon hearing his remarks; he closed his fist tightly as if he wanted to strike him and reward him for insulting him.
Suddenly, one of the werewolves shifted into a human form. He was the man who threatened Darth last time in the forest; he strode toward the man and whispered something in the latter's ear. The man's face turned from dark to purple with rage until his hands quickly moved to the handle of his sword and unsheathed it. He was going to kill him, but before the man could do so, Darth took hold of the man's hand before swinging it up.
"You're not human," the man commented as he scrutinized his face. "Who are you? Do not lie to me! You're some kind of creature!"
"If I were such a beast, I would've killed you by now."
The man growled in frustration before signaling the werewolves to attack him. "KILL HIM NOW!"
At first, the six werewolves exchanged glances as if they couldn't believe their leader's command. But eventually, they all ran towards him. It seemed that Darth wasn't expecting this as all of them tried to eradicate him, but he simply blocked them using his forearm. His smile widened when he saw that the man looked confused and lost like he didn't expect him to be this stronger.
"GET UP AND KILL HIM!" the man commanded for the second time, which earned a growl coming out of the werewolves' throats as they pounced on Darth. Luckily, he managed to throw them off of him.
This was the opportunity Darth had been evading; he knew that he couldn't reveal himself to his foes, especially not to fight back to avoid being entangled in any war, but it seemed destiny had other plans for him.
The man motioned them to stop, and it was evident how baffled they were as to how did Darth able to evade their attacks.
Slowly, the man walked toward Darth while holding his sword close to his side. He didn't look afraid, but his eyes gleamed in anticipation; he slowly raised his sword and aimed at Darth's neck.
But that wasn't enough to frighten Darth, and he didn't flinch nor attempt to dodge or run away. He stared back at him until his eyes became tangerine, the fire flickering on his pupils and iris, causing the man to pale and take a few steps back.
"Who the hell are you? Answer me!" the man yelled, his sword still unmoving from its position. "I know you are in a human disguise. Show me your true self!"
"I wasn't born to explicate myself. I didn't come here to intrude nor to wreak havoc, but to apprise you that what you are doing is unethical and, further, great folly, to asperse anyone who knows nothing but to live their life righteously. Now, I order you to go back to whatever realm you came from because I am done playing around with your nonsensical games. The world is now in peace, do not make it difficult for the human!"
After his declaration, he spun around, leaving the man standing still. The six werewolves also shifted into humans, but they remained silent and stared with bafflement into each other's eyes. They had never felt such a powerful emotion, and now they were aware that a robust creature existed, not just them. They knew that Darth was dangerous, more than anyone else, but they couldn't comprehend what kind of creature he was, and just the thought of being slain by him made them timorous, deathly afraid of his aptitude.
