Chapter 9

MATTEO'S POV~

"Bastardo!"

In my family, people never do things unless it is an emergency or a direct instruction from the boss, which is me. The men in my family respected Don, it didn't matter if they were against instructions.

They executed it without complaints. I wasn't one to show mercy or grant second chances to people who fuck up and go against my laws making a mistake is one thing but disobeying an instruction is another.

I sat in the meeting, watching as my men filled in one after the other taking their seats. After some the doors closed indicating that everyone was present.

Mikhail was sitting beside me waving a knife around his fingers. My fingers itched to take it from him and use it on someone in the room but I held myself back. It is the right time.

"I called this meeting to inform you all of the recent happenings," the room was silent as everyone listened to me.

" They Russians are out for us because of the missing device, some of out packages keep getting missing and just last night I got a call informing me that one if our warehouses had been robbed," it wasn't stupid fir anyone to go against me. "Now the most important situation at hand is that..." I paused observing all their faces. "There is a mole among us." The whole room was drowned in a deadly silence. I knew the fucker that betrayed me was somewhere in this room and I wouldn't stop until I flushed out the rat.

"I want us to be in guard. Especially with the Russians. We don't know when they will make a move for now so be on guard. You all will be divided into groups and given separate missions. I don't want to hear about any mistakes because there won't be a second chance so better behave," I warned making them aware that I was dead serious.

"Yes, boss!" they all replied in unison

As soon Mikhail finished assigning everyone to their groups ending the meeting, the whole room waited as I stood up to go. I paused by the door , pulled out my gun and shot a certain motherfucker through the head. They watched as Ermanno fell out of his seat dying instantly.

I wasn't going to easily forgive, the bastardo had it coming.

"That was just a heads-up for the rat among us," I hissed before walking out.
