Chapter 55 Your Wife Has a Great Figure and Moans So Pleasurably

After getting Isaac's address, George was kinda shocked to find out the guy lived just a block away from his own place. Talk about creepy. He wasn't just satisfied with spying; he was itching to dive right into George's—or rather, his wife's—life.

With a grim look, George quickly rounded up a team and headed to Isaac's place. No knocking, no pleasantries—they busted right in. The door slammed open with a loud "bang," hitting the wall so hard it shook the whole frame. The noise was so intense that neighbors started poking their heads out to see what the fuss was about.

George shot a look at the deputy leader of the criminal investigation team. The deputy leader immediately turned to the nosy neighbors and waved them off, saying, "Arresting a wanted criminal here, folks. It's dangerous. Get back inside!"
Hearing that the wanted criminal was dangerous, the neighbors quickly retreated back into their homes, slamming their doors shut. With everyone out of the way, George led the deputy leader and one detective inside, leaving the rest to secure the perimeter.

George was sure Isaac had already bolted. The guy had to know they'd find his place soon; no way he'd stick around to get nabbed. And sure enough, Isaac was gone, but the place looked untouched. On the desk in the main bedroom, there was a laptop, an ashtray, and some cigarette butts.

George frowned and told the deputy leader to check the other rooms with another detective. He then closed the door, flipped on the lights, and walked over to the desk. The computer was on standby. George slid his finger across the touchpad, and the screen lit up, showing surveillance footage of his own house. No password, nothing.

Two windows were open on the screen. One showed a dimly lit living room, and the other was blocked by something, probably his bedroom.

"It's really you..." George muttered, his brows knitting together. He bent down and opened the surveillance records, realizing the cameras had been set up a month before his last return. That was right when he got the assignment to search for Pharaoh's tomb. Could this be connected to that?

As he stared at the dates, a knock came from outside the door.

"Captain Stone, nothing was found."

George straightened up and quickly exited the surveillance. But then, something caught his eye—a line of text on the screen background of the laptop.[Captain Stone, your wife has a great figure and her moans sound so pleasant.]

George's pupils contracted, his fingers clenched into fists. The image of a man standing in front of him, looking down with a sneering, provocative gaze, flashed in his mind.
This guy... he was gunning for George, not for any intel!

The deputy leader outside got antsy after a bit of silence from the room. "Captain Stone! Captain Stone, you alright?!" he yelled, banging on the door.

George took a deep breath and snapped the laptop shut. "I'm fine," he called back, walking to the door with the laptop in hand. He opened it and stepped out, his face a mask of calm.

The deputy leader and the officer let out a breath they didn't know they were holding. George, still stone-faced, started giving orders.

"Get someone to collect the cigarette butts from the desk, check the bathroom for any hair or tissues left behind, and send it all to forensics. Then, search for any other clues and pack up clothes, personal items, and anything suspicious to take back."

"Got it," the deputy leader responded.

As George walked to the doorway, he paused, turned around, and gave the room one last look. Then he headed out of the building, clutching the laptop.

Across the street, in a room with drawn curtains, Isaac sat with a slight smile, slowly lowering his telescope. He couldn't help but wonder what George's face looked like when he saw the laptop background.

With a smirk, Isaac turned and sat on the edge of his bed, pulling out his phone and opening the photo album. Inside was a picture of Ellie.

In the photo, Ellie wore light-colored jeans and a short-sleeved T-shirt, walking on a shaded path with another girl. She had a faint smile and carried a big bag on her shoulder, looking like it weighed a ton. Back then, her hair was loose and long, and she liked wearing a light blue cartoon hair clip. But now, she had it tied up...
