Malton's jaw tightened, he turned to the man next to me, his gaze didn't last long because he turned it back to me.
He shook his head, obviously disappointed with what he saw, he quickly left the stand.
My heart was beating fast, I'm sure it wasn't doc bulge that was the cause but the nervousness I was feeling.

"What happened, Tit?" I asked her. He ignored my question, and walked away. I followed.
"You know that patient? Herardio right, Tit?" I question again.
He still did not speak. I took a deep breath. Looks like this isn't the right time for me to cheat or tease Tit. "That's late for your appointment with doc, Tit." I promise.
He turned to me, looking at me seriously. "I'm going home, Verine."
"But Tit you need to--" he didn't let me finish speaking because he turned his back on me and walked away.
Damn it. What is there today? In the morning, a lot is happening, it's not good yet.
I decided to go to the doc's office, I still have a long day here in the hospital. I need to act.
I took a deep breath before opening the doc's office. Two pairs of eyes are looking at me now. A woman was sitting on the long sofa next to the man. I think they are in their 40's or 50's. The woman's gaze hovered over me.
"G-good morning." I greeted.

They turned to the doc, "She's my assistant, Ms. Garzon."

Who are they? The doc did not have an appointment based on his schedule. Have I been gone that long? Not as far as I know.
I entered the office. Even though I didn’t know what was going on I acted formally because I felt like I had to be like that. Their presence inside the office was different. I also don’t know why I’m nervous.
"Do I have an appointment right now?" casual question to me by doc.

"Can you leave us for a minute, Ms. Garzon? This is a private conversation," the woman calmly told me.
I could not answer right away. I turned to Doc, he nodded at me so I obeyed the woman's command.

When I think of getting out of the office. I saw Mikaela waiting outside the door.
"Why did you come in right away, Verine? You should have asked me, were you scolded?" he asked.

"W-who are those?" I will ask.
"Doc's parents!" he promised.

The doc stared at me. I acted automatically and did what needed to be done.
"You're not okay, Herardio. Look at you. Everyone is in the hospital because of that woman. It's been a long time ..." Daddy Hector said disappointedly.
They can't hear what my brain is saying so it's okay for me to call them mommy and daddy. That is also where we will go.

Some people were distracted coming out of the hospital.
"Mariah, your mouth! Ready to hear!" I promised him.
