Chapter 39

With each passing day, mom and dad always talk to me to help them in business. They also failed a few times whenever I wouldn’t allow it.
I got used to Sister Chantal's always frowning face every time I saw her at home. Not like Jacob who always smiles at me.
He even introduced the woman who liked him. He likes something, I'm just not sure if he likes it too. He probably wouldn't have introduced himself if he hadn't. He said he only introduced me because he always knew that Aunt Chantal was always doing something.
I don’t know how I survived here without seeing doc bulge. A few years ago, I still remember my first night here, I still had the delusion that he was here even if he wasn't.
I didn’t finish my ‘on the job training’ at Monteclar Hospital. I would have been ready to insist on my last year of college here in Ilocos, but I found a way.

The business is doing well. Garzon Industries is very famous because of sister Chantal. I used to admire Ate Chantal but I never dreamed of being like her or better than her because I have my own dream.
That's her dream, my parents dream for her too. She's successful in her chosen path, my parents are so proud of her. I don't envy her for being a good daughter. I'm jealous of the attention that they showered her. I can't even feel one drop of it. I just want them to be proud of me too.
I knew I would get to that point too. Especially now that I am a full -fledged doctor, am I still discouraged. It took me a few years just to become a doctor, I was just new.
I have been working in a big public hospital here in Pangasinan for less than two months. I'm still new But somehow I'm making new friends.
Especially since there are a lot of people walking with Raf, I am always approached just so I can introduce them to Serafino. After all, you always visit the hospital, even female doctors my age have a crush on her.

"I won't invite you to our wedding, you might have stopped the ceremony," he said.

"Stupid!" I laughed saying.
"Marry the one you touched first, then I'll think about whether I can stop your marriage so that I can have a single with me for the rest of my life!" next cup.

I looked at the make up artist who spat out the door. "Ma'am Verine, I need you in ma'am Chantal's room. There's a problem." I turned to Raf, he greeted me, I quickly walked to my sister Chantal's make up artist I followed her to my sister's room.

"The hospital is far from here." I whispered but he heard me.
"Gosh help me..." she cried.
"You don't have any food allergies ..." I promised confused.
I turned over the make up on the table, next to her. I picked them up one by one and quickly read what was posted on the back non.

There’s an unknown brand there, I don’t even know if there really is such a brand. I turned to the make up artist, his team as well as the hair stylist entered.
My sister just watched me look at that. "This one is fake. I'm having an allergic reaction because of it." I promise.

Her make up and hair stylist were amazed, even the bridesmaids. Mom and dad calmed down when they saw that he was okay.
"The wedding will start in 5 minutes!" promise of whoever entered the room.

I'm happy that you made a name yourself, on your own without being a garzon who's just good at business. Finally I can settle now, because you're on your own already. I don't need to watch you anymore. You grew up better and braver than me. "He said smiling.
I was slightly taken aback by what he said. I'm sure my eyes are big now. It touched the bottom of my chin then and lifted to close my mouth slightly open.
"You're a good doctor. Im glad that you're my sister." he promised. Then I was kissed.

She let go of the hug. He smiled at me again. With that smile, it was as if I lost my memory of his ugly look every time I saw him.

Is everything he said really true ?!
"Yes it's true." I turned to Raf as if I had heard what my brain was saying.
"I know what you're thinking right now. Yes, your grumpy sister is so fucking proud of what you become." He grinned.
It seems like Raf just registered in my brain everything to confirm that. With so much joy in my heart I jumped up and hugged him.
"It's not your wedding day, Verj. But you can call this your day."
The wedding ceremony has begun. It was a whisper next to me about the handsome relatives of brother Drake's children. I told him what happened. He also couldn’t believe it as much as I did but it was fun for me.

While Mariah and I were just at the other table talking.
Raf came to our table when he saw me. "Verj! You left earlier! I can't keep up with the amount of women don!" contributing says Raf.

"Me, that's arrogant!" Raf promised. I sipped the wine in the foreground as I watched Mariah point out.
He is handsome but in his actions he looks windy. "They're all kidding!" I laughed saying. Raf even attacked me.

"Ricardo!" a woman screamed. We turned there. The man fell from his seat.
"Oh my god help!" cry of the woman. Ricardo's chest is said to be high and low. It also held her heart.
Damn it! She is having a heart attack!
"Verjy! Help me, you doctor!" she whispered. I throw her a look.
"And You're not a doctor ?!" I asked her.
"I'm an anesthesiologist!" she replied.
"I'm a dermatologist not a cardiologist, what do you want me to whiten and beautify him while having a heart attack ?!"
"But you're still a doctor!"
Damn it! That's enough dada. Mariah doctor is still right I am!
I immediately attended to the man. People are already looking at us. "Call that the hospital." I commanded the woman next to it.
"That's a doctor." Raf assured her.
"Thank God!" she yelled.
"Dermatologist doctor please." She chuckled. I stared at her, seeing the shock on the woman's face.
Somehow I knew what to do first with heart attacks. That was the first thing I did. The ambulance arrived quickly. We took him there, we said goodbye to Tit so it's okay to leave the reception first. I also came to help the man, even Mariah and Raf came.
I immediately remembered something in the ambulance!

We quickly got to the hospital, the man was immediately taken to the emergency room. I breathed a sigh of relief at what Doc said. Tanya said the man was okay. This is a cardiologist.

"I'm glad you did the first thing to do at that situation, Doc. Garzon," She said.
"S-somehow I know," I stuttered.
"I'm sure Doc won't blame you. Deomindez recommended you to Monteclar Hospital. You'll be reassigned right?" smiling Saad of it.
Not everything he said registered in my brain.
"Verjy! Shuta Monteclar Hospital ?! Why didn't you tell me ?!"
