Chapter Seven

The following morning, Livy sat on her bed, all dressed up for school. It was 7a.m which means she still has fifteen minutes to herself. She opened her bag and brought out the sheet of paper from her bag, her eyes fixed on the option music. 
Lisa was watching her and when she couldn't keep her curiosity to herself anymore, she stealthily walked behind Livy as she glanced over her shoulders. Could it be a love letter? Livy has a crush and didn't tell me? She thought. "What have you got there?" Her surprising question scared the hell out of Livy. She tried to hide the paper under her pillow but Lisa grabbed it before she could hide it. She sat down next to Livy and read the words written in the paper. "Turn Your Hobbies Into A Career?" She asked looking at Livy. 
"What else were you thinking it was? A love letter?" Livy grabbed the paper from her.
Lisa laughed sarcastically before snatching the paper back. She looked through it and was surprised to see that no option has been checked. "You'd rather choose music than go for anything else, right?" Lisa asked. She knew the only reason why Livy didn't choose any option was because the only option she would have chosen was forbidden for her to.
"I badly want to choose music, Lis."
"But you know you can't." Lisa answered.
"It's killing me. I feel like I am someone else...i feel suffocated...i feel like i am hiding from who i am...do you know how badly that hurts?"
"And do you know how many lives you will burn to ashes if you choose this? Is your voice more important than those lives."
"What if it doesn't happen? What if I can control it?" Livy asked.
Lisa thought for a moment. After thinking she said, "if you that confident, prove it."
"You want me to sing? Here? Now?" Lisa nodded to all the questions.
"Mom and dad are still asleep so you have nothing to worry about." Lisa told her.
Livy stood up with her eyes closed, she took a deep breath and when she opened her eyes, she saw Lisa close to the door with her hand on the handle. "What are you doing over there?"
"Oh! Here?" She asked while smiling nervously. "I am just you know...being on the safer side so that in case you set anything on fire, I can just rush out and get out."
"Just admit you are scared." Livy smiled. "Here I go!"

Who said, who said that I am lost to begin with?
I am already enough
Everything I need is within me
Each morning when I wake up.
I am grateful for the beauty around me...¶
Stunned by her shocking voice, Lisa was mesmerized. Regaining her consciousness, she looked around and saw that the whole room was intact. She clapped her hands which made Livy stop singing. She moved closer to her and said, "congratulations on not setting the house in flames." She took the paper on the bed and handed it over to her. "Go for it." She cheered her. "But make sure mom doesn't find out." She warned. 
Livy nodded before wrapping her arms around Lisa. "Thanks." She muttered in tears.
"Are you crying? You should be happy." Lisa said before pulling her away a little so she could see her face. "You deserve this." She wiped her tears. "You will be late."
Livy   grabbed her bag, put the paper inside and she bade her goodbye.

Kia entered the class pretending like nothing happened. He sat down next to Livy who was watching something on her phone. He didn't mean to pry but something caught his attention. He decided to look closely, Is that me? He asked.
Livy was laughing hard. She pretended not to notice his presence.
Kia was shocked. So she was there? He shut his eyes in embarrassment.
After watching the video, Livy stretched. She looked at him and said, "oh! I didn'tt see you there."
Kia eyed her knowing she was aware of his presence right from the moment he walked in. "That was one off the best thing I have ever watched."
"Having fun?" Kia asked.
"Oh yes! To make it more interesting, I have a friend whoo can help me publicly this." She use her pal to hit her   forehead, "how come I didn't think of this." She said.
"You are going to do this to me?" Kia asked.
"Yeah." She stood up and was about to leave when Kia pulled her back to her seat. "Do you know how humiliating it is for people to see me being turned down by a lady I was trying to get especially seeing her choose her boyfriend over me."
Livy laughed out loud when she remembered the scene. "You should have listened to me."
"I know, don't rub it on my face."
"I can still go to her right now."
"Fine. What do you want me to do for you?" Kia asked.
"Wrong question. What can you do for me?" Livy asked with her eyes locked on his? She was happy knowing she has him wrapped around her fingers.

The teachers were having a discussion on how to choose the right candidate for the spirits' quests.
"The spirits will be here soon...we need a plan."
Mr. Hamilton, a ghostseer said.
"I think we should use the career stuff as a plan." A lady who has powers to cause illusion said.
"How?"
She whispered the plans to them. Everyone nodded to the suggestion.
