Chapter 16
The deities, who are they? They are the one who writes the faith of the people, what is right for them, people who wholeheartedly welcome them but some took it for advantage. There are things that people are dealing with—bad habits, struggles at work, people that are against you—that are not your destiny but the deities are making their way to salvage you out of that because that was not your destiny, they will put you again in the right place and again you will choose the right thing when you have learned your lesson and it was already carved in your mind and your heart, you will know what to choose then but if you keep on repeating yourself from the pain or the discouragement the deities are always there but everything has limitations.
The deities are not like people; The deity is full of mercy. The deity doesn't hold our mistakes against us. The deity doesn't cancel our destiny because we got off course. The deity knew every wrong turn we would take, every mess we would make, every failure, every weakness. Nothing you've done is a surprise to the Deity. Nothing that's happened to you has caught the Deity off guard. The good news is the Deity has mercy for every mistake, restoration for every failure, new beginnings for every loss, a comeback for every setback. What the Deity promised you are still on the way. People die, people passed away and will never be seen again, but some are reincarnated for a reason, it may take a long year but it was worth it because they are base on the time and the day. People who have been reincarnated are only chosen, chosen to finish off what he has to finish, a reason, an answer for everything, a puzzle that is missing to complete the picture. Everyone who has been chosen is studied before giving it life again and there Prince Hades Alexander was on the list.
Why?
It was because of the kingdom he had ruled in the past, the people who are depending on him. By the time that he will find him, Helios, he would do what he was about to do and that is to kill him. And the most twisted part of that is if what will happen in the present will happen in the past. If he kills Helios in the present, King Helios in the past will die too. The deities made a way to do the odd things, if their destiny doesn't affect Helios, then the presence of his enemy will take the action.
"I was beginning to have a headache about this situation, I want to change my assignment, I want to be designated to a different person I don't care if it's hard not just this so complicated case, I can't handle this anymore," the reaper says as he cleans his glasses.
"I don't know why did they even give you this one? A reaper who doesn't understand what is going on or a reaper who does not have a brain? Can anybody whisper me why? Is anybody can give me a sign? And as far as I know, you are a reaper and you belong in the dark side but how come you are here in the light wearing your stupid black fitted slacks, black shirt and your weird long black coat and your disgusting shining reaper, tell me is that true? It doesn't fit your outfit you look dumb if people can just see what the reaper looks like, a weird taste of clothes tsk," she says as she low down her glasses near the edge of her nose enough for the reaper to see her eyes, those merciful eyes that if the people can see it they will come crying for mercy and forgiveness for what they had sinned.
"Reaper wait what is your name? I can't just call you reaper hey, not that. Do you have a name?" she added and the reaper look at her like 'seriously are you asking me that'.
"I don't have a name, all of the deities know that and why on earth you don't know? Are you a deity that doesn't have a brain? A deity who can not understand?" he mimicked on what she had said earlier.
"Why did you choose him? Why not someone else?" he added as he pours wine in his glass.
"Sometimes people don't serve because it seems small, insignificant. But on the way to the big things God has in store, He will test the people with small things. Maybe that is why Hades got his extra lives, he had done so many great things for his people even though he is yet a Prince and not a King. People talk their selves out of going the extra mile, serving their family, taking care of those children, getting up early, making sure everything is right. Nobody may be saying thank you, it feels like it's unnoticed, but God sees your sacrifice. That's what leads to new levels."
"So that makes him special?" he says as he tossed his glass in the air.
"If you want to call it that way then so be it. When you live stirred up, you don't run away from enemies; you run toward your enemies. You don't let that cancer intimidate you. You don't run away from that trouble at work, those people that are trying to make you look bad," she answered and massage her temple, this man in front of her is giving her a headache.
"Then why did you lie to him?" he says and looks at her like she did anything wrong.
"Lie about what?" she raised her eyebrow. "About Helios, he is not a student studying in that school and not in the middle-class life."
"You see I am starting to dislike you, I want to perish your skin to your bone and burn you until you are ashes," she gritted her teeth.
"You're a mean deity but I kinda like that," he laughs.
"First of all not all the things must be spoon to you so you could be aware, we must be fair but I don't know if you can call it that way, I am just a goddess, a server, an observer, He is the one who's writing all of this, He is the one whose planning all of this and maybe he had planned this all the way along, He had plan you to give me a headache. First of all, Hades had stopped Lissana to study in that school, he homeschooled her, he's scared about her."
"And?" he says and shaking his hands to give him more details which causes her to roll her eyes.
"Do I have to spoon feed it to you all of this? Observe please," she rolled her eyes and look at the mirror that reflects Hades and Lissana doing a rated scene.
"Oh F! Turn that off they're doing it, again and again, every time you flash that mirror!" he says and still cursing under his breath.
"The wife and the husband," she muttered under her breath and the mirror vanished in thin air as she snaps her fingers.
The reapers stand from his seat and stretch up when he heard something crumpled in his coat, he frowned and search it by his hand.
Black envelope.
"Where did this come from?" he muttered and scratch his neck which causes her to look at him.
"From your coat?" she slyly answered and the reaper just rolled his eyes to her.
"Open it maybe its an invitation," she clapped her hands in excitement. The reaper slowly opens the black envelope as if it was a fragile thing still in deep thoughts on why he had it. There a black paper is written in golden ink with a name and a date.
"You gotta be kidding me," he whispered that the deity got also intrigued and stand from her seat and walk into his direction and slowly look at the black paper he is holding while his other hand is in his mouth, looking shocked.
"Lissana Ysabelle Ysares."
