[Jade’s pov]
As I carefully folded the gifts and clothes that Zilver, my brother, had lovingly bought for me, tears welled up in my eyes. He wanted me to take some presents back to Ragnar’s pack so everyone could know that I had a family and was not an orphan now. I could understand what Zilver was aiming to do as he protected me and continued to make me feel his presence as a shield.
Each piece held so much meaning, and it was overwhelming to see the bundle of presents. Especially the baby clothing and toys that he had picked out with such care. I could not help but fathom how easy my life would have been if I had met Zilver earlier but it also made me understand that perhaps I might not have progressed the way I did.
As I held a tiny onesie in my hands, my heart swelled with a mix of emotions. Gratitude, joy, and disbelief washed over me like waves. The thought of having a family, a brother, was something I had longed for, but never thought possible. It was as if the Moon Goddess herself had finally heard my prayers and blessed me with the family I had always yearned for.
Though unexpectedly of course!
Just as I was trying to compose myself, the door to the room opened, and Ragnar entered with a warm smile. His eyes met mine, and he immediately sensed the emotional storm that raged within me. Without a word, he came to my side and enveloped me in a comforting embrace.
"Jade, are you alright?" he asked, his voice soft and filled with concern. I nodded, unable to find my voice, as tears spilled down my cheeks. I clutched the gifts tightly, feeling a mix of happiness and vulnerability that I couldn't put into words.
Ragnar gently brushed away my tears, his touch a soothing balm to my heart. "You don't have to carry the weight of your emotions alone," he said tenderly. "I'm here for you, and we will face this together. Haha, after all it is my child too."
Taking a deep breath, I finally found my voice. "It's just... these gifts from Zilver," I said, my words coming out in a choked whisper, "they mean so much to me. I never thought I'd have a big family, and now, it feels like a dream come true."
Ragnar held me closer with his chin in the crook of my neck, his arms a safe haven, as I shared my feelings with him. He listened attentively, offering his unwavering support and love. In that moment, I realized how blessed I was to have him by my side, understanding and caring for me in a way I had never experienced before.
"I can't thank the Moon Goddess enough," I whispered, my tears slowly subsiding. "For bringing Zilver into my life and giving me the chance to know what it feels like to have a brother. Haha,it seems my whole life has been full of twists and turns.”
Ragnar kissed the top of my head gently, his love wrapping around me like a warm blanket. "Your happiness means everything to me, Jade," he said, his voice filled with sincerity. "I'm grateful that you have found this connection with your brother, and I'm honoured to be a part of your life. My lycan princess!"
As we sat there, wrapped in each other's embrace, I felt a sense of completeness wash over me. The gifts from alpha Zilver were not just physical items but symbols of the love and acceptance I had found in my newfound family and in Ragnar, the man who had stolen my heart and became my soulmate.
With Ragnar by my side, I knew that no matter what challenges life brought, I could face them with strength and love. The Moon Goddess had indeed blessed me abundantly, and I was determined to cherish and embrace every moment of this newfound love and family that had filled my heart with so much joy.
As Ragnar continued to hold me close, offering his unwavering support, the door to the room opened again, and Lily, my dear friend and sister-in-law, entered. Concern etched on her face as she saw me in tears, but she knew just what to do.
Lily rushed over to us and enveloped both of us in a comforting embrace, creating a sense of safety and warmth. "Jade, love, what's the matter?" Lily asked gently, her soothing voice coaxing me to share my feelings.
I sniffled, managing to smile through my tears. "Oh, Lily, it's just... everything," I said, wiping my tears away. "These gifts from Zilver, they mean so much to me. And I can't believe I have a brother, and I'm going to be a mother soon. It's all so overwhelming."
Lily chuckled, her eyes sparkling with joy. "I understand, Jade. This is a lot to take in, but it's a wonderful thing," she said, patting my back comfortingly. "You have a brother who loves you dearly, and you're going to be an amazing mother believe me."
Ragnar smiled warmly at Lily, grateful for her presence and the way she effortlessly comforted me. "Thank you, Lily," he said, his voice filled with appreciation. "Your support means the world to both of us."
Lily laughed, her arms still wrapped around us. "Of course, you two," she replied. "You're family. Haha and double one and I'm here for you through thick and thin." The atmosphere in the room shifted from emotional intensity to light-hearted laughter as Lily cracked a joke to lighten the mood.
Lily and I found ourselves reminiscing about funny moments from the past, sharing stories of our adventures and dreams for the future. "And can I just say, that little one," Lily said, placing a hand on my belly, "is going to be the most spoiled baby ever!"
We all chuckled at the thought, imagining the love and attention the baby would receive from the pack, especially from Lily. She had a heart overflowing with affection, and I knew that she would shower our child with warmth and care, just like she did with everyone she loved.
"I can't wait for you to meet the baby," I said, my voice filled with excitement and love. "They will be lucky to have you as their aunt." In that moment, surrounded by the love of my husband and my newfound family, I felt a profound sense of gratitude and contentment.
Lily's eyes shimmered with tears of happiness, and she gave me another warm hug. "And I can't wait to be the best aunt ever," she said, her voice brimming with affection. I had a brother who cared for me, a husband who cherished me, and a dear friend who was like a sister.
The road ahead might hold challenges, but I knew that with this support system, I could face anything that came our way. And soon, there would be a little bundle of joy joining our lives, bringing even more love and happiness.
As we continued to talk and laugh together, I knew that this newfound family and love were the greatest gifts I had ever received. And with each passing day, my heart filled with more love, ready to embrace the beautiful future that lay ahead for all of us.
