Am I a killer machine?!!…

*So heartless yet so full of feelings!!..*.

**Hades**
'My body ached for her. But my heart was not yet ready.' I thought to myself. Although I was calm outside, I was burning like lava from inside.
Hot. Raw. Pure. Sexual.
That was why I started to pull away, knowing if I didn't, then I would never find the strength to. I would have jerked off if I had not broken that kiss when I did.
"I can't," I mind-linked Cerberus.
"You fucking can!" Cerberus roared at me like he did most of the time today. He was squirming inside me like a raging white-hot fire. He had never been so restless before. He wanted to bruise Kora's lips with his need, biting and sucking them between his teeth. He was on edge, just a hairbreadth away from exploding out of my skin. That was what made Kora so dangerous. I knew she was hitting closer and closer to my limits. I was fucking terrified of what would happen when Cerberus snapped and took complete control over me. He would fucking claim her and growl, 'Mine'! Kora would have known my true wolf form-
dangerous, vicious and predatory! And she is not even a mate. According to my mother, Proserpina is my mate. My mother can never be wrong, so I don't understand the angle of Kora. But then trying to get Cerberus to understand was impossible.
But then, just as my hand slipped slowly down her cheek, she suddenly grabbed it with urgency. I shrugged her hands off me, concealing the emotions, and put on a false facade of a pissed-off man.
"Gods, woman! Will you ever stop getting into trouble?" I complained while looking around for an exit or something.
"I will when you stop pissing me off, handsome!" She threw back at me, making me grumble to Cerberus, "Fuck, I wish she'd stop looking so cute."
"Who are you even talking to?" She snapped suspiciously.
"Fine, I'll leave then. Best of luck surviving without getting pissed off by me." I answered back and started walking away.
"Oh no, you don't...Hades," she called me from behind, but I continued walking.
"Well, we'd made a deal! You are supposed to drop me safely to the dark woods." She spoke while grabbing my hand. Then just as I moved my hand to shrug off hers, her entire body went rigid. She froze in fear sensing something. I growled low and pulled her near, plastered to my chest. Then we both turned around to look at the next problem.
*A Shadow! *

I sighed and said, "Aww, well would you look at that, honey? I was rooting for that shitty thing, curious about when they will turn up again," I said sarcastically, looking at that sluggish worm-like shadow crawling up the wall.
"Don't be so cocky. It's not like it came alone." Kora said. And then a small army of shadows started to arise, crawling up the wall.
"If you get scared, you're dead! But if you ignore them, you survive!" I gave her the survival tip.
"And who told you that?" She asked, still looking at the looming shadows, who had almost reached the cave ceiling.
"I have practically grown with them. My father taught me how to fight them throughout my growing years," I spoke, realising I fumbled.
"But how can you just ignore these shadows? Can't they see you?"
"They are cave mammals adapted to hunt in the dark. Their hearing and smelling senses are strong, but their eyes are weak. They can't see. They can only sense fear. If you are scared, your fear echoes through the space, hitting them, which is how they sense you. So walk as if they don't exist, and you'll be fine."
"Okay, I'm trying," She spoke, but the shiver in her voice and heightened heartbeats were telling a different story altogether. I stopped and faced her, placing one hand on her shoulder across the neck and the other below her hips, and lifted her in one tug. Her face was now facing mine. My eyes flashed yellow, whereas Cerberus growled low in my chest. Her effect made my senses grow wild, shooting a thrill straight to my cock, ready to burst out of my trouser.
"Just look in my eyes, and forget everything else," I whispered, practically cooing at her.
"What if I am still scared? Will I be get eaten?" She mumbled with an innocence of a child.
"No, on the contrary, it'll be fun. I was actually looking for some more killing. Didn't have enough for a day." I winked at her, blowing at her face to brush off her hair strands to better view her pretty face.
"What is this place? I never knew of a cave beneath the Northern palace?" Kora asked.
I looked around to find ourselves standing amid ruins that held a haunting site. The rusted metallic chains were hanging from the cracks in the jagged rocky walls. The walls bore the bloodied marks of the tortured souls who tried to claw the rock when the pain became unbearable. The bone pieces were still struck in between the shackles. Although everything was in ruins, at some other time in the past, this place should be a crypt.
A crypt turned into a prison!
"This place is the belly of the mountain on which the Northern palace is built. Many years ago, it must be a crypt where the vampires live. The dreaded prisoners who can't be tamed must be caged here to be the meals of those vampires." I spoke.
"Like the one beneath the anti-gravity castle of Bucuresti?" She asked. Her question almost made my steps halt. She seems to know things.
"It's different. This place is in ruins, but the one beneath 'The Slayer' palace of Bucuresti is alive. It is the biggest cave system and the most dangerous place to be. It is where the heart of true evil was born..."
"You mean Vlad the impaler?" I almost cringed on hearing Vlad's name on her lips.
"Nope, it goes beyond that, the span of centuries before Vlad. It's said to be a fairytale, but it is a horror story in disguise. Enough of talk, now come on, trouble, let's get you out of here. So much for a date!" I said, making our way through the crypt.
"Date!?" She almost jumped. I gave her a warning look, signalling her to keep quiet.
"Snarling bastards," I grumbled at those shadows.
"Over there." Kora almost screamed while looking at a small opening at the far end. I shot her a look, mouthing, 'Don't scream.' Then I continued to look around the space to ensure we were not followed. We walked through the small opening to enter another cave.
"Are you a supernatural?" I asked the question that was constantly haunting my brain.
"I wish I could grow a fang, talon, or tail. But unfortunately, Nah!" She responded.
"Then how is it possible for you to see those shadows?" I asked.
"With eyes, I suppose," was her response. She thought I was mocking her.
"Humans can't see the shadows, for you need supernatural gifts to help in this department."
"Do I look gifted to you?" She asked, looking down at her frail body.
"I'm serious. You already knew we were in the attic, almost at the highest point of the Northern palace. And then you fell right into the belly of the mountain." I explained.
"So?" she asked.
"The distance is almost five miles. No one can survive such a fall, and that too on the rocky surface of a cave. It took me nearly half an hour to get here." I spoke.
"And how did it take just half an hour for you to reach here? And how can you see those shadows? With supernatural balls?" She taunted me, still not taking my words seriously.
"Could you stop obsessing over my balls for a few minutes?" I chuckled with a half laugh. I don't know why, but I enjoy my body parts conversations with her.
"It's hard not to obsess over your balls. I mean, they are noticeable. It's the same as telling someone scared of heights not to look down; they always do!"
"Would you leave me alone if I show you my balls?" I blurted out with a naughty wink.
"I can't leave you alone, considering all the types of creatures I'm attracting. Whereas, about your balls? I was just curious."
I grinned at her and said, "Well, that will be easy. I won't need to go behind the bushes whenever I need to piss."
"I think I would cope." She commented sarcastically.
"Gross woman!" I muttered, rolling my eyes while putting her on the floor. I continued to take long strides along what looked like an old overgrown footpath. Kora was running to keep up with my pace. We moved towards a darker part of the cave. The place was as incredible as it was intimidating. It was barren, with only a single thing growing.
A mass of tangled roots that were knotted at a few places!
Although the everyday roots are brown, these appear pale crimson and seem like a live wire with current flowing through them. It made them appear like living entities.
"Fuck!" I grunted the moment I realised what it was. I was still gulping the fear about the true horror of that thing, and a movement caught my eye. Kora moved about and was about to touch a branch of root that curved towards her.
"No! Don't touch..." I started to say, but it was too late.
