Scream Bloody Wolf!!…

*And sometimes the big bad wolf turns out to be the love of your life!!...*

**Proserpina's POV**
"Three-headed wolf!?" I almost screamed in shock.
Three things happened simultaneously a few seconds back; my lungs almost fell into my stomach when that vampire named Belphagor lunged at me. And the second thing was, my jaw nearly dropped out of my mouth when I saw Hades taking a massive plunge into the air to stop that vampire from getting me. But he was too late, as I was already hit, getting a massive shoulder cut. Nevertheless, Hades charged into that vampire, and his hammered fist connected with the vampire's face, knocking him back to the ground after only one punch.
"AHHH!" I screamed as I was also abruptly thrown backwards on the bare ground. I clutch my shoulder and take in large gulps of air in panic.
"Kora!" Hades looked as if he was shouting my name, but I couldn't hear anything but ringing in my ears. He grabbed one of my arms and shook me, gesturing me to move back.
"Hades, you need help!" I spoke, grabbing his meaty arm and pulling him as if scared of losing him, but he scoffed and said, "I fucking doubt that." The way he said those words, I quickly understood what he meant by that.
I crawled backwards like a crab until I had put enough space between those vampires and me to give a playground to Hades to play.
One lackey, who seemed second-in-command to Belphagor, rushed for him, but Hades ran at the weird tree, gaining momentum, running onto its trunk and with a solid reverse spin, dropped to a knee, and as he went, he grabbed his balls, yanking down as hard as he could before twisting the lemons! A sickening feeling, I swear, was running through my nerves as the vampire screamed in pure agony and went down like a pile of fossilized bones. Another one tried to attack Hades from the rear, but he spun out of his reach, gaining feet as quickly, and kicked out straight on the vampire's face that his nose exploded and neck broke.
"Holy shit!" I screamed with my jaws almost dropping on the floor. Hades turned to look at me, hinting at my dagger. I would have indeed denied him if not for being scared for him.
"Don't worry, their dicks will be safe this time," he winked as I unwillingly plucked the dagger from under my clothes and threw it up in the air for him to catch it right away. Just then, I saw a vampire barring his fangs at Hades' back. He threw the dagger and turned his head just in time to see if it had hit the mark. The handle struck out of the eye of the poor vampire.
"I hate you," I screeched at Hades' in utter shock, whereas he smirked at me and replied, "Love you too!" And then he quickly stamped on that poor vampire's head with such raw strength that his head literally exploded, and the dagger yanked out back into Hades' hand.
"See, I told you...no dick this time!" He grinned at me.
"Fuck you!" I rolled my eyes, folding my arms.
Hades moved back to Belphagor and knocked his cloak back, and I gasped when I saw his face. The vampire looked more like a ghost...or maybe a zombie...or somewhere in between. He was the perfect offspring born out of illegitimate sex between a ghost and a zombie because it was very difficult to tell if he belonged to the living or dead. His face was of a human male with deep sunken cheekbones as if made to starve on moths. His eyes were just two dots of crimson. His nose and mouth looked fossilized with a half-struck vampiric cockroach-like thing trying to crawl out. As for his hair, it looked like a floating black cloth.
"Get the fuck up and fight!" I shuddered at the rawness of Hades' voice. Belphagor pushed up and gained his footing once more. He sneered at Hades. Hades tried to hit him again, but Belphagor diffused into the smoke. Whenever Hades tried to hit Belphagor, he teleported to another location. Belphagor appeared behind Hades and hit him across the back. Hades roared in anger and grabbed him in time before he could disappear. Hades threw his body on the floor and dug his fingers into his eyes. Five of the lackeys charged at Hades, distracting him for a second, and just as Hades looked up to fight them, Belphagor disappeared into a cloud of smoke above him. He appeared above Hades and tried kicking at his legs, but Hades hardly moved. This made Hades smirk as he grabbed Belphagor's throat with his solid hand.
"Want to try that again, asshole?" Hades flashed a destructive grin that was pure, undiluted revenge to hunt evil before punching him square in the face. Hades yanked him forward, digging his fingers into Belphagor's neck. Then the weird thing happened to Hades, as his eyes bled lava, like the blazing fire of hell, as if a fucking storm was coming. Soon the fire spread through his torso. It looked as if a river of fire was flowing around his body. His muscles ripped as he threw his arms behind him and roared like a wild beast of hell. The fire flowed under his skin like a current, igniting a spark at his fingertips. They split, allowing a deadly talon to grow, curling into razor tips. Next, the fire split his skin to make way for what was underneath. Rows and rows of sharp and deadly spikes like fur started spreading through his body, shredding his human form. The spiky fur at his back was sharper, pointier and deadly, as if ready to impale the poor victims. It gave him a stegosaurus kind of look. He was at least ten feet high and was huge. His chest was more of a solid layer of pure muscle, rippling along with the deadly fur as he moved. His arms and legs stretched out, ending with the massive clawed paws, which gave him a demonic primate vibe. His claws were sharper and curled, showing a hint of glint like the sharpened edge of a knife. His body was nothing less than a living, breathing weapon.
"Time to die, asshole!" Hades snarled in a demonic growl I had never heard before, digging his claws deeper into the neck of Belphagor, and then burned him alive with the beam of hell-fire current. Belphagor cried out, twisting in panic as he started crumbling to ashes. Belphagor's legs fought frantically, whereas Hades' eyes grew wider as if enjoying the sight of pain.
"Enjoy hell, fucker!" Hades said through the deadly smile on his lips, as Belphagor's face was the last one to burn into ashes. And his last scream was so deafening that I didn't even know there could be a sound as terrifying as that. Belphagor has completely vanished as if he has never been here. The cockroach-like insect crawled out and scuttled towards me. My eyeballs were almost ready to burst due to fear, and I screamed bloody murder, trying to move away from that insect. In my panic, I didn't realize that one of the lackeys was behind me, trying to grab me. Hades looked directly at me as if making a quick decision. His eyes homed on that lackey, and at an impossible speed, he reached us and ripped that lackey's hand from the socket. He roared in agony as his neck was the next part to rip down.
"Woman!" Hades snarled at me.
Despite being glad that Hades saved me, I felt sick at the sight. The lackey's face crawled towards the body for maybe join back, so Hades threw the body far away. The other lackey opened its jaws wide like a snake, with fangs deadlier. Hades bumped into him, and the sharp spikes on his shoulder started to take over his entire claw, bursting the skin of the lackey.
I almost screamed in shock as I got the first glimpse of Hades in his true form, and the lethal beauty in his face had me gasping for breath.
A low forehead that connected to a thick muzzle. The line ran out right from the side of the nose, which became more prominent when he snarled. His eyes were slanted and almond-shaped, with the stripes running up to his ears, giving him a cunning grace. The eyes were the only thing left of Hades.
A shade of hell-fire!!
It took me a few seconds for the reality to start seeping back into my subconscious. Just like in my dreams, he was staring at me like a hungry wolf with not just one or two heads. He was my three-headed wolf.
"Oh God, no," I muttered in a barely heard whisper, but somehow he heard me. I knew it the moment he cocked his three heads to my side.
It was him!
And I couldn't breathe or move but take in his terrifying presence.
Just like in my dream, the guy was huge!
The wolf-man of my dreams was now staring at me as if looking straight into my soul, just like he had done in my dreams.
He seemed strangely familiar, as if I had looked into these three pairs of exotic eyes thousands of times in some other place and time. I have known him for centuries and loved him in life after life. He mouthed the words, 'Easy now', at me and then focussed on the enemies ahead.
"Aahhh, friends...I'm just dying to meet y'all," Hades' wolf roared into the night, and I could see hellish fire erupting from his mouth as if releasing an infection into the atmosphere. Then the ground started to vibrate as those vampires crawled their way through. I backed up closer to the tree and gripped tightly to the bark. Hades' fur now got replaced by the greyish metallic spikes, as if cooled volcanic rock. Red embers glowed beneath like raw energy breaking free. His claws and fangs had become deadly, and the moonlight glinted off the razor edges.
Then I saw the creatures emerging head-on at him like a swarm of broken people. They had shredded their human hosts and taken their insane vampiric forms. Now, they were staring at Hades in pure bloodlust. I knew this the second their eyes seeped with blood, veins turned black, and skin became a faint reddish-grey. Their fangs dripped with saliva, and deadly-looking talons grew under the fingernails. They snarled and then lunged for him.
"Fuckers!" Hades' snarled, looking unimpressed; he repositioned himself accordingly, ready for the swarm crawling his way.
The moment they lunged at Hades, his body erupted into crimson flames. The flames caught those parasites as they squirmed around, and their high-pitched squealing deepened. They sounded like howls of pain. His hands grasped the scorched limbs, tearing them and crashing them on the floor. Within seconds every last vampire turned to ashes. I felt sick seeing the massacre at the hands of Hades.
Everything was going fine, but then like I always say, 'My luck sucks.' This was proved the moment I heard an unnerving sound from up. 'The scavenger of the sky' was currently sitting on one of the crooked branches of the dead tree.
Damn Harpy!
This has wider wings and three rows of long, thin, pointed teeth. Her chin was narrow, and her nose prominent. She looked like the more gothic version of a damn harpy. Either way, she was ugly, and clicking her jaw didn't help her look any pretty. By logic, all she had to do was to fly high in the sky, away from the deadly grasp of Hades. But I knew something was wrong when she made a high-pitched cry and swooped low towards Hades. She then circled with her wings batting enough to help her stay mid-air. A flash of red gave a harrowing appearance to her dead eyes as if she was casting a spell. Although she was silent, I could feel the vibration of her cursed words. It felt so familiar that I had some hidden invisible power that helped me detect such things, and then I realized she was up to something.
Hades ran at her, gaining enough momentum to jump and finish her off at once, but before he could grasp her, he fell back with a deadly thud.
A sound of fur tearing, muscles stretching, bone snapping and loud echoing growls grumbled in my ears. Hades' golden eyes turned yellow; menacing fur turned to the skin, sharp-pointed claws to nails, and canine fangs to teeth. He was going wild, screeching in pain, growling, and getting out of control. His body rumbled in uncontrolled spasms; I could feel the pain that set his whole body on fire as if thrown into the burning hot lava. The way he suffered, it seemed as if someone was skinning him alive, plucking out his nails and tongue, draining him of all his blood. At that moment, I wished I could do something to soothe his pain. He was on the floor, groaning and whimpering in pain as his human identity took over his body and mind from the most dangerous, deadliest predator among werewolves. His continuous growls, moans, snarls and yelps perpetuated the surrounding air as deadly waves, constantly echoing through, giving a loud acoustic effect through the surrounding woods.

*I wish I could take away your pain!!...*
