Pure Agony

DACIANA

Daciana gritted her teeth in agony, as she felt different kind of gut wrenching pain wracking all through her body, as Helene dragged her roughly to the shack where they lived.

Chains were all over her body, on her neck, her left hands, and her legs.

She couldn’t even remember when Helene had tied her down, or chained her body all over, but she was feeling the heavy iron metal on her body.

Coughing bloodily, her eyes still closed, she could feel her body temperature getting high, as every part of her was burning hot.

Her lips quivered, and her teeth’s were chattering due to the cold, she still felt hot all over.

Her chest hurt badly, as there was a steady drumming sound between her breasts, and a reverberation of agonizing pain upward till her collarbone, and it felt like her bones were breaking in pieces.

Below the beating in her chest, there was a thick, spike like pressure that was driving down to her belly, as her freed hand clutched her stomach tightly.

Daciana felt like screaming out loud, wanting someone to come stop this hell she was in, but the roof of her mouth was so dry, and even when it was so cold she couldn’t even swallow anything.

All these pain were nothing, compared to the damage being done on her skin, as Helene dragged her on the rough floor.

She had no idea how many hours had passed since Helene had caught her trying to run with Ruby, but ever since that time, when her eyes had given way go unconsciousness, she had finally regained herself, waking up, her eyes still closed only to feel herself being dragged on the rusty ground, with sharp objects, tree barks and stems, and other painful objects digging inside her flesh.

The soles of her feet’s hurt so bad, it was as if the layers had been peeled off, with blood gushing out from them, but she had no idea because

She tried to open her eyes, but she couldn’t, because it hurt so badly, and also because she had this awful feeling that she wouldn’t want to see the awful fate that awaited her today.

If only she could close her eyes like this forever…

If only she could finally succumb to death, in this pain she was feeling right this instant, she thought to herself as she sniffled slowly.

“You bastard!”

A kick landed on her shin making her yelp loudly, and suddenly she felt Helene leave her, and roughly her head hit the ground.

“Mom, whoa, she did try to escape? How could she?”

“Where’s Ruby? These sisters are something else. After what her mother made you go through, they thought they could escape from our grip. They have no idea what they just signed up for.”

Her ears were hurting so badly, but she didn’t need a soothsayer to tell her that it was Princess and Bianca talking, and sniffing trying to smell and get a hold of her surroundings since she didn’t want to open her eyes just yet, she could sense that she was back at the shack.

“You thought you could escape scot free huh?” Helene asked her, as a kick to her belly followed suit, and Daciana yelled out in pain gritting her teeth, and holding her stomach tightly again. HerHer limbs were screaming so badly, numb not to pain only but to the agony bottling up inside her but she just couldn’t stop this feeling.

“Ruby tried to escape, and you thought you could right?” Helene asked again, and this time she waited for the kick to her shin, back or belly but she got nothing, instead this time she felt broom sticks, descending on her body as Helene wiped her furiously.

Daciana counted it, one, two, three, and then she couldn’t take the pain any longer, as her mouth broke open, and a sob sprang forth.

“Please, please…” She begged, her voice breaking, as she painstakingly opened her closed eyes.

The fresh blast of sunlight on her face, was so piercing that the instant she opened her eyes, she closed them again, and the next time she opened it, she was facing downwards looking at the muddy ground and grasses that she was laying on.

“Pour her that muddy water.” She could hear Helene ordering, and in a split second, Daciana felt herself being soaked in muddy water.

The muddy water, stank so badly. It smelled of poop, maybe animal or human dung she had no idea, and shutting her mouth tightly, she composed herself well so she wouldn’t have to swallow or taste any bit of it.

The stinky smell of the slimy liquid, had her gasping for breath too, as she tried to use her chained hands to wipe the water of her face, but before she could even lift the freed hands to her face, she felt someone’s leg on her hands, matching on her fingers, and crushing the bone while she shouted in pain.

“Arghhh… Please don’t do this. I beg you.” She stuttered, not caring about the liquid entering her mouth anymore, and also not knowing where the strength to talk had come from.

“When you tried to run, when you foolishly tried to follow your sister who is ten times stronger and more powerful than you, you had no idea what you were doing right?” Helene asked, the sarcastic tone evident in her voice, and her daughters Princess and Bianca chuckled loudly.

“Daciana… Oh mom what have you done?” Diana was here.

Daciana felt like crying tears of joy, as she heard Diana approach her, her feets shuffling rushing towards her, and in seconds she felt Diana’s hands around her as she gathered her in her arms.

Daciana’s slowly turned her body, trying to look at her, the tears she could no longer hold back, streaming down her face.

“Daciana, oh goodness. Look at you, see the blood stains damnit. Mom, why do you have to do this?” Diana yelled loudly, her arms still around her, rubbing slowly at Daciana’s shoulders, while she shuddered in pain and cold.

“Are you crazy? Get out of her this instant!” Helene yelled, but still Diana kept holding on to her, defiant and unmoving.

“I said leave her alone!” Helene yelled again, and Daciana watched as Diana shook her head and then said, “I won’t mom. I won’t. She doesn’t deserve all this. She shouldn’t be punished like this.”

“She tried to escape from here, and you said she shouldn’t be punished. Are you crazy sister?”

This time it was Princess talking, and Bianca was also there saying incomprehensible things that Daciana couldn’t hear.

“You have the audacity to talk back at me?” In a swift movement, Daciana felt Diana’s embrace leaving her, and then she heard the sound of a harsh slap on Diana’s face as she yelled in pain.

“I will deal with you too. You think you can talk to me anyhow? Oh I’ll deal with you.” Helene said to Diana and added, “Take her inside Princess. By the time I’m done with her today, she would regret ever talking to me that way.”

“As for you…” Helene said, turning to face her and squatting she took her hair in a tight grip that hurt really bad and then she said, “I will make sure you see hell. You thought you could run away right. Your suffering and punishments in this house just doubled. You’ll suffer all the things your sister is meant to suffer, and luckily no one is here to save you. You’re going to hate me, when I’m done with you. Take her to the shack den and lock her up.” Helene finished, commanding Bianca as she finally let go of her hair.
The reality of Helene’s words slamming on her, Daciana started to beg profusely, tears streaming down her face heartbreakingly.

She couldn’t hold it back any longer, and even though she was weak to the bones, she knew she just had to do something, say anything too, damn!

“Please ma, please. It’s not my fault, I promise you I won’t run. I promise that…”

“You promise what? Come on shut the hell up.” Bianca said, kicking her jaw shut, and holding her freed hands, she started to drag her roughly on the ground, without even stopping at once.

“Please…” Daciana begged, and continued begging even as Bianca took her to the cold smelly den, but she didn’t listen to her pleas even for once.

As soon as the got to the shack’s den, Bianca roughly threw her to the floor, in a pile of hay and urine stench, and leaving her there and locking the door behind her, Daciana finally gave in to the gut wrenching tears, that she had kept burning at the back of her eyes.

She cried her hearts out, as she thought of so many things.

Ruby was no more, and she was alone, and thinking about this all over again, cursing herself and her powers for failing her at this crucial time, Daciana sobbed and cried until she couldn’t anymore and she passed out from her slumber.
