The Tragic Event
ALASKA
LUCY AND MICHEAL HATI
The weather was getting mysterious, strange and dark all of a sudden.
As their carriage drove them back to their home, on the rocky parts that led to the boundary that divided Alaska from the outskirts and other villages, Lucy Hati unnaturally became stable.
It was as if her guts were telling her something bad, and no matter how bad she tried to shake the feeling it came back.
As for Micheal, he was just whistling, trying to use his magic to communicate with the gods but nothing was forthcoming.
It was as if the gods had abandoned them, and just then a heavy thunder strike jolted the couple together, and their horses whirred noisily.
Now, they knew danger was nigh, and they both panicked.
"Honey..." Lucy called out to her husband, as she grabbed his hand tightly, clasping it in hers and squeezing it tightly in fear.
Again, the carriage jolted, and it felt as if the road was splitting in two all of a sudden.
What could be the meaning of this?
They were just on the way home, to meet their daughters, after visiting Agatha the witch who had made their dreams come true, but everything now seemed like it was in jeopardy.
Both Lucy and Micheal didn't know who to ask, as they looked at each other in the face.
Lucy could see the fear in her husband's eyes, and it was the same for Micheal too.
"What's?... What's the meaning of this Micheal?" Lucy screamed, holding onto his arms with a scream ad the carriage jolted yet again.
"I don't know Lucy... I don't know." Micheal answered her, and removing his grip from her hands sharply, he turned towards the glass window wanting to look outside to see if he could see anything, maybe ask for help.
He knew they were the only ones in the road, as people rarely frequented this place except on specific occasions.
But still he decided to try his luck.
Before he got to the edge of the window though, he didn't know what blasted him but a full force from nowhere had him tumbling into his wife's body.
"Honey... Honey are you okay?" Lucy asked her husband frantically, but he made no response as tried to get a grip on himself.
Micheal couldn't even pull himself back up, because the next thing they heard was thunder rumbling, lightening striking and a heavy torrent of rain poured down on them, breaking their window glasses with force and water began streaming the carriage.
"Oh my goodness Lucy... I don't think we're going to survive th..." Micheal hadn't even finished his statement with the carriage lost balance and overturned.
"Lucy!" Micheal screamed as the carriage tumbled, and the wind that was blowing horrendously made the carriage swerve and they both didn't know then the vehicle swerved and hovered atop a cliff.
"Lucy... Lucy look at me." Micheal said frantically to his wife who had blood gushing from a part of her cheek.
It seemed the shards of glass from the broken windows earlier, had gotten her injured.
"Fuck! Lucy just hang on, I'll get us out of here." He said, making moves to scramble and open the carriage's door, but his efforts proved abortive, worsening the situation instead.
The carriage shaked, and the horses neighed screaming on the top of their lungs.
"Micheal... I... I think this is the end!"
"Don't say that Lucy. I love you, and we have our daughters back at home who love you, who love us too. Think about them and..."
Lucy's eyes shut close.
"Lucy!" Micheal screamed shaking her body, and his actions brought them to their fate.
With just one push of Lucy's stiff body, the weight of the carriage changed, and loosening it's tires from the hinges on the cliff that was keeping them bereft, the carriage fell off in a swift motion and landed Lucy and Micheal Hati to their demise.
Indeed it was the end for them, just as Much had predicted before she died.
The dark mist of sorrow had indeed done it's work.

BACK IN ALASKA
HELENE LUPIN (DACIANA & RUBY'S AUNT)
Fragile crawling Daciana, started bawling out loud much to the detriment of Helene.
She had no idea why her brother and wife had left his children in his care, like they normally did when they went on one of their useless couple outings, and at the thought she scoffed hard.
Why were they not even back?
It was almost 8pm, and yet she had gotten no news of their arrival.
Or had they gone to their home, forgetting their daughters in her care and disrupting her own personal activities.
If they came tonight, she was definitely going to give Micheal a piece of her mind.
This was the last time they were going to do something like this.
"Fucking shut up!" She barked at the toddler in her arms, that was crying for no reason at all.
Her yell, had definitely infuriated the situation, because Daciana kept on screaming so loudly that Helene's daughters, that she had put to sleep earlier on woke up too, and started screaming out her name.
"Fuck!" Helene cursed, dropping Daciana roughly on the floor and walking to the room to calm her children down.
A widow (She divorced her husband, who later died) with two kids, Helene was what you would describe as a self inclined, wicked and obnoxious bitch.
It was evident in the way she grabbed a whip, trying to scare of Ruby, Daciana's sister when she came out of her children's room.
Ruby the older daughter of the Hati's had a knife in her hands, and she had seemingly injured herself as blood was dripping from her left thumb.
She was standing beside her sister Daciana, who still on the floor, crying and sucking her babyish thumbs as if she was hungry despite her tears.
"Just what have you done?" Helene asked furiously, head aching as she flogged the poor girl brutally.
The girl's were giving her headache, making her quiet cottage feel like a loud house, but what Helene didn't really know that the girls together had felt the tragedy that had befallen their parents.
The blood signified death, and the screams signified the cries and tears that would flow soon.
On that day, Daciana and Ruby became orphans, losing their parents to a tragic and unfortunate event rendering them homeless, and in very bad end.
It was another doom dream for them.
