Chapter Fifteen
Damon
I make my way down the dark hallway, hearing my shoes clicking. The sound of whispers are clear and almost impossible for me to shut them out but I come down here for a reason, for the sake of Alice. My heart sinks at the thought of her being hurt and I wasn't there to make her feel safe. I wasn't even there to protect her and it was my biggest mistake. Therefore, I brought in the man.
"He's all tied up." Logan says, telepathically.
"Perfect. I'm on my way,"
Alice, has become my main priority. The moment our eyes met at the night of the charity event, I instantly knew how I would risk my whole life for her. After I got the chance to get to know her more, I fell deeper in love—my wolf has been quite overprotective but I'm able to hold him back. It took me decades to finally be able to control him and I'm glad I did because if I didn't, Eric would be dead by now. There would be no interrogation. I'd rip him in half.
The pain was too much. That day, I felt it in my heart and I was already on the way to her house, even though I was a little bit too late but I made it. There she was, lying on the ground with blood all over her clothes. It didn't take me long to bring her to the hospital and I waited until she was awake while I map out all the maximum pain I can give to that bastard before ending him.
"He thinks he can pay us with money," He adds.
"That, motherfucker." I respond.
For all my life, I have dreamed of having a soulmate to share everything with. The moment I found Alice was perfect and after letting this happen to her, I will forever blame myself. This is my way of revenge to her ex-boyfriend. He had hurt her before which is why he wasn't afraid of doing it all over again.
As soon as I push the door open, I see him sitting there in the middle. A bright light shining on top of him as everything around the room is left to be in the dark. He has both of his eyes squinting as he struggles to break free, his mouth stuffed shut and his wrists tightly handcuffed. Logan appears from the side of the wall, handing me a knife.
Eric's eyes widen in an instant, shaking in fear.
"You don't know me," I start as I pull a chair, sitting in front of him. "But, I'll be the last thing you remember before you die."
Logan roughly rips the tape away from my mouth, earning a scream from him. His entire body is shaking and trembling in fear—I don't blame him, anyone would be terrified if they were in his shoes. My pack is known to be ruthless and cruel when it comes to punishing people. We never hurt humans but this man, in front of me, decided it was fun to hurt my girl. So, the punishment comes.
"Please, I'll give you everything. All the money," He says.
"I don't want your money. I have more,"
"What do you want?" He asks, looking around.
As soon as his eyes land on Logan, he earns a hard slap. The sound loud enough and it echoes in this empty room which causes him to scream once again. My wolf somehow wants to take over but I continue to push him deeper in, not wanting him to end this man's life without having fun torturing him first. He needs to learn his lesson.
"You see this knife?" I ask, raising an eyebrow. "It's small."
"Please, don't hurt me." He begs.
"But, it can pierce into your heart."
I stand, circling around him before grabbing roughly onto his hair which causes his head to lean back in surprise. The look on his face is pathetic and the fear in his eyes is very clear. The way he keeps on trembling, probably praying to his god about how he had made a mistake and he would repent. However, it would all be too late.
"You messed with the wrong person. You're dead meat," I continue.
"I didn't do anything. I swear, I didn't do anything!"
"Untie him,"
Logan and a few other members continue to untie him, leaving his hands free. I immediately grab him by the collar of his shirt before pulling him to stand up. Truth be told, he's a strong young man and he would be able to beat another man without trouble but he is dealing with me—a werewolf. A man stronger than anyone else. He wouldn't stand a chance.
I punch him across the face which causes him to fall down onto the ground, his lips already bleeding and his nose somehow broken. "Fuck!" He shouts.
Instead of waiting for him to stand up, I crouch down to his level and head on with multiple punches. Both of his hands try to push me away and return the fists but he fails miserably. My body is stronger and my wolf is also helping me in hurting this man.
I pull myself back, satisfied at seeing him with two bruised eyes and his bloody face. Honestly, I can beat this man to death and wouldn't even be satisfied enough. I want to put him through different types of pain that would be able to make sure, he'd beg me to let him die because right now, he is still begging me to let him free.
I'm not stupid enough to do that. I'll have him in my own ways.
"Please, please, just tell me what I did!"
"You know, it's not nice to go around hurting people. However, you deserve this and so much more. So, today, you'll look at my face—make sure you remember this fucking face because I'm going to make you suffer. I'm going to make you beg, make you weak and then you'd be begging me to end you,"
"Fuck you! Fuck all of you!" He shouts.
I grab the knife from my back pocket before pulling his hand up, roughly and quickly cutting a finger off. The way blood starts to stream down his hand surprises me, this man knows he is in pain and he realises that but he's working out on trying to escape. The way he shouts in pain doesn't ease me so I decide to cut another finger off, leaving him with only this thumb on his left hand.
Logan smirks, eyes yellow before he kicks him in the stomach.
"He wants more. We give him more," I mutter, clenching my jaw.
"Please . . . please, just let me go."
I continue to beat him up, kicking and throwing punches which causes bruises to form up on his body. The way he is already curling up in pain as he tries to hold onto himself but he is left with a few broken ribs, a broken arm and much more—I lost count on how many punches I've thrown. I can only see the look on Alice's face when she was hurt. I am only doing this for Alice.
"He's going to die," Logan says, breaking my thoughts as I hold my current punch.
"Then, let's stop or we can't burn him alive." I respond.
Eric continues to scream and shout as soon as Logan picks him up across his shoulder, the rest of us making our way towards the deeper hallway. As soon as we reach the exact room, I realise that the cremator has already been turned on and it is only missing a human body.
His screams and his begs are only music to my ears as Logan drops him off on the tray. They begin to tie him tightly which causes him to struggle, kick off his legs and try to break free but I've had enough of this game. All I can think of are happy moments with Alice and how this man should just die.
Yes, I'm a sinner and I will always commit great sins. However, this one is worth it to watch him suffer, to break his bones and to watch him turn into ashes as he is burned alive—he will feel all the pain throughout his entire body. So, my lips curve up into a smirk as soon as the tray is being pushed inside the cremator, his screams filling the room and I hear bones cracking.
I watch as the fire burns him alive.
The sound of his voice is slowly disappearing until they are no longer heard.
"It's done." Logan says, making me nod.
"Good. Take his ashes and throw it in the river,"
I make my way out of the room, glancing down at my hands to find the leftover blood before heading straight out. Now, that one distraction is out of the way, there will be no reason for him to come and ruin what is ahead of Alice's future. She has suffered enough and now she will continue to thrive.
'You're satisfied?' My wolf asks, all of a sudden.
'Very.'
'He got what he deserved.'
'It was less than that,'
My mind wanders off to think about Alice, wanting to know how she is coping with herself at the moment. She is healing, mentally and it took her years to finally be comfortable around that bastard, Eric but he ended up ruining his chance.
As soon as I'm back at my house, I see Sam standing near the kitchen counter as she pours a glass of water. The look on her face is obvious, she knows what happened and what I did. When it comes to Sam, she disagrees with the whole violence thing going on but apparently, I had no other choice.
"Have a glass of water. You must be exhausted," She glances down at the blood.
"If I told you, you'd disapprove." I respond, making my way towards her.
Sam sighs, crossing her arms. "When it comes to doing things for our mates . . . I really have nothing against it. Especially after what he did to Alice,"
"Well, do you want to know the details of what I did?" I raise an eyebrow, smirking.
"I'd rather not but looking at the blood all over your hands and your clothes, pretty clear it was extreme." She shakes her head, pointing towards the sink. "Wash your hand first before you touch anything in the kitchen. You're bringing bacteria all over,"
I chuckle, doing as told. Sam feels like a mother to me—a mother I never had after a very long time. She knows how to make me feel at home despite the loneliness creeping in at night. Other than that, her cooking is just as amazing. She would sometimes sit and listen to my problems, she'd give the best advice ever.
"I'm actually very happy for you," She starts off.
"Why is that?" I sit down, sipping water.
"You finally found her,"
"Yeah, I didn't expect it. She's too perfect,"
Everything about Alice is perfect. There may be flaws here and there but I'm blinded from all of that—even if I see them, I'd look away because I accept her for the way she is. She is too perfect, too beautiful and I don't know how anyone can even lay a finger to hurt her. I'd do anything to come in their way and protect her with all of my life.
"I'm glad. You deserve it. After all the effort you did to this pack," She says.
"I just did what I had to do. This pack has always been my priority,"
"Now, you have two." She smiles, "What happens now?"
"Are you that excited for your luna?" I smirk.
"I've been waiting for decades."
"I don't know. I reassured her that I won't push her into anything,"
"That's very thoughtful of you."
I smile, "She's human. She doesn't know our ways or our culture. One day, she will and I'd like to guide her through everything but she needs time—she needs to have it all in her own comfortable pace. I've waited for what feels like an eternity and I don't mind waiting for some more because now, I already have her. I already know she's mine,"
Sam continues to smile, patting onto my back.
I'd do anything for my Alice.
