Chapter 28: Missing Diamond Rings

Anastasia's POV
"What came over you Mr President? '' I whispered after we came up for air,torn between whether it's the clicking camera or President Aaron's smug smile that kept dazzling my eyes.
"It's Aaron now and I'm officially your new boyfriend" he whispered, smoothing out my ever loving hair.
Nobody else mattered at the moment except the cute baby in black suits clutching to my right leg, we were completely engrossed in this rather interesting conversation.
"Aaron,this is a rather surprising update to our contract" I whispered taking a peep at the smudge ugly look on Vincent and his girlfriend's face while Jennifer gave me a thumbs up,kisses and a wink which made me giggle.
"Oh Anna, you look so beautiful when you smile like that " he said a little bit loudly causing an "Awww" from the audience.
"I would like to make a special announcement," said President Aaron Blacks ,also known as my fiance, turning his attention to the audience. The noise died down the moment he turned.
"I will gift the whole of the Academy and it's associate building to my fiance as an engagement gift"
"Ahhh" My mouth was also wide agape.
"You didn't have to"
"Will have done more if you were my real girl" he whispered bending down to kiss me and this time around it tasted like candies dipped in creamy ice cream, the sensation "ahhh"

I blushed ,my whole attention on this Greek god as he hugged me one last time before holding my hands and Ava's in the other leading us out ,the men in black all around us.
"Wait…"
"Is there a problem?" He turned to ask,stopping his long stride that I wonder how Ava keeps up with,while I am trying to fall all over the place in these heels.
"My friend Jennifer is here"
"Good,call her. " And I left his hands to go hug Jennifer and dragged her along with us.
"Did you see the way Director X's face lit up when he saw me with you guys?! I'm so gonna be a superstar" she whispered all excitedly as she kept looking at my ring.

"I know!"
We were led to a parade of expensive sleek looking back cars.
"If you don't mind Miss Janet, Ann and I have something to discuss"He politely led Jennifer to the next car while he pulled me to a car that is...
Jennifer:Dude,this is the limited edition of Rolls Royce Cullinan Black Badge. This is the most expensive SUV of the year! *Inserts a crazy looking emoji"
Of course, only my best girl will send me a message when we are literally two feets away.
I kept quiet taking in the luxurious interior of the car and how rich it smells.
"To Miss Anastasia's"
"Okay Boss" and the car was put into a smooth gear when Ava lifted her hands to me and I picked her up.
"You looked beautiful princess"
"Thank you mummy " she said lying down on my lap while she kept playing with the glitters ony clutch.
"You should thank me already"
"For?" I was confused before I remember.
"Oh"
"It's the laws of power. As a lady you should know this better than me…Always get a better man, that's the best revenge to give to an ungrateful ex"
"Okay boyfriend you mean…"I smiled at his point.
"I meant Man, I am in no way related to the term 'boy' " he stressed on the word boy looking ahead without even sparing me a glance.
"Thank you so much President Aaron" I sincerely thanked him.
"It's Aaron and kissing you was a pleasure" he said outrightly.
"Jezz Man, what about your ring?" I asked, twirling the ring around my fingers ,blushing hard when the memories of his kiss came back flooding.
"Hope it's with your consent ,all these?" He asked, looking into my eyes and adjusting Ava's hair.
"It's fine" I whispered while I was literally belly dancing in my head. Man,I wouldn't mind being kissed all day by you.
"Keep the ring safe before the frenzy dies down. Will come get it,it's a generational family heirloom"
"Okay, thank you for tonight" I thanked him once again when we pulled up at the apartment pecking sleeping Ava on the forehead after tricking her into her baby chair to go out and meet Jennifer who was waiting for me all giddy.
"Oh my goodness best friend,what the hell is going on with the billionaire,the frenzy and now this?!" She shouted, taking my left arms and looking at the rings again.
"Let's go in" I said, hearing the cars speed away the moment we entered our apartment.
"Can you at least tip me what good deeds you did in your last life that got you so much luck. It's so surreal!"
"I'm the one that is feeling more shocked and overwhelmed, I only read this things in books"
"And movies" she finished removing and flinging her extremely high shoes ,going through her phone.
"Check this out…your engagement news is trending with over 7 million people talking about it worldwide"
"Haha" I laughed weirdly still having a deep feeling that all these could be a dream, a fairy tale.
"Maybe I should just quit my search for passion and focus on yours …" she asked absentmindedly, looking so engrossed on her phone.
"I will take a shower now" I whispered heading for the room ,still dazed by the whole thing.
"Hey Mrs Blacks ,you might want to remove your ring and keep it safe before someone cuts it off your wrist"
"Did you have to Jennifer?" I almost gagged at the mental picture of what she just said.Went ahead to the kitchen to get some water ,staring at the way the ring was shining making the whole small kitchen look dazzling when the bulb rays showed on it.
Jennifer is right, I should probably remove it. I tried removing it and kept making a mental note to come pick it up after taking my shower.
"Hey, good thing you are out of the shower.Lets take a picture of the ring and try to …"
"The ring is in the kitchen…" I went back to the sink side to check for it and my heart didn't skip a beat, this time around it sped up so bad and I felt like I was in some kind of marathon!
I checked around but still couldn't see it, but it was here!
