Chapter 35: Baby Knows how to woo me

ANASTASIA'S POV
"I am the mother of the child!" I shouted to the two much bodyguards standing around the VIP elevator,I don't need to wait for President Aaron Black's designated driver to show me the way.
I was deep in sleep trying to rest from the so much mental exhaustion I have been going through when Aaron's phone call came through jerking away the sleep from my eyes and entire soul.
"Who is bold enough ,questioning my wife?" I was too shocked with Ava's home accident to even react to him publicly calling me his wife but the bodyguards sure dropped their jaws immediately standing still.
Geez, military much?
"Aaron, where is Ava?" I asked him grabbing his arms and dragging him towards the private elevator holding to his arms while holding my breath hoping that baby Ava is safe.
"How is she doing ?" I asked staring at the blink light to turn green.
"The doctor said she will be alright"
"Are you sure?" I asked again.
"She was sleeping and your noise would have woken her up that's why I came immediately but one thing I am not sure of is the state of my arms with the way you are holding on to it"
"Oppss" I lessened my grip on his arms without letting go. I need to feel some sense of security because my nerves are all over the place.
"But what where you thinking leaving a girl to play dangerously around?"
"It's the audacity..." He began when the red light turned green with a blink sound as the wide door opened.
"Save it, we will talk after this..." I started walking fast when his arrogant snicker made me to turn to see him walking the other way.
"Oh..." I rushed following him as he opened a door revealing a sleeping princess.
"Oh my baby" I whispered going to kneel beside her bed staring at her calm innocent form.
"Careful with the hands" that's when I noticed the white sling with her hands out up. That must be painful for a little girl, how did she even get to this position?
"Why will you let her hurt herself so dangerously?"
I asked him , disappointed in him for the first time and this mistake shoes that he is human and capable of errors after all.
"I should be the one looking for a lawyer and suing you for giving me an untrained dog to babysit" he said his eyes blazingly fierce.
"Dior? What happened to Dior?" I asked standing up to look at him and better comprehend the situation of things.
"You heard me right. Dior was messing around the house, Ava only wanted to run after him and calm him down and see where she lands..."
"Oh my goodness. I am so sorry, will take Dior first thing tomorrow morning. I really apologize..."
"You should be thanking me for getting him a trainer as soon as possible..."
I don't care how arrogant or bitter he sounds right now. It's my fault that Ava is in this condition and I bow to kick out my sister and her partner out. They are the reason for making me take Dior to the Black's villa.
Poor Ava ,as I'd undergoing a trauma is not enough mad now this with a robotic father. I tried to control my emotions and hurt but I couldn't.
"Are you really crying right now? Ava's cry Is more than enough " he said his voice a little but softly as he turned his face around but not on mine.
*Knock knock*
"Yes come in Doctor"
Was shocked he knew who was at the door but he roles his eyes and he crooked his eyebrows pointing towards something that looks like a CCTV camera but smaller at the top right corner of the pink Disney princess decorates hospital ward.
I cleaned off my eyes and move closer to the Doctor who greeted me with a bow and shook President Aaron hands.
"Came to check up on her"
"Please go ahead" he checked her pupils, the drips and a few more things o dint have an idea about when he sighed. Wrote in a note pad and turned almost bumping into Aaron and who were standing close to him.
",She is stable and will be fit to go home by tomorrow but will pen down her medication and dos and don't. She will need to be closely monitored all the time and eat healthy too"
"Okay Doctor" we both said at the same time
"Good night then, do alert me when something unusual happens"
"Of course" and he bowed leaving us and the tenses drug smellling pink room.
Odd combination.
"Well, I suppose you don't have a choice but to move in with immediate effect"
"What do you mean?"
"Should I remind you the person responsible for this situation beside she needs someone she trust to be here with her all the time ...I do have some high priority business to attend to..." Hands In pocket authoritatively as usual.
"But..."
"And you signed a contract already " he pinned me down with a really mean accusing look.
"Okay...but tomorrow" I whispered dejectedly. This man clearly owns my soul especially the moment he realise that the engagement ring is missing.
"No problem, I will have someone to help you with packing" I nodded my head knowing that this Man is definitely going to be the death of me.
I sighed and dragged a chair close to Ava and tried my best to stay awake while keeping watch over her.
"Mummy"
"Mummy"
The voice was faint and it seems so far away. I must be dreaming and this pillow seems to be a little bit harder but at least it is more warm.
I dragged it to go under my neck just the way I want it when the hard warm pillow laughed.
"Oh wait" I opened my eyes to come in contact with a beard? A beard when did a pillow grow beards?
"Mummy looks funny while sleeping" came a soft voice.
Oh shit, I rubbed my eyes and took Aaron's hands off me mad my head off his shirt quickly going over to Ava's side.
"Ava princess, how are you feeling" I asked relieved.
"I am so happy mummy is coming home"
Way to go, Ava just stamped the deal.
