Chapter 33:A Little Accident

Anastasia's POV
"Hey baby are you okay?" Aaron kept whispering to Ava who looked dazed and scared.
"My son should be the one to be checked for. She pushed him " accused a chubby looking woman taking baby wipes and cleaning off some bruises from her son's elbow.
"How much do you need?" Aaron asked not even looking at the woman or her baby. His whole attention was on Ava while Dior kept barking.
"How rude…"I had to zone out and step in even though I was internally shaking.
"Hey, ma'am sorry about my baby. They must have been playing. Let me see that" the woman looked at me before allowing her son to stretch his hands to me.
I opened my small side bag and removed a balm and a tiny sticker.
"What's your name strong man?" I also dthe boy trying to distract him while I cleaned the place off the spit which wasn't serious thankfully before applying the balm and sticker.
"Well, Kevin.Who is your superhero?"
"Spiderman!" He shouted excitedly.
"Well, you have to be strong like Spiderman and don't cry, okay" I said, blowing off the wound before standing up and smiling politely at the woman.
"Ava baby,tell your friend Kevin sorry for pushing him"
"Mmmm"
"Sorry about that ma'am. It won't leave a scratch" I said assuring her,now looking visibly relaxed.
"It's fine,you must have learnt that from having kids?"
"No, I am a kindergarten teacher ,so first aid comes with the job …" I said smiling and picking Ava up from a really angry looking Aaron.
"Well Sir, you do have a beautiful lovely wife"
"I make the best choice" he said with a straight face as the woman took her son and took the other way, not giving me the chance to explain that I am not his wife.
Ava refuses to wave Kevin goodbye.
"Conflict resolution management skills" I ignored him and hugged Ava checking her body for any injury but she seems too quiet.
"That's why I don't normally bring her out to avoid all these Miss Anastasia" Oh now,it's not Ann anymore I rolled in my head.
"These are the fun parts of childhood Mr President"
"Mummy," Ava said quietly, making my tummy flutter at the mention of the word.
"Yes princess?"
"What's a Spiderman?"
"Are you fucking kidding me right now!" I turned to Aaron who scratched his ehad and shrugged.
"Language"
"Don't language me, doesn't she watch television and cartoons"
"I don't want her brain cells damaged with all the electromagnetic rays and…"
"Shut it!" I shouted at him, that means she doesn't watch television except in school. Ava does need help,being with a man like this.
And she just found her fairy godmother.
"Get your car ,to the movies now!" I command. I might as well start taking my job as Ava's nanny or whatever fancy names he calls seriously.
"The car is already here" I rolled my eyes and followed him with Dior along as the driver took us to the Silver night Cinema.
"Barbie" wa showing on the kids session
"No, don't make me do this"
"I thought your daughter was your priority?"
"I will go get popcorn and ice cream," he said without arguing.
"You need to let her have a normal childhood" I whispered while Ava sat down enthusiastically watching the television,the driver took Dior back to the Blacks.
"I never had a normal childhood,how would I know"
"Oh" and we continued watching the movie in silence while munching on our popcorn, his hands grazing my bare one the entire time.
"Hey movie is over my ladies" Aaron chuckled, waking Ava and I up.
"What an amazing movie" I yawned, picking Ava up and he chuckled again, which he rarely does except when Ava is around. It's always like a low rich rumble with a timber melody.
"Now ,we go shopping !" I shouted excitedly as we left the cinema when I saw an adjourning kid store.
"Let me have someone call the companies directly,this place is crowded"
"Ava, race me to the elevator" I said as Ava sped up towards the elevator without me drawing the mark.
"I came first!" I faked panting.
"You're so fast and strong Ava, how did you do it"
"I am strong like spider man mummy" she said and I smiled giving her a peck while Aaron picked her up and led us into the elevator.
"You're such a wild creature Ann"
"Thank you Beast Aaron" I roared, making Ava laugh.
"Lion"
"So smart of you to figure out my bedroom personality"
"Jezz" the things this man says and do might lead me to Hades!
The elevator had to make it worse with people compressing me right into Aaron who seemed to be enjoying it and he placed his other hands around me,pulling me closer to his hard form.
My eyes almost popped out and he had the guts to snicker without a care.
Released the breath I was holding when the elevator came to a halt, Aaron following me as we entered the supermarket with Ava in the basket taking whatever toy or book she fancies while Aaron,hands in pocket, followed us closely behind.
"Now it's bicycle time!"
"Yes mummy! Bicycle for Dior too" and I laughed at the child's sheer innocence heading to the bicycle section.
"Give us the best bicycle " I hit his stomach with my elbow.
"Can we have a friendly starter bicycle or tricycle for my princess here"
"Of course ma'am , your baby is so pretty like you"
"They are mine" answered Aaron which earned him a stump on the feet.
"Thank you"
After a long day. Aaron called someone to come pick the stuff while he offered to drive me home.
Ava peacefully slept in my arms till she shook violently. Split seconds and then went back to sleep.
"Daddy is here baby, I love you" Aaron whispered and gave her a peck and I was consumed with everything, love for Ava,pity , admiration for how Aaron is trying at this Daddy thing despite his shitty Alpha male threat.
"Thank you for today and for offering to keep Dior. Will come in next week…"
"You will have to move in if you want to be with him" he winked with that devious smirk.
"Hah!"
"Good night wifey"
"Take care of Ava ,will you ?" I whispered.
"I promise,it will be a lot better with you around" I sighed and pecked Ava good night.
