Chapter 22

I stared at the bones beside, it's been 12 days in the cell and I haven't have any access to any food or water. Dominic had ordered his guards or servants from coming to see me and preparing a meal for me too.

I stared at the bones, walking towards them. At this point of time, I don't think I can survive this anymore. The pain, the torture, the torment only keep getting worst each time I make an attempt to bring him down. The held the bone in my hand as I shivered in fear, I bite on it.... It had a disgusting smell and was inhabited by maggots.

" What do you think you are doing? Throw that away!" Reynold yelled walking into my cell.

" Reynold is that you? " I asked, everything appeared blur. He opened my gate, pulling me into a hug.

" I can't believe he did this to you, I tried coming into here severally but he keep stopping me from coming. I tried convicing him to let you out but he threatened to kill whenever I mentioned your name. " He said, as tears rolled down his cheek.

" I'm sorry Reynold! I'm sorry, for putting you in this mess. I'm sorry for putting you in tears. " I pleaded hugging him tightly.

" I should be the one apologizing, I should have told him that I was the one responsible for the attack not you. I was too dumb and scared of him, I should have stand up for you " he said pecking my forehead.

" It's okay Reynold, don't blame yourself. I think the best thing to do is to back down now. I don't want anyone getting hurt because of me. The more we try to get him down, the more harm he cause, I don't want that anymore." I said, tracing my fingers on his face.

" You told me that whatever happens, we aren't backing down, if we give up now, he would still torture you. He would use you for his own pleasure, I'm tired of seeing that, I want to destroy all the wolf bane in the farm. This time I would do it alone, I won't mind being caught by him." He said, in a tone of regret and pain.

" I don't know how to thank you enough Reynold! I don't have anything to offer. " I said, hurting into tears, he pulled me into a hug again.

" I don't want anything from you dear, I am doing what I am suppose to do a long time ago. " He said helping me out of the dungeon. We headed to the palace clinic, the nurse was suprised to see my bruises.

" Oh! My dear child!" She cried out, she helped me sit upright on the bed.

" How can he be this cruel to you? You are only a child for crying out loud! Is this going to be the fate of our children now?" She said, tears rolling her cheeks.

" Don't worry about that granny, we won't have to suffer for so long anymore." Reynold assured.

" There is no solution to our pain my child. I'm forced to work here, he took your father away when I submitted my retirement letter." She explained.

" I'm now really old and weak. I cry everyday, praying that the moon goddess would send us a savoir." She sighed.

" The scares are healing slowly because it consist of some seed of wolf bane in it. I'm sure that this is Dominic doing." She said sadly.

" I will be fine granny, I will heal completely too." I said.

" Have some beef stew my child." Ahe said handing the food over to me. I fest on it hugrily as if my life depended on it and within a blink of an eye I was done.

" Jeez, how long did he keep you there?" She asked curiously.

" Almost a week I guess.."

" Phoebe! Oh fuck! Did he really stab you in the chest? " Keith asked angrily.

" With some wolf bane in the dagger." Granny replied.

" What is it? Haven't he done enough? The pain, the torture, the torment! He should just bomb the whole city down!" He yelled angrily staring at my wound.

" The wounds are healing slowly now, I will be fine." I smiled.

" No you're not! He won't stop until he have achieved everything he wants, he might end up killing you if you aren't careful." He cried out.

" No! He can't kill now, he was saying something about using me as a weapon. I think he have something up his sleeves, he is trying to take over some other packs . I can sense war coming." I said.

" Reynold, suppose to know about this. The special Beta who would do whatever his Alpha wants, I don't know why you still trust this dude." He growled.

" Don't you dare blame me for whatever is going on. I apologize repeatedly to her and you folks but you won't just accept the fact that I'm luckier and better than you. You can die knowing fully well that you are nothing but a loser." Reynold fired.

" How dare you?" Keith asked, scratching him across his face. Reynold got mad, diving against him as he threw him across the table. They kept exchanging fist on themselves.

" You kids need to stop now, the Alpha might interfere in this and it won't be nice." Granny scold.

" Will you both stop acting like a kid. I don't like the way you keep over reacting to issues Keith! And Reynold you are way older than him, you shouldn't fight over minor issues!" I yelled angrily.

" Do you want you Luna to get more I'll because of you two?" Granny asked.

" If you continue acting this way,I'm afraid I will be forced to dig into your heart someday. " Reynold earned.

" And I would be so delighted to see that day, mate. It is going to be the last day you would ever see our Luna." He smirked.

" Ple....." I felt a huge pain in my head, followed by darkness.
