Chapter 23

I got into the vehicle, Dominic gave the driver a sign to move out of the palace wall which we did. He woke up this morning, acting all nice and kind to me. Whenever he does it means he have something up on he sleeve, he suggested we take a tour round the pack. I made an attempt to disagree at first but was later convinced by Reynold and Keith go with him.

" I noticed that it have been quite long you took a proper tour in your pack, don't worry I will help you out." He smirked, pecking me across my cheek.

Reynold sat at the front side seat with the driver, I can feel that he is burning badly right now.

We drove out of the palace, welcome by the beautiful street light my father installed, it was all the same. The beauty of the city, something struck my heart, the number of kids in the street begging for foods. They weren't omegas, they were main wolves.

" Wait, why are these kids here? Pups don't normally beg for food in the streets, they aren't even omegas or rogues, they are wolves with good ranks. Where are there parents? " I asked no one, angrily tapping the driver to stop the car.

" Stop the car, you bitch!" I yelled, the driver stopped the car that instant. I ran towards the children, tears streamed down my cheeks. Is this the kind of legacy Dominic want for.my pack?

" Why are you out here? Where are your parents?" I asked them curiously, carrying a little pup in my arms. She is just a toddler for crying out loud.

" They were punished for going against the Alpha!" They answered in Union

" What do you mean by punished? Don't tell me..."

" The guards killed them, by removing there heart from there chest. It pains me that my little sister had to see it." A girl of eight cried out, pointing at the toddler in my arms.

" How dare he?Dominic!!!!" I yelled walking angrily to the car.

" Yes dear!" He answered, Skilling mischievously at me. I gave him a slap across his face not minding that we were in public.

" How dare you render this children homeless, taking there parents from them? Taking everything they have and leave them wander across the streets? They might be attacked by rogues! They are just children" I cried out.

" How dare you!" He held my neck preventing me from breathing, Reynold took the child from me immediately, handing her over to her sister.

" P...l...e...a.....s....... " I struggled to say. He pushed me, I missed a step by luckily was caught by Reynold.

" Arrgghhhh!" He yelled out of frustration, slapping me across my cheeks. He threw me over the floor, stepping on my tummy. The kids watched me, running towards Dominic holding his leg, as they all plead with him to let me be.

" Awwnnn, cute kids. I see you all haven't learnt your lessons, why don't I teach you all a lesson huh?" He said pushing them off his leg.

" Do you think she can protect you huh? Your parents who loved you all deeply couldn't even protect you why do you think she would risk her life for little pumps like you all huh? She is so weak and fragile and is also a baby." He yelled.

" She is not a baby!" He three years old said, matching Dominic on his toe and then running off. I couldn't help but chuckle in the scene, the pain returned back to my tummy.

" Run, along kids before I change my mind." He ordered but the kids kept staring at me.

" Don't worry babies, I promise I would be fine okay. Don't kind bad uncle, here have some money." I said handing over three HUNDREND dollars to them. It would be able to feed them for a while.

" Get into the car bitch! " He ordered, helping me into the car.

After a long hour of driver, I finally decided to open up.

" Why the kids? They did nothing wrong to deserve all this ill treatment." I said, as tears streamed down my cheeks.

" That's because, there parents went against my rules. They were finding it difficult to accept that I was there new leader." He simply answered.

The rest of the drive was silent, we arrived at the palace. I took my bag, hurriedly leaving the vehicle but Dominic grabbed my hand, slapping me hard on my face. I held my heel staring at him in shock.

" How dare you embarass me in frontbof those pisty kids huh? How dare you speak against my decision. I think it's best if I kill you right now." He said, pulling my hair backwards.

" I curse you! Those kids did nothing wrong to deserve it! Imagine this punishment, tying you up on that pole over there and instructing all the palace guard to rape you to death!" He yelled, I shocked my head in disagreement. He can't do that to me, I won't even be able to survive the memory. I might even end up commiting sucide.

" Don't you ever cross my path again, or else it would be your very last." He said pushing me to the ground before walking away.

Reynold ran towards me helping me up, he took me to my chambers.

" You shouldn't have said a word.," He sighed.

" Don't tell me you support his acts. I want to ask you a question Reynold, were you among those who killed those innocent kids parents?" I asked curiously. He should know more about it since he always follows Dominic orders.

" We shouldn't discuss about that Luna!" He said, trying to sound convicing.

" I just asked a question, I don't care about anything right now except an answer." I barked.

" You want an answer huh? I was the one who ordered the killing of there parents, I was only following Dominic's order and if I didn't do it, he would have killed me in exchange of there life." He said, I stared at him in shock.
