Chapter 21: Hope

Kyra woke up anew, at least that's how she felt, she felt like she was in safe hands all through out the night, the sadness and void she felt the night before were almost faded away. Maybe dreaming about Conri did that. She has truly missed him, maybe now she should get loosen up and stop being stubborn, they were back where she though they would never go, their home. She might as well shake things up a little and stop punishing the guy.
She stood up to stretch, today is a new day, a new beginning, she thought. She looked to see if he had been there or had gone out, there was no way of knowing. She took a jacket, wrapped it around her body and made her way to his own room.

“ Kiran, I don't want him there, he is just going to scatter the whole place, I want this ceremony to go as planned, yes, I know that not everybody will be happy seeing her today, yes and I know that I do not really care about that, if they are not happy about it, then they should not come “ Conri spoke into the phone, he looked really worried about all the things that were coming up about him being mated with Kyra. He knows Dante was the greatest enemy and whoever decides to be an enemy with him too would be a supporter of Dante.
“We are still going to go on about it, and then to top it up, I am going to invite everyone to the after party, let everyone Merry. Let them fake it if they have to. I don't give a shit “ He was furious, but then he realized Kyra was in the next room, she might be awake and listening to his outburst.
“ Kiran, get everything ready, I still have some convincing to do myself, The ceremony should be as short as possible, I would not want her to feel uncomfortable. Yeah, get it done. Tell the council members to be there before me, I will not tolerate lateless, I am not suppose to wait for anyone. . . Yes including Dante too. . . Yes let me know when everything is ready “ He ended the call just in time to hear the door to his room, she was knocking. It was surprising but it had to be her.
“ Hey good morning “ She said looking up at him, he has seen her like this before, early in the morning and it still felt that he was sewing her doe the first time in a long time .
“ You look beautiful “
She continues to look at him, her head arched to one side “ Yes I mean that, I have always wanted to tell you that without thinking about the reply or the action I'm going to get from you “ he said, answering her silent question.
“ Today is the day “ she said.
“ Yes, are you ready? “ She was not ready.
“ Yes, I am. The earlier we get this over with the better “ she sounded unconcerned.
“ To be honest, when I heard you knocking I thought you have somehow managed to forgive me and you were here to tell me that. But the tone of your voice tells me something different. Pardon me for saying this, But it is long overdue honey. I want the love back, I want you to hold me in helpless abandon. I want you to submit your whole body to me once again. I want you to tell me how much you love me, how much you want me without feeling weird about it. I want you back “
With every word he said he moved an inch closer to her, she didn't move back so that meant she was running away this time. When he finally reach her, he cupped her face his his hands like he always used to do, to make her look into his eyes. He had said he did it because he wanted her to see down into his soul.
It brought out plenty memories, she leaned at him, she could feel the excitement of her wolf about the whole situation. But she wanted to not just give in.
“ If I do forgive you, you are just going to break my heart all over again, and to be honest I can not handle that “ She said, not still moving away from him, as if she still needs more convincing.
“ I won't, I promise you that “ He said, silently pleading.
“ You don't get it, do you Conri? I'm losing either way, I can not even hate you as much as I want to, and it is ruining me, I want to stop thinking about you, I want to stop thinking there is a future with us, I want to stop thinking that you love me too, but I don't even know how to do that, it's killing me.“ She said, tears dropping from her eyes.
He hands moved down to wipe away the tears from both sides of her face.
“ Then don't hate me Kyra, love me. Allow yourself to love me and let me love you back, the way I want to love you, unapologetically. There is a future for us, know this. And the future starts from today. Today you will officially be mine, you will be my Luna, you will the luna of this pack. Your future with me starts right there. You have to trust the process, trust me “ He held her close for the longest time.
And she allowed it, finally, she was slowly letting herself feel.
“ After the ceremony I would like to be with my sisters for a while “ she said, her head still placed on his chest.
“ I am sure you are dying to tell them you have finally made peace with me and we are going in the right direction “ he said laughing above her, he seemed content.
“ Dont get ahead of yourself Conri, we still have a lot of things to be worried about “
“ Like what? I don't think there is anything you need to be worried about anymore my darling, I am with you every step of the way, no one would dare cross you, they can only think it, because once they do, there is no place In the world I would not find and kill them and the remaining of their descendants. They will cease to exist “
That made her smile, because she knows he meant every word .
“ While you are at it, invite them to the after party “
“ There is going to be an after party? I thought you wanted to make this as short as possible “ She said removing herself from the embrace, taking her head away from his chest, he put her head back to where to was once she was done asking her questions.
“ Well yes, that what I wanted but there is something I would like to find out. I want to know where Viktor is in all this “

He didn't reply to that, but there was a little bit of hope there and he planned on using it.
