33.
**Daya**
My laboured breaths permeated the stale, closed-off air as I anxiously paced back and forth through the darkened chamber, continuously tormented by the sole memory of him and that soul-binding kiss...
The feeling of him, his body and his oddly familiar, intoxicating scent...
It truly unnerved me still, rendered uncapable of properly functioning anymore.
So many questions swarmed inside of me...
Why was he making me feel as such? Who was he? Was he telling the truth after all, about my real family?
I anxiously bit my lip as my gaze unwillingly trailed to the large window, entranced by the orange hues setting at the horizon as my mind kept wandering, fleetingly noticing the pure white silhouette in our backyard.
Swiftly approaching the window to have a better look at it, I finally noticed the beautiful creature standing close nearby a tree, the animal's large and dark eyes peering right back at me, beckoning me to just push this glass barrier and distance between us, and make my way straight to her.
Meliae...
My mind whispered, lastly realizing that I knew her. I actually knew this majestic creature!
Sweet Gaia!
My eyes went wide, immediately reaching to open the window and jump since I had done it so many times before without hurting myself when my brother's voice suddenly filled the otherwise silent chamber.
"What are you doing, little sister?"
I effectively and immediately froze, refusing to even breathe as I stood there for a moment, almost crying out in defeat and frustration as I also watched her walk away as if she were frightened.
No...
My fingers slid against the cool glass, escaping a trembling breath as I finally turned around to face Wrath.
"Were you sneaking outside to see your little lover again?" He tilted his head to the side with a sly smirk, crossing his arms over his chest as my eyes went wide at the sound of his question.
"Yes, dear sister. That is right. We were aware of your every little encounter with that scumbag," He deftly answered my unspoken question, making me blink in utter astonishment.
What? How...?
"Did you truly think that I hadn't been aware of your romantic little escapades? That you could just slip away unnoticed?" He asked, his voice becoming a little more menacing as he slowly closed the distance between us with determined steps, effectively scaring me.
"Did you truly believe that I would just let you go fool around with that archangel behind my back?" He took ahold of both my arms, his ember eyes peering into my own as I could only stare at him in utter shock.
What was happening?
"Love," He said with a sweetly hypocritic smile,
"We are your siblings. We are part of you. Everything you feel, we feel as well. We are one. Have you already forgotten that?"
"Every single little touch, every word and every glance," His entire facial expression swiftly morphed into a terrifyingly cruel and dark one, my lips escaping a pained scream as his hands suddenly squeezed so tightly against my thin arms.
"Wrath, please stop!" I begged, blinking away the tears already gathered at the corners of my eyes.
"It was all premeditated," He only continued, ignoring my pleas.
"Ever since the beginning, we knew that you would be weak as such, dumb enough to try and elude us..." He growled as he gazed at me with what could only be described as disgust. Yet I could not even fathom why.
"Oh dear little sister, I am so hurt, to realize that you would betray us so easily..." He feigned hurt, letting go of one of my arms as he placed a hand over his chest.
"But in truth, I am glad that it turned out exactly as we predicted, because now, everything goes according to plan," His features quickly shifted back to that malicious smirk, making me momentarily stare at him in confusion.
Plan? What plan?
"Because of your foolishness, now the soulmate bond between you and that stupid archangel is complete, allowing you to unleash your power at its highest peak," He kept on talking as he suddenly turned and started walking, forcefully dragging me after him.
"And with the archangel power syphoned from his body, combined with yours, we can finally bring this stupid world down, and the heavens as well," He spoke with such ardour as he dragged me through the halls until we have reached the grand stairs, noticing the rest of our siblings standing at the bottom of the staircase as Wrath held me in place for a moment.
"We will be the masters of this universe!" He cried out as if he were preparing for battle, right before throwing me down the stairs as if I were nothing but an old rag.
I screamed in fright as I tumbled down, feeling my body hurt right before a pair of arms caught me.
With tears falling down my face as I couldn't help but feel so scared, so helpless and so confused by everything that was currently happening I rose my sight, meeting Envy's beautiful green eyes.
"Please...s-stop this..." I begged, tightly clutching against his thin shirt.
But he only peered down at me with that cold and emotionless gaze of his before he forcefully hoisted me up to my feet and turned me around, making me face Wrath again as he had already descended the stairs, that frightening ember burning within his eyes as he stalked closer, noticing our other siblings were closing in on me as well, creating a tight and perfect circle around me.
"No..."
"Beast of Sin, come forth!" Wrath's monstruously distorted voice called out, grabbing onto our siblings' hands as they all started chanting in a language I have never heard before.
"No, please stop!" I whimpered as my entire body trembled with fright, slowly starting to feel an odd and downright terrifying feeling creeping up from within me, painfully coiling around my very essence.
"No! Please stop!"
"NOOO!"
