27.

*Lyra females...*

He'd matured learning about their culture, their magnificent existence. He'd listened to glorious tales about their incomparable beauty, their strength and intelligence.

It fascinated him to such extent that he often wondered what it was like, that special connexion that the elders have always praised about.

*And now he finally had it in his possession. Lyra blood.*

Elias peered down at the little earthling resting so close to him in that peculiar way humans seemed to always favor -from what he'd learned about them- her thin arm still wrapped around his neck whilst her face remained buried between his pectorals, creating an odd sensation everytime she breathed against his skin.

He was well aware that it was not physically possible for her to be his destined one since she was just a feeble earth-raised being who happened to inherit illyrian gene.

A one in a million chance.

Yet he did feel it. That certain reaction within his system the moment her blood reached his tongue, altering him at cellular level.

Whoever it belonged to, her ancestor's blood was strong indeed.

*The perfect candidate.*

His senses immediately reacted as she stirred, escaping one of those tiny and high-pitched sounds of hers as her body jolted, effectively surprising him.

Could it be that she had a neurological condition he hadn't previously detected?

He definitely knew all about those wretched diseases humans tended to have, thanks to their filthy habits and generally hostile environment.

They even went as far as creating one themselves so they could purposely decrease their overly-grown population faster and easier.

*Such vile and senseless creatures...*

It did benefit him though, for if it weren't for the humans' utter stupidity and insistence to try and create an alliance with Laxian after so many earthian decades of failed attempts to reach them, he wouldn't have found out about the existence of Lyra gene on Earth, well-preserved and still alive.

"Don't leave me..." The little female mumbled under her breath, her pulse quickening as she trembled and shifted for a few times more, nestling like an earthian cub as her palms moved to rest against his chest, seemingly seeking for some more warmth as she made herself even tinier and slipped her slender leg over his, unintentionally revealing more of her nudeness underneath that thin cloth barely covering her lithe yet voluptous body.

He could not deny that in spite of coming from such a poorly-bred race, her physique was absolutely exquisite.

Indeed a Lyra heiress.

She had the facial features of a faultless deity and a body fit to compete with some of the fairest races throughout the seven galaxies.

"Popsie..." She unintelligibly called out, her throat muscles swelling whilst those agitated sounds made their way through her, her face fastly wetting as her closed eyes started to release those liquid drops called tears.

Tears?

So she could have negative emotions while resting too?

*Such complicated beings these peculiar humans...*

Elias mused as his arms wrapped tighter around her and rolled onto his back so that she could lay over his body, performing simple techniques in the process of diffusing those negative emotions. So he started to gently trace his fingers through her hair whilst his other hand covered her bare back, mildly caressing her soft skin from time to time as he kept measuring that decrease in her pulse and the slow release of serotonin into her system.

**

A strong and steady beat invaded Madeleine's half-stifled hearing, slowly lulling her back to reality.

She blew out a long breath through her nose, languidly stretching out her numb body after such a peaceful and refreshing sleep.

She couldn't even remember the last time she'd slept so well.

*Only in between Emerick's arms.*

A soft and sensual caress touched the bare skin on her thigh, going upwards and over her hip, making her shiver and expell a small sigh of contentment.

"Mmm..." She lightly moaned, suddenly feeling herself thrown over a soft surface before her eyes snapped open and met those midnight galaxy ones.

She fastly breathed, rapidly freezing with utter fear as she widely stared, entirely failing to understand what just happened.

The Alpha's half bare and muscular body hovered above hers, leaning on one arm right next to her shoulder as his other hand moved to touch her leg.

She let out a surprised gasp as soon as their skin made contact, shocked to feel that same pleasurable sensation she felt after he bit her, her thighs quickly closing on instinct as his hand slowly trailed upwards.

"N-no..." She moaned out, lightly squirming in protest underneath him as she absolutely did not want to feel herself wetting again, especially under his touch.

A glint of pure satisfaction reached the Alpha's godly features as he intensely watched her reactions, his gaze mildly clouding with physical lust as well.

"What...did you do to me?" She asked with a trembling breath, fastly scooting backwards as soon as he took his hand off of her and sat upright over the bed.

"I've already told you. I created a connexion," He criptically answered with the ghost of a triumphant smile, making her want to simply punch him in that perfect face of his as she was already sick of that same senseless answer.

"What the fuck is that supposed to even mean?" She angrily shouted back with utter exasperation before she could even try and stop herself.

However, the Alpha's expression remained unchanged as he calmly answered her,

"It means that you are now bound to me too, the same way you are bound to that BloodHound you keep crying over,"

What? What the f-

"His name is Emerick!" She suddenly found herself shouting at him with all her might, raising herself a little bit higher in her spot.

"He is not a fucking animal! His name is Emerick Corden and he is a better...being that you will ever be!"

She harshly breathed after that sudden and unexpected outburst, her thightly closed fists mildly trembling at her sides as she watched him remain so weirdly calm, even after all that.

*Fucking robot.*

"I thought humans usually spent time getting to know each other before forming opinions,"

She suddenly heard him say as soon as her gaze lowered, feeling the bed shift before noticing him move to climb off of the bed.

"Apparently not,"

"Is he not the very same BloodHound that had taken you against your will after he had captured you?" He commented just as he'd picked up his shirt from the floor and thrown it over his broad back, succeeding to anger her even harder this time.

"Yeah, because YOU ordered him to!?!"

He abruptly paused upon hearing that, throwing her a weirdly curious look.

"I do not recall ever giving such orders on Earth. And I can assure you that I do not have such thing as a faulty memory. It simply does not exist in laxian DNA," He simply answered back, making her falter and dumbly stare at him in utter astonishment as she most certainly did not expect to ever receive such reply from him.

*What...B-but how...*

"I did find it odd that those two human doctors kept telling me how they've repeatedly tried to impregnate you.

I will further investigate into the matter if it pleases you," He continued to speak as she continued to stupidly stare up at him, only breaking out of her stupor the moment he approached to kneel over the bed and take ahold of her arm, earning himself another squeal from her as he slipped an arm under her legs and hoisted her up in his embrace as if she weighted nothing, coaxing her to wrap her arm around the back of his neck before turning straight towards the first door.

"Wait-where are we going?!?" She anxiously cried out as she obviously still did not trust him.

For all she knew he could've still been just a manipulative liar!

"I can sense your distress. You are in dire need of social contact. It will help you create an emotional connexion to the palace," He fastly explained as he started walking and exited the room, navigating through salons and corridors faster than her eye-power to follow the movement.

"Can't you at least let me walk? I have legs too you know!" She tried to reason with him whilst staring up at his generally calm and composed features with mild disbelief.

She was getting so fed up already of all this carrying around as if she were a tiny and helpless babe. She was a grown-up woman for crying out loud and she wasn’t physically incapacitated either!

"Positively not," He flatly answered without throwing her a single glance -or batting an eye, for that matter- making her blow out a sigh and just give up, quietly laying in his arms for the rest of the ride.
