Chapter 16

Sia's POV



The intercom on my desk rang and I came back to the present day with a jolt.

It was a call from Yash, the assistant designer, to tell me that one of my file got mixed with his. I said that I will come and return it but he said that he was coming this way so he would bring it. I wiped my tears and composed my self.

He came within 5 minutes holding my file in his hand.

" Ma'am, here is your file. " he said.

" Thanks a lot Yash ji, I had to work on it. "

" No problem, I had to work on my file too. We both would have had a problem otherwise. We would have wasted one day ma'am... "

" Yeah !! You are right and please call me Sia . "

" Ok, but only if you call me just Yash."

" Fair enough.... "

" So now that we are on the first name basis, can we say that we are friends ? "

" Errr... Ok... You may say so. " I said hesitantly.

" What is going on?? Are the office hours over already?? Yash, I think I told you to work on the new designs. So what are you doing here? " I heard an angry voice... It was

Mr Kapoor.

" Err... Sir... My file got mixed with Sia's and... So... I came to..." Yash was stammering because of his angry tone.

" And then you thought that it was the perfect opportunity to leave your work and come here to personally deliver the file. Right? "

" Sir... I... it's not like ...."

" Just shut up and go back to your department... I want to see your new designs first thing in the morning. Go now..."

" Y-yes sir. " he went away almost running as Mr Annoying Kapoor looked really angry.

" Sir, Yash was just... "

" Oh, Yash... He was calling you Sia too. So already calling each other by first name?Interesting. By the way just for my information, what happened to a certain someone who preferred being formal in the office??" His voice was dripping with sarcasm.

" What?? "

" Nothing, get on with your work. You are here to work, not fool around." He said looking at the window.

" What?? I was not fooling around. "

" Yeah, you were working with dedication just a few minutes back. " He said and went off without listening anything.

What the hell? What's wrong with him????



Rohit's POV



What was happening to me, someone was making me restless? I was thinking about her the whole night. That feisty girl has been invading my thoughts, my dreams and it seems that my life as well.

I reached my office and on the way to my cabin, I saw Sia sitting on her chair, thinking about something. She was smiling and I couldn't walk away. I kept standing there and kept looking at her. But I had to move before she threw anything at me.

I went to my cabin and started working. I got a call from my dad. I was still talking to him when she peeked inside my cabin to seek permission to enter. I nodded and she came in.

Once I finished the call I gave instructions to Julie and she left. I talked to her and told her about what we were supposed to do the whole day.

I even told her to call me Rohit. But she said she preferred being formal. Then she went to get her stuff. I also picked my phone and walked towards the door of my cabin and turned the knob to open the door and all of a sudden I saw her loosing her balance and falling. I caught her well in time.

I was shocked but somehow felt very good to have her in my arms . Her head bumped on my shoulder. One of her hands was on my arm and another one on my chest just above my heart. I am sure she could feel my increased heartbeat.

Her hand on my chest was driving me crazy. I literally felt sparks between our bodies.

Her body was pressed against me. The things she was holding earlier in her hands were flying in air and landed on us and her phone landed between our bodies.

She was also very shocked. I was enjoying the moment looking into her eyes, when her phone beeped and she came to realise that she was in my arms. She looked embarrassed and tried to get out of my arms. Damn that phone...

She pushed on my chest and I let her go.

She was so confused that she said thanks and sorry at the same time. I enjoyed every minute of being with her. Then we went to Kabir uncle's office and took the materials and had lunch with him and then we went to purchase the accessories.

She said what she thought were better. We placed the order and waited when someone called her. She turned and her face lost her smile.

I turned to see a woman and a girl coming towards us. Who were they??? Sia excused herself and went in their direction.

I did not want to go after her but was curious as hell, all of a sudden she looked upset after looking at those women.

I heard what that woman said to her. I wanted to intervene but thought that it was better If I don't.

Sia answered back smartly and respectfully, though it was clear that she doesn't like her much. Then that younger woman said something that made her really upset. Something changed and she looked sad. The look on her face made me curious what was she thinking about. It seemed that what ever it was, gave her pain and grief but she retorted some smart answers.

But my mind was stuck at the thing she said that Sia had a crush on someone and he preferred this cousin of Sia.

I wanted to go and remove that crease line on her forehead and wanted to kiss on it. But I knew that she would get annoyed. As it is she is always angry with me and somehow I had this feeling that she would not like it.

I wanted to go and take her in my arms but I controlled my urge to do so.

Sia said that she was too busy to have that silly conversation with her cousin and turned to go where we originally were.

I also went there after 5 minutes. After we finished our work here. I asked if she wanted to have coffee and she nodded. It seemed that she was having a headache as she delicately pressed her forehead.

We went to have coffee and I felt as if she was avoiding looking at me. If I was not wrong then she was upset with what happened and was trying to avoid looking at me so that I could not see that she was hurt.

I started talking about our deal and work and she became normal and smiled. She was just so beautiful...

That guy must have been an idiot or blind, if he chose that girl Ruchi over Sia. I hated him because she had a crush on him.

But Thank God !! He was foolish enough to lose that opportunity to have her in his life.

Anyways... his loss. I will have her in my life. We came back to office as there were still 2 hours for the office time to get over. I got busy with my work.

I heard some voices and one of them seemed to be of Sia. I was curious and went out to see her.

It was Yash that assistant designer who accompanied us. He was smiling at her and she looked a bit hesitant and then nodded and smiled.

I was irritated to the hell. What was he doing here. I scolded him and he started explaining but I got even more angry when they called each other with their first names. Today itself, I told her to call me Rohit but she refused saying that she preferred being formal. Now she was calling him Yash and was giving explanations for him.

I got annoyed with her too and scolded her that she was here to work and not to fool around. I didn't mean to say that, but I was angry. I left immediately after saying that. I knew I behaved like a jerk but could not control myself.
