Sia's POV



" Thank you, Mr Kapoor and Sumit beta for standing up for my daughter. My daughter, Sia is my pride... We have given her the best of values. I believe in her. She faced a lot... I don't think we should stay here any more. " Dad said biting every word.

" Uncle please stay. I apologise on behalf of my cousin." Sumit Ji said.

" No beta... Please don't do that. I really thank you for your support. But it is not just about what he did or said. Please try and understand.. God bless you. " My dad patted him on the back and smiled at him.

He started walking and chachu tried to stop dad.

" Bhai sahib please don't go like this ... Please at least think... "

" Hmm? ... Yeah ok... Thanks, beta. " My dad nodded mainly because he didn't want to stay there for another minute.

Rohit opened the front passenger door for my dad to sit and opened back door for my mom. I opened another door and sit just behind the driving seat. He started the car and looked in the mirror to see if I was ok. He was still very angry but as soon as he saw me in the mirror his expression softened.

I just tried to give him a faint smile to assure him that I was fine. He nodded and started the car and drove towards our home. My dad took out his phone and called bhaiya.

" Sujoy... Beta we all are going home, just get the sweets and deliver them at the venue and come directly back to home. "

" We are fine... Just do what I said. No need to go inside.. come back as soon as you give away the sweets. "

" Nothing happened... Ok, will tell you once you come back. "

"Mr Kapoor is taking us home. " Dad said and disconnected the call.

" Sir, please call me Rohit. I am almost as old as your son. "

" Thanks, Rohit beta... I am so glad that you were there and you trusted Sia. "

" Please don't thank me ... It was my duty. Uncle that guy misbehaved with Sia earlier too. We had gone to market to get some stuff and we ordered them but the vendor said that we would have to wait for some time for our order to get packed. So we went to the coffee house in front of that shop. He was there and he misbehaved with Sia. I punched him that day too. He is mentally sick. "

" Oh god!!!... Sia why did you not tell me or Sujoy?? " dad asked me with concern. I was sobbing.

" It's ok uncle... She must have thought that the matter was solved as I had punched him really hard. His nose had started to bleed. " Rohit said sweetly.

We reached home and my dad invited him inside but he declined politely,

" Some other time uncle.. please you all go and take rest... And don't take the stress. "

" Thank you so much beta... " Mom said to him.

" Kya aunty... Beta bhi kahti hain aur thanks bhi kah rahi hain?? ( Oh Please don't say thanks.. I am just like your son ) " Rohit said with a smile and my mom smiled lovingly at him.

Dad and mom asked him to come home some other day if he was busy today. He said that he would definitely come. My parents went inside.

I was standing in front of him he was looking at me with so much tenderness that I was about to cry.

" Thanks a lot for being there with me. " I said and a tear escaped my eyes. He wiped it with his thumb.

" Shut up... Ok?? " he said with so much love and concern...

" Ok... "

" Are you alright?? "

" Hmm, I was scared when he raised his hand to hit me," I said.

" I saw red when he raised his hand... I swear I could have broken his hand permanently. " He said clenching his fist.

" I am a bit scared .. what would have happened if you were not there... "

" I won't let him or anyone hurt you," he said with so much love and conviction that I just wanted to hug him.

" Take care...." He held my hand in his and caressed it with his thumb. I just felt that he wanted to say more than that. But he just gazed lovingly and said bye to me.

" Bye. " I said and he went away.

I went inside and tears started flowing from my eyes. My mom and dad hugged me tightly.

" I am sorry beta ... So many things happened today..... "

" No dad it's not your fault. .. "

" Dad !! Mom !! Sia!! " Bhai was calling. He was home and was looking for us.

He came to my room and saw all of us.

" Why did you all come back?? " Bhai was shocked to see me in tears. Mom also had tears in her eyes and dad was sad and angry.

" What happened ?? " He came to me and shook me. I didn't know how to say all that. So I shook my head.

" Then why did you all came back while the function is still going on..? You didn't even wait for me to come?? Why are you crying like this??" He was also getting angry, he looking at mom and dad.

" It's ok... Sujoy... Let it be .. " dad said to him.

" No. dad... I know you, dad, you would not have come back if it was not a big issue. You told me not to go inside and just give the sweets and come back... Why dad?? What happened there?? "

Dad told him everything. He hugged me hard. I was still crying. He started shaking with rage. I could feel it so I tighten my arms around his torso. His eyes softened a bit and he cupped my face and said, " I am sorry, I was not there to help you when you needed me the most. I will kill that bastard ... How dare he say that and touch you? "

" Calm down Sujoy.... he has already been beaten twice. "

We all tried to eat a bit of food, as everyone ate to show that they were normal. I came back to my room to sleep. But my eyes were deprived of them. I kept thinking about the events of the day and how Rohit protected me and stood by me. He even scolded Chachi for her behaviour. I was thankful to Sumit Ji as well.
