Chapter 22

Sia's POV



He told me about his project with lots of excitement. He even included my designs in that. He said he showed the pictures to his dad and he liked them too.

He said he wants to be as good as his elder brother. Rahul Ji was his mentor and he wanted to make his brother feel proud of him.

He told me his plan of action and how he was going to make this project very successful.

We talked and laughed for hours. He was a very nice person...I liked him a lot but was a bit tensed. What if I fall for him and he was just flirting.

The betrayal of my love interest in my past had broken me into pieces.

But this tall and handsome man was making me feel things for him. I had made a thick wall around me as far as men were concerned. I stopped trusting them.

But he was crashing all the walls around me to make a path towards my heart.

I could feel my heartbeats increased, whenever he used to come near me. My heart stopped for a few second when he said that he liked me and wanted me to accept him as my boyfriend.

I swear I felt good from within but my mind was adamant about not going on the same road again which caused me pain in the past.

Oh God!!! Please tell me what to do...

Rohit's POV



I came to the office early today... It has been almost one week since we got the contract. Everyone was working hard to give their best.

Sumit, Yash, Sooraj, Julie and Sia all were given their responsibilities and they all were working to their fullest capacities and get out the best of work from the workers.

We had started to work on many fronts and everything was going smoothly.

Bhai and Priya would be back here in 5 days. I was really happy but wanted to get most of the work done before he comes back as a surprise for him.

Everyone was working till late. I was going to offer Sia, to drop her home after the work was over. But she came instead, to ask me, " Actually, my mom called up to come home immediately. I need to go home. Can I please go? I have to go somewhere with mom. "

" Where? "

" For shopping... Mom needs to get a few things. It is urgent. "

" Ok... You may. " I said and she turned and went home after collecting her things.

I was a bit upset as she had gone so I immersed myself in my work. After half an hour, I was still working, when there was a knock on the door. I asked the person to come in.

It was Sumit, he came and stood in front of me. I could see that he wanted to say something but maybe he was finding the right words for that.

" Yes, Sumit?? "

" Sir, I wanted to tell you that I would not be able to come to the office tomorrow. "

" Why ?? What is that Sumit?? You know that this project is so important... " He nodded but it seemed that he still wanted to have that leave.

" What is the problem?? Why can't you come tomorrow??" I asked and he gave me a somewhat shy smile.

" Sir, I understand but actually, I am getting engaged tomorrow... So.. you know, I will not be able to get away with all the relatives. "

" What ?? Wow, Congratulations !!

Of course, you can take a leave tomorrow... "

" Sir I wanted to invite you too. Please, sir, don't deny. I would be happy if you will be there. "

" Ok sure ... " I smiled and he thanked me and went away.. "

I was still thinking about all that when I got a message from Sia.

" Hi, I am sorry, I will not be able to come tomorrow as I have to attend a family function. I can't avoid it. Thanks bye... Have lots of things to do."

I was a bit disappointed after reading that.. she would not come tomorrow.



Sia's POV



I had to come home early as my mom insisted that we had to go to the market to get some gifts for Ruchi's engagement on the next day and get a new dress for me. I had many dresses which I had not worn even once but mom didn't listen to me. She wanted me to buy a new dress for Ruchi's engagement.

We bought a nice dress and some gifts for Ruchi.

I was a bit sad that I would not be able to meet him the next day... I was already missing him.

But why ??? He is so annoying and arrogant na!!! My inner voice said teasingly.

I got ready and we all went for the engagement. We went to meet Ruchi in the room. She was looking very pretty. I complimented her but she just gave me a faint smile.

" Even you are looking presentable today... It seems bhabhi Ji paid some heed to what I said. It is good... there would be many young boys here, who would be heartbroken as they could not get married to my Ruchi. Someone might like you. " Chachi Ji taunted with a smirk.

" They may or may not like me Chachi Ji, but I am not interested in them. " I said and my mom shook her head discouraging me to say anything. Chachi Ji glared at me.

I went to look for my brother. He was talking to some of our other cousins. I just joined them.

Sumit Ji came after some time with his family and friends. My chachu and brother welcomed them. I knew that he was getting married to my cousin but I didn't tell him.

I went to congratulate him as well. He was surprised to see me.

" Congratulations Sumit Ji... " I said. My Chachi glared at me.

" Oh Sia Ji, I am so glad to see you here.. " he said.

" Of course, I had to be here, Ruchi is my cousin... "

" Great !! So you are going to be my sister-in-law now.." He said with a smile.

" I guess so. " I said with a smile and he also chuckled at that.

Chachi was glaring at me continuously. But I didn't know why??

We were still talking when Ruchi came there with Chachi Ji. Sumit Ji was looking at her with so much love.

He was ogling at her.

They exchanged the rings and got engaged. I went to stand with my bhai as I was getting somewhat uncomfortable with the ladies asking mom, when would I get married. What was their problem??



Rohit's POV



I was in office and was trying to work but my mind was distracted. My feisty warrior was not there and I was missing her a lot. Sumit was also not there... So Yash was supervising the work.

I was getting very bored so I decided to go to Sumit's engagement.

I reached there and looked for Sumit. It was not difficult to find him. He was sitting on the stage with his fiance. I went there to congratulated the couple.

" Congratulations !! Sumit. Congratulations to you too. " I said to both of them.

" Oh, God!! Thank you so much, sir, I am glad you could make it. I am very happy. " Sumit was very happy to see me. He introduced me to his would-be wife... She looked somewhat familiar to me... But I could not recall where I saw her earlier.

" Ruchi he is Mr Rohit Kapoor, my boss. And sir this is my fiance Ruchi."

I smiled at her. She gave me a very wide smile.

I was still talking to him when I saw Sia at the party.

Did I saw her ?? .... or I was going insane. I closed my eyes and opened them again. I was not sure as I had started seeing her everywhere nowadays.

She was talking to a tall, dark, handsome man. They looked very comfortable around each other.

Was she my Sia?? She could not be.

I started going in their direction to see if she was my imagination.
