Chapter One Hundred and Nine

“I’m a little afraid of what that means.” Bram said, looking around. He wasn’t pleased with the answer.

“Do you trust Iz?” Eudom’s head kicked to the side.

Bram frowned, “Of course I do.”

A square in the floor fell away and stairs appeared. Izabella was smiling up at him. “I really hope what I did was okay. But I thought it would make everything easier for us. Come, I’ve been waiting for you.” She held her hand out for him and his fingers curled in hers. He couldn’t help but smile as all the children crowded around her.

Bram chuckled as he was lead down the stairs. “The attic is going to be for Eudom, for the most part. I thought it would be nice to have a creepy built-in babysitter if we ever need one. Just in case one of our children who others can’t handle, get a little unruly.” She giggled. “When Jen woke up, she went after the kids. He had to bring her to the shadow room because she couldn’t calm down. I’m not sure what we’re going to do with her.”

“Daddy! Come see our room first!” The three little monkeys, Missy, Mable, and Alex, each grabbed his spare hand, pulling him the opposite way. “It had monkeys already!” And it did. One entire wall was painted with vines and swinging cartoon monkeys. Plush green vines curled around the room, clinging to the bed, light fixtures, anything that it could. Little monkey also hung all over the room.

“We’ll need one more bed, eventually, but Missy and Mable agreed to share the lower bunk, so they’re all going to stay in the same room for now. I didn’t see that as a problem. Gabe and Devon both have selected their own rooms. Jen has her own too, but I don’t know if she’ll be able to stay with us. We can’t have her trying to eat the other kids or Gabe. Rose and Sarah also picked a room together. It was already painted pink with princess stuff in it, and they both got excited. And then there are spare rooms the kids can move into as they get older and want to. I figured, there’s a nice little space for guests that has their own bathroom, a living room separate from the rest of the house, and two rooms that connect to it. Tyler’s been in that area, I thought it would be nice to have some place Tyler and Gavin can come stay at if they need or want to.”

“Iz, babe, what is all this?”

“Um… I might have bought a house.” She bit her lip, turning to look up at him. “When I got back, we didn’t have anywhere to go, and I still had access to my computer. I started reading the emails your realtor friend was sending and I just fell in love with this place. So, I called him and he said he could make it like a safe house for us since we made an offer and it was never listed on any sites as a for-sale-home. We paid extra for them to leave the house furnished, that way I didn’t have to run around with my head cut off like a crazy chicken. Oh! And it has a river!”

“Really? Like in the back yard?” He chuckled, knowing that wasn’t what she meant.

“No, it goes through the entrance hall. It’s the coolest thing. The people who lived here had it set up like a jungle down there, and I love it! Oh, there’s also a library. And let’s be honest, the kitchen is so large, it feels like it will need a staff to keep it moving.”

“Well, you have my wallet, so you can hire a staff if you want to.”

“Oh, that’s something we need to talk about. Buying this place was a bit problematic. They took the money you transferred to me, but he refused to take your account information because I’m not on it. He did assume you would make it right, and worked this all out for us anyway. So, he deserves a nice card and maybe a little gift, but I couldn’t touch your account.” Bram’s hand went around her waist, and he rubbed her side, pulling her close.

“We’ll get Gavin to take care of that for us. He’ll get you added to everything easily enough. I do think we need to get married, technically. That way you can be added in every way and if anything happens to me, I want it all in yours and Tyler’s names so that everyone knows what is theirs. Tyler has been my Estate manager for a long time, I thought I should just leave him there. Does that bother you?”

“Should it?” She looked up, stopping in the center of the hall she was walking him down.

“He would have say over my businesses and money.” Bram looked down at her, unsure what that pinched expression meant.

“I don’t really know much about money, and nothing about business, so I shouldn’t have it anyway. As long as the kids are taken care of, at least meagerly to the point where we can make it without too much struggle--”

Bram kicked his head back, laughing. “Meager? The kids will be taken care of. So will you. But Tyler already knows how I want it all to be distributed and what to do.” Bram raised his arm, and Gavin stepped forward.

Putting his hand on her arm, he smiled. "Are you asking me if Tyler can take care of things if something happens to you?” She looked up at Bram, who nodded, then over at Gavin, who was smiling ear to ear. That was unusual for him. “Please. I’ll be a mess.” She agreed. “Maybe we can go over it a time or two though, just so I know, but I have no problem with you giving that burden to Tyler. He’ll be better suited for it. I’m going to have my hands full. This is all just introspective anyway, right? I need you here.”

Bram chuckled. “Yes. I’m planning on being here.”

“We’ll take care of you and the kids if anything were to happen to Bram. But it’s good to be prepared too.” Gavin chimed in. “We will be the ones choosing where the money goes, ultimately.”

“You can have it.” She waved her hand. “I don’t want to have to worry about that. If we can send my children to collage and make sure they don’t want for anything,” she paused looking between Bram and Gavin, “I’ll be happy.”

“It doesn’t take much.” Bram looked down at her, touching her chin and making her look up at her. “You’ll have everything you need. That I don’t doubt for a moment.” His eyes met Gavin’s and he nodded.

“Of course. I’ll take care of it.” Gavin nodded. “Izabella, could you point me in the direction of where Tyler’s staying?”

She did, and soon Gavin said his goodnights, going off to look for his lover. Izabella finished up showing him around the rest of the house. Devon was the last to show his dad his room. “I only took this one because everyone else wanted the other rooms. Mom said that we’ll get the things from our other house later. I liked the bed the most. It’s more like a grown up’s up bed than mine at the appartement.”

“It is.” Bram nodded. The guy who lived in this room had clearly gone off to college and was only here intermittently. “I haven’t seen Gabe, how’s he doing?”

“When Jen woke up and wasn’t her usual self, he went to his room. I really don’t think he likes being separated from her and that we should talk about what to do with them.” Iz looked up at him, holding him close to her side.

“Gavin half mentioned, while we were in Paris, that he and Tyler may be able to take the two of them in. They wouldn’t do great with humans, since Gavin is a full blood, and children running wild on him would be difficult, but they will likely be able to help with Jen and Gabe. It will be safer than having them here with the other children. But I didn’t want to bombard them with questions right now. I think the two of them need a bit of time to talk first. But I’m hoping Gavin will still bring it to his attention.”

“It would be great if they could stay with them. With the two of them staying with Gavin and Tyler, we would know they’re in good hands and still being taken care of.” Izabella looked up as Bram followed her through the house. “Was this all okay? I was a little worried you would be upset.”

“I’m not upset.” Bram smiled down at her. “This is perfect. I like having you step up and do this kind of stuff. It’s nice to come home and know that I don’t have to worry about where we’re going to be sleeping. I’m really glad that you took the initiative to find a home where the kids could be comfortable.”

“Good. Now, there was a reason I gave Gabe the main bedroom.” Izabella smiled, dragging him to the last room they needed to see. “This was their oldest daughter’s room. And I really just wanted to enjoy it.”

As she opened the door, Bram couldn’t help but smile. “I take it she liked vampire novels?” The room was black and white for the most part, with very red accents.

“She definitely had a theme.” Izabella laughed.

“You bought the house because of this room, and it fit everyone. Didn’t you?” Bram asked, his fists landing on his waist.

“Maybe?” She said, fanning her cheeks which were as red as tomatoes.

“You’re starting to match the accessories love.” He laughed. Putting his finger under her chin and lifting it up. “That’s not a complaint.” He held her close. “I love that you want me to be comfortable. I am happier when I can see color.” He pulled her close, kissing her deeply.

Izabella couldn’t hide her shame, “It’s okay?”

“More than okay.” He loved her so much. The room was very classic in its look. Real wood was used in the shelving across the wall. The curtains, pillows and blankets in the room were all red, as were many other things. The lights in the walls. The chair across the way. The quilt on the bed. When she stepped into him, Bram could barely contain himself. He pulled her against his rock-hard body. “Thank you. Thank you, for everything.” His lips suckled on her neck, lifting her up until their hips met.

As he held her up over the bed, she tried to get his belt off. She giggled as he dropped her on the bed, stepping away to strip quickly. “Every single time you get undressed in front of me, I can’t believe how lucky I am that you’re mine.”

“I love being yours.” She wiggled, wrapping her legs around his waist. “I’m going to have to set up a special room just for us.” He growled as her fingers found him, and she held him at her entrance. Bram flicked her clit gently and rhythmically at first, but as he started to move his fingers more quickly, her hand tightened around his cock as her body rocked back and forth under him.
