Chapter One-hundred and Thirteen

Gavin was laying on their bed when Tyler made his way down to their rooms. Arms folded under his head, sitting in the dark. The curtains were all drawn, the lights were off. Gavin laying around doing nothing was odd. He always had something to do. Work. Emails. Make this call or tell that person off. He was always moving. A hundred things on his list of to-do’s. Yet, there he was. Still as death lying on their bed staring at the ceiling.

Tyler laid out sideways, trying to bounce Gavin out of his reflections. Letting his elbow land between Gavin’s knees as he lay over him. “A penny for your thoughts?”

Gavin frowned. He hadn’t even bothered to look over at Tyler and it made his heart tighten in his chest. “You know. No point in stating the obvious.”

“Gavin. Love, please don’t pull away from me. We should be happy that we both survived that stupid plan Mihaela had. We should be celebrating.” His hand rubbed Gavin’s thigh, working up the side of his waist as his finger dipped into Gavin’s pants. “You know that I would never go back to Bram. I’m so much happier with you. What can I do to prove that to you?”

“Stop looking at him like he’s some gift store item you want desperately and will never be able to afford? That would be a good start. It would be nice to not worry about some asshole coming for you because they think you’re the only thing he cares about. The entire vampire world sees you as his. I don’t care that I knew this. I’m just jealous. You’re in love with someone else. I can understand it. It doesn’t mean I have to like it.” Gavin said, pulling Tyler’s hand away from him. “I saw the way you looked at him when the mention of mates came up. You’re still stuck on him.”

“It’s only been a bit of time since we found each other. I need time to transition.” Tyler said, crawling up the bed so that he was laying beside Gavin. His head resting in his palm as he looked down. His fingers traced Gavin’s jaw which tightened at his touch. Tyler frowned, hating that Gavin was so irritated. “I was his property for a long time. I adored him for it. I’m so much happier with you, though. Can’t you just let me love you?”

“You still plan on going with Jen?” He asked, slapping away Tyler’s hand and moving over on the bed to put some space between them.

“Hopefully we’ll have Gabe too.” He let his hand fall to the bed.

Gavin shook his head. “I hope he says no. Gabe has so many other opportunities. Better than being stuck like this. Like us.” He shrugged. Looking annoyed as Tyler pulled him close, kissing the curve of his shoulders.

“He’ll make his own choice. We’ll do whatever they need us to. You’re okay with that, right?”

“It’s not the children who bother me.” Gavin said, stuffing his hand in Tyler’s face as he tried to pull away again. Tyler caught his fingers in his mouth holding fast to his lover. “Come on, stop. I’m not in the mood.” Tyler’s hand moved to rub Gavin’s cock, it was already hard and throbbing beneath his pants.

“Your body says otherwise.” Tyler moved over Gavin, pinning him to the bed. “You can say the word, and I’ll stop.” He looked down, slowly pressing between his knees, forcing them apart.

Gavin turned his head away, blushing as he eyed where Tyler had his wrists pinned in the pillows. “Come on, stop, Tyler.”

“Stop doesn’t mean stop in here.” Reaching over the side of the bed, he pulled out a tie he had found elsewhere in the house, leaning forward, he bound Gavin’s arms to a post on the headboard. Gavin’s body jerked under him, throwing Tyler off balance a bit. Honestly, Gavin could break away from his bonds with a simple pull of his arms. He had the ability to fling Tyler across the room, as he could overpower him. He could even simply say their safe-word, and he would have stopped instantly. But Gavin did none of these things. “But some angry sex might make you feel better.” His hands roamed over Gavin. To his favorite spots. Behind his ear, over the crook of his neck, and along the dip of his collarbone.

He slowly moved down Gavin’s body. His lover was swearing and storming at him, but there was no denying the excitement in his eyes as Tyler pulled his shirt up over his chest, pressing the cotton into his mouth, gaging him. The stormy words soon turned to complaintive grunts, but as Tyler played with his nipples and slowly descended, the grunts started to turn into moans. “I knew you’d like this.” He said, pulling Gavin’s belt out of the loops with a flourish as he threw it across the room, standing to rip his pants off. As the socks followed, his fingers grazed the bottoms of Gavin’s feet which pulled away from him.

When Gavin kicked out at him, pulling at the ropes and twisting on the bed, Tyler crawled up and over him, forcing him back down on the bed. He pulled the gag out of Gavin’s mouth, just wanting to be sure. “Something to say?”

Gavin was breathing hard, his hazel eyes cold as steel as he looked up him. “Kiss me.” The words were filled with dark promise. Tyler leaned down, giving him a deep, hard kiss. It wasn’t a huge surprise when Gavin bit his lip, suckling his between his teeth. He’d always loved being able to drink from Tyler, even if it was only a little here and there. “You’re a fucking dick. Damn cocksucker. You don’t deserve this.” He said, around Tyler’s lip.

He wasn’t wrong. Tyler didn’t argue, liking the way Gavin squirmed under him. Deepening the kiss when he finally let him go. “I’m a dick, but your choice today. You want to fuck me, or you want me to fuck you?” Tyler asked, pressing his lubed fingers into Gavin. He didn’t bother starting slow, knowing Gavin liked the shock of it. His body jerked, his cock bouncing as he arched upward.

“You don’t deserve to have me inside you.” He growled. His eyes narrowed.

Tyler positioned himself between Gavin’s legs, “Yeah, then you want me inside you?” He waited for some witty come back, but Gavin only wriggled beneath him. His cheeks red. His hair wild. His eyes were still angry. Yet his legs were wrapping around Tyler’s waist and his hips bucked in excitement.

“No. You don’t deserve to fuck me either.” Gavin groaned; his gaze locked on Tyler’s dick.

“Know what, I’m going to give you five seconds to say the word to stop me. Then that fucking gag is going back in.” Tyler wanted to give Gavin what he needed, but the sharp words were too much. If he wanted to berate Tyler like this, they would have to switch places. Tyler could take it if Gavin led, he did it often enough with Bram through the years. But he wasn’t good in the dom position when it came to things like this. Angry sex wasn’t his forte.

Gavin didn’t say a word. The gag went back in just as Tyler stuffed his cock inside him and a low, guttural sound escaped his lover. There was no respite. As soon as Tyler was in him, he was fucking him as hard as he could. Gavin’s toes curled up the inside of his legs until his legs were wrapped around Tyler’s waist, moving with him. Tyler grabbed his cock as his lips moved over Gavin’s skin. He held on tightly, to the point where Gavin couldn’t coming. He didn’t want him to. He wanted to give more than he was taking, and right now, he wasn’t.

As Tyler came, Gavin’s eyes were nearly as large as saucers. He was trying desperately to say something beyond the gag, but Tyler knew he wasn’t going to beg him to stop. He wanted to finish with Tyler, but he wasn’t going to let that happen. Instead, he pulled out, sagging a moment without letting Gavin’s still rock-hard shaft go. Gavin was fighting so hard against his restraints, Tyler worried he was going to break the bed. He didn’t want to do that the first day they stayed in Bram and Iz’s new house, so he reached up, releasing Gavin’s bindings.

Gavin looked pissed about it though.

Tyler tried not to focus on that. Once Gavin was released, he immediately moved, taking him in his mouth. The gag came out of Gavin’s mouth quickly, splattering against the wall. Tyler’s mouth filled with Gavin’s cock, and he rocked back and forth, taking him in a little more each time. When Gavin’s hands clenched in his hair, he forced Tyler down further pushing in as far as he would take it. Tyler held his breath, breathing through his nose when he had the chance, but letting Gavin take what he wanted. It didn’t take long. He was primed and ready. Hips jerking, Gavin spasmed, slamming into Tyler as far as he could. Tyler suckled, extracting every ounce he could, swallowing hard.

As Gavin crumpled into an orgasming mess, Tyler pulled away. Leaning over, he kissed him. When he turned away, Tyler’s mouth dropped. “Are you really that mad at me?”

“I told you I didn’t want to.” He said, his back now turned to him.

Tyler stared, mouth agape. “I… I thought that’s what you wanted. I kept waiting for you to say the safe-word. Angry sex is what you wanted. Isn’t it?” He could see Gavin’s blush as he turned away into the pillows.

“You wanted sex. I wasn’t in the mood before you came in. But… I didn’t want to stop you either. It was good sex. I just…” His voice faltered and he didn’t continue, though Tyler wanted him to.

“We agreed on this, Gavin. You said, ‘stop doesn’t mean stop.’ I… I thought… I was doing what you wanted.”

Gavin didn’t answer. He didn’t even turn over.

“Gavin?” He waited. Still. Nothing. “Fine.” Tyler said, sitting up fully. “I’ll go stay in the spare room, I guess. I really did think—”

Gavin rolled over, his hand locking around Tyler’s wrist. “I’m a dick too. I don’t want you to leave.” He wouldn’t meet Tyler’s gaze. “Can you just, maybe hold me?” When he looked up at Tyler with those beautiful hazel eyes, he crumpled. “I swear, you didn’t do anything I didn’t like. I didn’t call out our safe-word because I didn’t want you to stop. I’m just… mad. I’m mad at the situation. It’s not your fault. It really isn’t. It’s hard for me to admit that I’m insecure about you and Bram. I haven’t been insecure about anything since you released me from my master. So, I guess you’ve spoiled me. That’s only because you never made me feel that way. Bram was bossy, but he never asked for anything I couldn’t do. Neither of you forced anything on me. I know I don’t belong in your circle, but, I don’t want to keep feeling like I’m living on the outside either.”

Tyler settled on the bed, pulling Gavin against him. The later snuggled into his chest, sighing as his face pressed bare skin. “I’m so sorry. Have you really felt like an outsider?” Tyler asked.

“I did. For a long time. You know, we met back in the twenties, and I knew you were my mate even then. I knew, and you never even looked at me.” He sighed, his breath warm against Tyler’s skin. “You were too caught up on him. You always were. I’ve watched you for years. I would never have become Bram’s lawyer if I didn’t continually hope you would just look at me.” Gavin’s fingers clamped around Tyler’s waist. “I hated that my mate didn’t see me. Because he had someone else he was chasing.”

“I won’t.” Tyler shook his head. “I won’t run away from you. Bram and I are over. We have been for a long time. Before you and I met even. I’m the one clinging to the past. It’s been a lot these last few years. That’s why when you said we could take Jen and go, I was all over it. I need a reprieve. To get away.”

“From him?” Gavin looked up finally.

“Yes. He has Izabella. I’ve waited for him to find his damn mate for most of my life. Now that he has, I can finally focus on myself. It was too hard before. I want to start a family. Kids are a no, believe me, I've done it. A teenager though? A full vampire no less? I feel like I can work with that.” Tyler couldn’t help but smile at Gavin. “At least if I have someones help." He tucked Gavin’s loose hair back behind his ear.

“She has magic.” Gavin deadpanned.

“Like Bram doesn’t? Believe me, I have learned how to work around that.” Tyler chuckled and Gavin only snuggled closer. “This is perfect. I have the experience, you have the full vampire knowledge. Why do you think I didn’t hesitate when he asked?”

“He didn’t talk to you about it. He asked me.”

“And you gave him all the right answers. That’s how I know you and I work.”
