Allure

“Haha,” Alisha laughed. “I am sharp, I don't think I am innocent, or else how would I be able to run?”

Levi moved her head left and right. Even though she didn't know Alisha well, she could still see that Alisha was strangely different while telling everything: how she met Alice and how even her dog got killed.

Levi couldn't help but feel something was very weird with Alisha. She wanted to talk about this to her mother Maya, but then she had to come here for a walk with Alisha. But for sure she would have a talk about this whole thing after this walk.

There was something very strange about Alisha, an innocence she had never seen in anyone. Maybe it was because of the curse, but she wasn't sure about it all.

“You are sharp, no doubt, but you are not sharp enough,” Levi stated.

Visible wrinkled lines showed on Alisha's forehead as she heard Levi's words. “What do you mean?”

She didn't know what Levi wanted to say. Clearly, it was confusing for her to understand. She did have innocence, but that's not innocence, it's just morals she has. She doesn't lie and says things on face, or else she has always been a top student. So, according to her, she is sharp. Way sharper than the kids who rank lower in exams than her — though she doesn't look down on anyone just because of that. Everyone has intelligence in one way or another, so it's weird to even say she is not sharp.

“I don't mean anything. It's just you're too cute,” Levi tried to change the topic.

“That's who I am,” Alisha chuckled, feeling shy after the compliment.

“For sure,” Levi pinched Alisha's cheek softly. “Your cheeks are soft too.”

Alisha's face turned red in shyness as she winced a little. “Cheeks have skin, so of course they are meant to be soft. Yours will be soft too.”

“Hahaha! Hahahah,” Levi let go of Alisha's hand and started laughing, grabbing her stomach.

“Why are you laughing? Is there a joke that I cracked that I am not getting?” Alisha waved her hand in embarrassment.

“You are so wild with your answers, it's fun. Before, in the shop, I thought you were a scaredy-cat, but it seems like it was only due to Alice's presence, or else you are a talkative one.”

“I was scared for my life at that time. Why wouldn't I be? He is a scary person,” Alisha stated.

“That's the case, I am very sure about. I like the way you talk though. It sounds weirdly savage and cute at the same time,” Levi stopped laughing as she rubbed her eyes.

Her stomach felt like it was going to burst out. She had never in her life laughed so much. Alisha really made her laugh like crazy — commendable!

“Your stomach is in pain? Why are you holding it?”

“I am holding it because I feel like I will get my stomach ripped open due to laughing so much.”

“That's not how it works,” Alisha, with a terrified look on her face, answered.

“You are right, that's not how it works,” Levi agreed, trying to suppress her laughter. “But seriously, you have a way of making things entertaining.”

“Thanks,” Alisha said, still slightly flustered. “I guess I just like to be honest and straightforward.”

“That's a good quality,” Levi nodded. “But sometimes, being too straightforward can get you in trouble.”

Alisha furrowed her brow. “What do you mean?”

“Well, for example, earlier when you said you thought Alice was scary. That's pretty blunt,” Levi explained.

“But he is scary!” Alisha insisted.

“I don't doubt that,” Levi reassured her. “But sometimes it's better to choose your words carefully, especially around certain people.”

Alisha pondered this for a moment. “I see what you mean. But I hate lying.”

“Good thing, but that doesn't mean you should always tell the truth. Sometimes lies are way better,” Levi smiled. “Now, shall we continue our walk?”

“Yes, let's,” Alisha agreed, feeling grateful for Levi’s humour.

Levi chuckled at Alisha's response, noticing how she attracted a woman hated by the youngest billionaire like Billionaire.

It's not her words, it's the media. Everyone knows how much he hates women. That's why she and Rish were shocked by that whole shopping for wedding rings, especially when there's no news about it.

It's Alisha's behaviour, the aura around her that makes her alluring. Even though they just met, Levi already feels pretty warm with Alisha.

She has beautiful red eyes and red hair, which adds more charm to her beautiful face. The round face and beautiful features clearly make her stand out. Anyone would fall for her — that's for sure.

As they proceeded with their walk.

"So, Alisha," Levi began, "how's life treating you?"

Alisha's expression shifted slightly, a mix of surprise and hesitance. "Not bad," she replied.

Levi nodded understandingly. "So, not good either?"

“No, I think it would be pretty good if we remove the past month I suffered. It really makes me feel sick whenever I think about it. Just because I hate drinking juice, Alice made me walk on glass. You can only imagine what I suffered.”

Levi's eyes widened as she heard Alisha's words. “Wow. How can someone be so cruel?”

“He is cruel. I don't even know why, but the way he behaved in the shop with you and Rish, he's worse with his employees. He throws things at them, making them bleed because they made a mistake,” Alisha explained. "I was genuinely scared and tried to look at the injured guy whom he once threw something at, but Alice made me stand there for so long, forcing me to only look at him for an hour.”

Levi's concern deepened as she listened to Alisha's account. "That sounds horrible. I'm sorry you had to go through that."

Alisha nodded, a sombre expression on her face. "It's been tough, but I'm trying to move forward."

Levi placed a comforting hand on Alisha's shoulder. "If there's anything I can do to help, please let me know."

Alisha smiled weakly. "Thanks, Levi. Just having someone to talk to means a lot."

She didn't know much more to appreciate. Maya, as a stranger, helped her, and now Levi is so good with her. She felt grateful that at least good people still exist.

Levi squeezed her shoulder gently. "Anytime, Alisha."
