Ancestor
"Damn Bob, why did he immediately spread information like that?" Aiden cursed in annoyance. He hated Bob's haphazard actions, which always gave information to other people without his permission.
"Hahaha...you look really upset, great grandfather!" said Frederic. He really enjoyed teasing Aiden, especially if he annoyed him.
"If there is nothing important, I will leave!"
"Who says there's nothing important? You know I've taken great pains to gather people who have the same goals as me. I don't want you to thwart my plans!"
"I have nothing to do with your plans, I won't have a mate anytime soon. So, just save your plans!" Aiden said as he left. He really didn't want to get involved in any of Frederick's plans. He knew that Frederick was too cunning to be trusted.
"Aiden, you know that you don't have much time left, right? To maintain your strength and build a pack, you need a mate. You won't be recognized if you're single, if the girl is a human, it doesn't matter even if it's difficult. You just need to play a little cunning to trick the other wolves." Frederic emphasized his sentence as if he suspected something. Aiden knew what Frederick was thinking right now about how a non-human creature like him would for the first time let someone get so close to him and even stay in his house.
Aiden is not an open person and likes to be in the middle of a group. He was a lone wolf for a very long time and he was too used to it. Therefore, having someone to live with him was something very strange and had never happened before.
"I'm not sure if she's worthy to be the mate of a creature that isn't even a complete werewolf like me. Forget it, Frederick! Oscar and his pack, they're too strong for me to defeat alone. He managed to take over leadership and get rid of my dad, so let it be he just got it!"
"Are you okay with that? He was the one who killed your parents and took everything that should have been yours. Now he rules in the world of werewolves, and is even my business rival now. Isn't that such a bastard? Tch, when I found out you bastard that and also his subordinates are not human, I'm really annoyed. He can easily get rid of all his enemies and the police can't catch him at all. The business empire that my father has worked so hard to build, is in danger of being destroyed because of his cunning. As I promised you at that time , Aiden! I won't deny it!"
The atmosphere became silent after Frederic stopped talking. None of his friends in the room dared to interrupt this conversation, even though there were many things they wanted to ask.
Aiden was reluctant to respond to Frederick's last question, he had lost his self-confidence for a long time and since he decided to come to England, he really wanted to forget all the difficult things he had experienced.
Aiden walked away, leaving a big question mark. In front of the door, Fiona was still standing in the same place and showing the same expression as before. It seemed that he had heard Aiden and Frederic's conversation, just like Frederic, he also didn't understand why Aiden was so stubborn like this.
"I don't know why you still doubt Frederic, Aiden? He might be your only remaining family. Frederic just wants to restore your father's glory days. Why don't you accept his offer?"
"Fiona, I choose not to trust anyone and that won't change just because I met the only family I know from my mother. Frederic just wants me to return to America to get rid of Oscar and his pack who are now the new casino kings. Maybe he should think of another type of business before he is too broke to start all over again." He said as he walked towards his Jeep which was parked in the mansion yard.
He didn't want to waste his time negotiating, because from the start he could smell Frederic's plan to use his power as a tool against Oscar. He didn't want to have anything to do with Oscar anymore, not because he couldn't beat him. But because he realized that he couldn't control his enormous power if his emotions exploded. He doesn't want what happened 20 years ago to happen again.

Aiden stopped his footsteps when he saw Azura sitting in front of the apartment door, sleeping between her knees. This girl was waiting for him, he didn't understand why he could let this foreign girl into his life.
Aiden squatted down and tried to wake Azura. But before he did, he heard Azura delirious softly in her sleep.
"Aiden, come home-"
Aiden was amazed, his heart was beating very fast. He could feel the rumbling in his chest getting stronger. He thought that this was just a dream, because it seemed impossible for an outcast creature like him to be accepted by someone.
He realized a long time ago that he could not join any group in his life. He was not recognized as a werewolf because his mother was a real human, it was also impossible for him to live like a normal human because he could endanger someone's life because of his difficulty in controlling his powers, he also could not be in the environment of the elves who considered him a despicable creature because werewolf blood flowing in his body. Yes, for almost all his life, he always received rejection and that made him believe that he would never have someone who wanted to be by his side.
"I'm home, Azura!" He whispered in Azura's ear. Azura woke up when she heard Aiden's soft voice in her ear.
When her eyes caught that face, her tears suddenly flowed. She didn't know why she felt happy and sad at the same time. She immediately hugged Aiden very tightly and her hug was enough to make Aiden realize that he had found someone who would accept him.
"I miss you."
