**Yuki**
I was so spaced out as I worked in the kitchen. My mind wondered to yesterday's conversation with Asami.

"Yuki Tomoki, can we talk?" Asami asked, distracting me from the chores I was doing for the day.

"Uhm...is anything wrong?" I asked timidly with my eyes lowered a little.

"No, I just wanted to talk." She said before I nodded and then I followed her to wherever she was going.

We entered a coffee shop where she ordered for both of us. When the orders were dropped, I watched as she picked up the tea but I observed there was no wedding ring on her finger.

"I wanted to apologize for hitting you that day. It was wrong of me to assume that you were having a sexual relationship with Haru. I'm really sorry so please forgive me." She said with eyes full of remorse making me to shake my head.

"No worries. I shouldn't have been involved with Haru in the first place. Thank you for bringing me back to reality." I said while holding my hands and giving a soft smile.

She wanted to say something but she held back and drank her tea.

"Haru said your leaving the country. When are you leaving?" She asked and dropped her cup.

"Next week Sunday."

"That fast."

"Well I have someone that had it done quickly that's why it's so fast."

"To be honest, is there anything that will change your mind about leaving?" She asked, creating tension that made my eyes flicker.

"No...nothing at all." I responded before she nodded, her face not giving up what she was thinking.

"The kitchen's on fire!" Kaede shouted snapping me out of my trance before Momo brought a fire extinguisher to deal with the fire.

"Yuki are you okay? This is the first time you've ever burnt anything." Kana scolded me as I removed the apron and heaved.

"I'm sorry, I'm just exhausted since I have to find someone new to run the café." I lied before excusing myself out of the kitchen and walked to the back of the building.

I took out my phone and chatted up Kirito. I was smiling at the silly puppy stickers he was sending till I heard a soft voice.

"Mama!" Takato said he jumped into my hands, crying as he hugged me tight, afraid I'll leave him.

"I'm so sorry for saying mean things. I didn't mean it because I love mama with all my heart." He confessed making me cry as I hugged him back.

"I love you too. Mama didn't mean to make you angry so stop crying unless I won't stop." I said to him, cleaning my eyes before he calmed down and cleaned his eyes.

"Mama, look Kairi and his papa." He pointed towards the guest who waved at me before I waved back and carried the little omega from his father.

"Yuki, it's so nice to see you again. Is it me or did you get taller?" He joked and placed his hand on my head making me to laugh.

"You seriously haven't changed. How is your mother?"

"She's fine. The doctor's said she's getting better."

"That's nice to hear. How long will you be staying in town?" I asked as Kairi played with my hair, giving a fascinated expression.

"I'm back in town. I'm gonna raise my boy because I'm clean." He confessed as he awkwardly scratched his head. I smiled before shaking his hands.

"Congratulations. I'm so glad to hear that."

"Heard that your leaving the country? Hope you don't forget us when you cross borders." He joked with a toothy smile and I laughed.

"Why don't you come inside." I requested but he placed his hands on my shoulder before carrying Kairi from my hands.

"Sorry but I promised my boy we are going to visit his grandma." He informed me, he and Kairi waving at Takato who waved back at him.

"Okay, goodbye Nowaki. Greet grandma for me." I said before waving goodbye as they left.

I held Takato's hand and we entered inside the house. Takato snatched his hands away from mine and hid behind me, peeking at the person who walked up to me. I looked up to see who he was hiding from and then saw Kirito.

"Oh your here but I thought you said..."

"I just wanted to surprise you. Here." He handed me a banquet of roses which weren't my favorite but I appreciated the effort he put.

"Their beautiful. Thank you." I said flashing him a smile before he took my hand and kissed it, leaving a blush on my face.

Kirito looked down to see Takato hiding behind me before he squatted and waved at Takato who kept a possessive glare at him. Kirito was chuckling at how cute Takato was when displaying the tiny alpha in him.

"Hey I'm Kirito and you must be Takato. Your mom has been telling me a lot about you and your much cuter in person." He said and stretched his hands towards Takato who slowly but cautiously shook his hand.

"Mama is this other dad?" Takato asked, clinging onto me as he pouted at Kirito. I nodded with a smile before he huffed.

"I like papa better. Papa knows mama doesn't like roses, messes too much." He exposed and my face tinted crimson in embarrassment as Kirito coughed.

"I didn't know that. I'm really sorry that I didn't get what you like and I'll make sure that by the end of the date, I'll know." Kirito said before standing and placing a chaste kiss on my face.

"Date?" I asked and he nodded.

"Well we're leaving in a few days and I've never really had a chance to be introduced to Takato. I really want to get to know him because his really adorable." He explained and I nodded, making eye contact between Kirito and Takato.

"Let us get ready. Give us ten minutes." I said before he nodded and we both went upstairs to change into something descent.

"Do you like the museum?" Kirito asked Takato whose eyes were looking at the astronauts suit.

"Yes. Papa brought me here and we got to see some real astronauts." Takato said slightly uninterested and then walked away to who knows where.

Takato was making his bonding difficult with Kirito. He said he didn't trust him because he was too good for his liking and was taking him away from his friends but that wasn't the scenario. Kirito was wearing down because he was putting all his effort to impress Takato and so far as what I've seen, the only thing that made Takato to actually acknowledge his presence was the bucket of ice-cream he bought for him. Typical six years old.

After three hours of moving around town with Kirito trying to buy Takato's attention only to dump the junks he didn't need in the trash in hope that the homeless people would use properly. It made me wonder where Takato got this attitude that clearly screamed Rin in every action.

"Please place the kid in the guestroom." Kirito instructed before the nurse nodded and carried Takato off my hand into the guestroom of his house.

I sighed in relief as I stretched out, noticing that Takato was getting bigger and he would be big before puberty that an alpha is expected to be develop certain features. I felt Kirito's hands on my waist, pulling me closer to him.

"You and me have a reservation dinner in a few minutes." He whispered making me smile as I shyly took off his hands from my waist.

He understood my actions but he didn't press and gave me a warm smile which just slowly returned.

"So when I opened her bag to collect her textbook, I saw her panties and she was so embarrassed that she cursed for the first time in her life for a whole week." I laughed at Kirito's joke about his cousin who had a crush on him when they were in high school.

"You must have been popular in high school."

"Very. What of you?"

"...I was average but was infamous for getting away with mischief because I was an omega."

"And a very adventurous one too." He complimented me, bringing a smile to my face before I noticed the atmosphere was quiet.

I watched as Kirito stood up and then went on one knee making my heart to freeze. He brought out a box and opened it, revealing a very expensive sapphire ring that matched my eyes.

"I'm not asking you to marry me but I really love you and I think this ring would look really beautiful on your finger. If we're going to America, I wanted to use this as an opportunity to give you time to think about us. How far you want our relationship to go because to be honest, I don't know when you'll get over your ex-lover and I really love you and want to spend the rest of my life with you Yuki." He confessed as he slowly slipped the ring into my ring finger and kissed my hand. "It looks really beautiful on you."

My breath hitched at his confession as I felt cold sweat on my body. Kirito was really sweet and considerate, maybe a little too considerate and any omega would be happy to be with him but I felt like I wasn't ready.

He was intelligent, witty, funny, adventurous and very kind that I felt his only flaw was being too perfect. I really cared for him and liked him but love was out of the question.

"Kirito I..."

"I don't expect you to love me back now but I'll do my best till your able to say those words to me." He said before he stood up and kissed my forehead and then went back to his seat.

"Shall we continue with dinner." He said and picked up his cutleries as I joined him with my mind in questioning.

*Will I ever love Kirito? No that wasn't the right question. It was supposed to be...will i ever be able to forget haru?*
