Aliyah's Pov;

I choked upon hearing what she just asked.

I quickly made for a can of chilled water as I poured it out in a clean glass as I gulped down the water coughing.

"Sorry Mom! Am sorry" Arya tried to stop me from coughing.

She thought maybe I choked from what I was eating not knowing that her words choked me.

"Have you forgotten your table manners Arya? Have you forgotten that you should talk while eating?" I covered up sharply.

"Am sorry Mom!" She bowed her head in guilt ..

"It's okay baby.... Go ahead and eat you know I still have to go to work too" I patted her hair.

"Yes Mom!" She mumbled as we continued eating.

It's true she already forgot the question but I still couldn't get it off my mind.

How do I explain to my innocent daughter that.....

Oh God!..

I don't have that courage to tell her about Arthur or to tell her that Arthur is still alive.

I don't want my daughter to have anything to do with them.

I want them to believe that am gone...

I don't want my daughter to go back to that horrible past.

We came as far as here to start a new life and that is what we are going to do.

We are moving forward and there is absolutely nothing like going back to the past cos I've been disowned.

I have no family except her uncle Leo and aunt Dora.

"You like the food?" I asked her with a smile.

She smiled broadly at me and nodded her head.

"Yes Mom... It's super delicious cos my mommy is a good cook" She complimented as we shared a laugh.

I know that one day I will have to answer that question but not just yet.

Immediately we finished eating and we cleared the table together,,, we marched outside holding hands.

She is the most beautiful gift I got from Arthur and she has his looks as well.

And Leo is the most wonderful person I know.... He even wants to get me another work but in another town.

Leo made me what I am today and am so grateful.

I have a car now with the bungalow he gave us... How benovelent!

Arya hopped into the car with her school bag on her back.

I ignited the car engine as I speeded out of the compound.

I drove her straight to school.

"Bye baby" I kissed her forehead.

"Bye Mom" she smiled broadly as she walked into the compound.

"Your lunch box Arya" I quickly brought it out from the car and ran to give her.

"Thanks Mommy" She hugged me tightly then waved goodbye before leaving.

I blew kisses at her as I got into my car and speeded up.

I smiled broadly as I drove.

My cell phone beeped and I picked it up.

It was a text message.

"I love you Mommy" I read out loud.

It was from Arya.

I replied her message "I love you more baby".

Patrick's Pov:

I peeped from inside my room through the keyhole.

I need to know when my mom is coming.

I heard her footsteps as I rushed to the wardrobe and brought out a container of balm.

I applied the balm on my face and hands as I rushed to my bed.

I jumped on the bed and covered myself with a duvet.

I started pretending to be shivering in cold.

Am a good actor guys so there is no fvcking way Mom is going to find out.

I was shivering when mom opened the room and walked in with anger.

"Patrick don't you dare tell me you are going to school today because....." She was screaming until she got in and saw me shivering.

She quickly kept mute.

I continued shivering like I was cold.

"Baby? Patrick?? Son?" Mom rushed to me throwing her arms around me.

"Mom....mom....mom am very sick" I shivered.

"What? Oh my gosh... You smell really sick" mom said since she hates the smell coming from the balms.

I know all along that mom doesn't like the smell cos it makes her feel sick.

"Oh my gosh.... Am so sorry son" mom pitied me.

She was already dressed for work.

"Yes Mom" I shivered.

"I'll call the head teacher and inform her of your absence" She patted my hair as I nodded

"I'll tell the maids to prepare pumpkin sauce for you" She said as I gasped.

"Eww.... Pumpkin what?" I freaked out cos I really hate that shit.

But I just have to comport myself.

"Pumpkin sauce it will help replenish your body" She explained as I nodded my head in disgust.

"Ok mom" I grumbled.

"I have to go baby" She said as she kissed me and dropped some medicine for me before leaving.

I quickly jumped up from the bed dancing in excitement.

I quickly picked up my PS game.... That's the main reason why I don't want to go to that crazy school..

Once they bring the pumpkin sauce then amma throw it on their faces.

Time for fun!

I started playing my games.

Arya's Pov:

I was at the library with my book right in front of me.

Actually my best friend is absent today her name is Samantha but I call her Sam.

Just then,,, I heard some students picking on another student.

Actually they were bullying her.

I quickly stood up and rushed there.

"Who do you think you are? Your dad left you and your siblings cos you guys are worthless" They laughed making fun of the crying girl.

I felt really sorry for her.

I quickly rushed to defend her so that she can at least stop crying .

"Hey... Stop it all of you... Stop picking on Jenny" I tried to stop them.

Suddenly they burst into laughter and I looked at them confused.

"See who is talking.... Jenny is better that at least her father ran off but yours I wonder if you flied out of your mommy's womb cos you haven't even had a dad" They made jest of me laughing and calling me names.

Hot tears pricked my eyes then streamed down my face.....
