Feeling Suspicious
The day went by quickly but Livy didn't immediately say or even accuse Arthur of cheating on her. Livy deliberately kept the situation quiet and continued to act like a husband and wife to Arthur. Like tonight, Livy and Arthur were having dinner at home. But Arthur noticed that Livy seemed to be daydreaming about something. Staring out the dining room window without paying attention to the food she had been eating on her own plate. Arthur frowned in confusion at his wife who he thought was strange. His eyes did not leave Livy who was still stirring her food without wanting to feed it to her own mouth.
'What's going on? Why is Livy daydreaming? What is she thinking about? Is she thinking about Willson who is meditating on Mount Helvellyn? It never changes. That bully has always been in Livy's mind. I feel like eradicating Willson from Livy's memory. Arthur thought.
“What's wrong with you? The poor thing is just stirring the food,” Arthur quipped. Instead of answering immediately, Livy glanced sharply at Arthur. Something she had never done before because normally she wouldn't dare look at Arthur like that.
“What's wrong, huh? You're looking at me like I'm looking at an enemy.”
'Patience, Livy... now is not the time to vent your anger.' Livy who suddenly smiled sweetly.
“It's okay, I just thought of something,”
“What on earth are you thinking about that you dare to look at me like that?” Arthur quipped.
“I was just wondering if you still frequent nightclubs when you get home late?” Livy asked.
“You're... suspecting me, huh?” Arthur accused.
'Hold on Arthur, you can't get emotional. It's your mission to be a good Alpha to get the power necklace from the moon god. You have to be more patient with Livy who is pregnant. It must also have the effect of making her more sensitive. Huh .. if only the power necklace was still attached to me, I would have tortured Livy from yesterday.' Thought Arthur, who really had to hold back his emotions this time so that he could fulfill the mission of the moon god.
“It's not suspicious, it's just that when you were with Natasha, you were often like that,” said Livy while stuffing food into her mouth. But the expression on Arthur's face had now changed differently. He wanted to be angry, but he couldn't.
“I'm done.” Hearing that made Livy immediately look at Arthur confused because suddenly the man stood up from his seat and walked towards the stairs.
“Strange, shouldn't I be angry that he cheated on me? Now he's just angry without saying a word, isn't he?”
_
This morning, Arthur and Gracia met again and talked about the night when they caught Willson doing the hermitage.
“Gracia, did you or did you not find it strange to see an eagle protecting Willson's hermitage, whereas when I was a hermit in the mountains, there was no one to protect me except myself and my own strength. The moon god is so unfair to werewolves like us,” said Arthur who was still standing with his right hand resting on the table behind him. Meanwhile, Gracia sat on the sofa in his office.
“I think so too, Mr. Arthur. The moon god seems to have no respect for us wolves anymore because maybe for him we can't be trusted. You were also once given a necklace of power, but you used it for evil. Maybe that's why the moon god no longer respects wolf people like us,” Gracia replied.
“It makes sense what you said earlier Gracia. I thought so too,” Arthur said with his arms crossed over his chest.
“And to make matters worse, Livy is now suspicious of me,” Arthur continued. Gracia widened her eyes even more at that.
“Suspicious of you how? Is that about you being nice to her just because of that power necklace?” Gracia asked.
“No, but Livy suspected me because I used to go out a lot at night after work. I was invited by Natasha to go to clubs and drink. It seems that yesterday when we went out that night Livy suspected me because she thought that I was at the nightclub again so I came home early,” Arthur explained everything to Gracia.
“What would Livu think? You're the one who went out with me and thought that you were having an affair with me, is that it?” Gracia tried to guess.
“Yes, it's possible, Gracia.”
“So... what do we do now? Even now nothing has worked in our plan to thwart Willson's hermitage. Yesterday we only saw it and you know for yourself that Willson is guarded by an eagle demon. Add to this the new problem of your wife being jealous of me, how is this?”
“I'll find a way to get more power than an ordinary Alpha wolf so I can destroy Livy my wife. If I wait for the moon god who has no allegiance to me, it will take too long. I will seek power from other animal demons,” when Arthur said that Gracia was naturally surprised.
“What? You're going to destroy your own wife?” Gracia couldn't believe that Arthur would go this far. Kill his own wife? It wasn't even necessary to send someone else, but Arthur himself would kill her.
“Yes, I have always had a grudge against my wife and I got the necklace from the moon god to take revenge and destroy my wife,” Gracia's head was suddenly dizzy and she held her head. Confusion overcame her now.
“But... are you seriously going to destroy your wife? Don't you love your wife?”
“I do love Livy, but my resentment and disappointment are greater than my love for her,” Arthur said and that made Gracia smile.
'This is very good news, I will be able to approach you more easily, especially when you and your wife will soon be separated because you killed her yourself.' Gracia thought.
“By the way... can I ask for help from the Eagle demon from yesterday? He seems strong,” Arthur asked Gracia for her opinion.
“But he's the moon god's messenger to guard Willson. Surely he will bow to Willson and not you, Mr. Arthur,”
“I will make her bow to me, Gracia, at all costs. So if Livy starts showing her suspicions again, I can attack her and kill her quickly.”
“I hope you don't regret killing your own wife, Mr. Arthur.” Hearing that made Arthur glance sharply at Gracia. Gracia seemed not to be on his side, but on Livy's.
“What are you talking about, GRACIA!” Arthur snapped.
