Wish Granted

She had said it—out loud for the world to hear. She’d told him exactly what she wanted. And it wasn’t just because ever since the moment she’d first met him, her core had been on fire. No, in this case, it was different. The pain behind his eyes every time he spoke of his wife made her want to fix him, to show him that he could love again.
And hopefully, this time around, it would be with her.
But that wasn’t saying she didn’t want him in a very raw, real, animalistic way either.
Aaron stared at her for a long moment, and Cadence returned the gaze, not blinking. He was trying his best to read her mind, to see if she was bluffing.
She wasn’t.
A second later, his mouth came down on hers, hard. Demanding and lustful, the kiss deepened within seconds so that she felt as if she was both consuming him and being consumed.
From that point on, there was nothing to be done to stop the fire ignited in both of them, and Aaron’s hands flew quickly, shedding their clothes in record speed as he continued to kiss her with hardly a break for a breath and only a millisecond to remove a shirt or two.
With his jeans still on, he dragged her down the bed, his hands wandering every part of her. The feel of his fingers on her breasts, gliding down her side, settling on her hips, lit every cell on fire. It reminded her a bit of her Transformation, how every fiber of her being had cried out in pain—but this didn’t hurt. It burned in the way a brush with steam singes the skin, just enough to bring it alive but not enough to make a person pull back from the flickering flame.
Her hands danced across his chest. She’d touched him there before, but now, she could take her time, memorizing every muscular indentation, every ripple of taut abdomen. She’d never known anyone with a body like his before, and even with her eyes closed, she could see him in her mind.
Which made her ask the question, “Is your IAC off?”
Aaron pulled his lips away from her neck for a brief second, his warm breath caressing her skin. “Yes, of course.”
His mouth went back to kissing a trail from her ear to her breasts, and she relaxed, trusting him. What sort of a sicko would leave their IAC on during something like this, anyway?
He took a nipple between his lips, and Cadence immediately cried out but had to stifle it, not knowing if her sister was at home or had spent the night with friends. She didn’t want to worry Cassidy. His tongue felt so good, though, circling her peek, flicking her in a perfect rhythm.
If the man could do that with his tongue, what the hell could he do with his dick?
She was about to find out. Aaron wasn’t wasting any time. He pulled off of her, leaving her cold and exposed, but she didn’t cover herself, only sat up on her elbows to watch as he slid out of his remaining clothes, his jeans and briefs.
The rest of his body was even better than she’d imagined it, and she wasn’t sure if she should concentrate on his well-proportioned dick or his thighs that were clearly like pure muscle. If only she could see his ass.
He didn’t give her much time to look, though, before he was back on top of her, again moving her so that she was in the position he wanted her to be in, dragging her toward the center of the mattress.
He kissed her again, and as his tongue looped around hers, his fingers spread her wide. Cadence was so wet, so slick with want, his fingers easily slipped inside of her, deep, and again she had to stifle a cry, this time only moaning quietly into his mouth.
Withdrawing his hand, Aaron entered her with one quick thrust that stretched her beyond her imagination as her narrow opening had to adjust to his enormous appendage. He was right… Jack was no comparison at all to what was happening inside of her body now.
Aaron wasn’t fucking her brains out, thrusting fast and furiously, but he was moving with purpose, his full intention to hit her everywhere that felt good with every movement of his hips, and the intensity was electrifying. Cadence understood now what he had meant. Within a few minutes, she found herself losing all capacity to think logically as her body cried out in places she’d never felt before.
Both of them were breathing hard, and it had nothing to do with their physical capabilities since they were in pristine athletic shape. No, this was a matter of want, a matter of needing one another so intensely it made the air around them hard to inhale.
Cadence wrapped her arms around his back, both of them covered in a thin veil of sweat already as Aaron pressed even further inside of her, his mouth never wandering far from hers. She was lost to the world, her mind having drifted away the moment she felt herself begin to spasm around him, and it was all she could do to keep her cries to a whisper.
This was life-altering in a way she couldn’t put into anything more than simple thoughts. She would never be able to think about sex the same way again, and if she ever slept with another man, she knew he’d have no way to compete with this.
In those moments, with him still moving deep inside of her, the rest of the world was pushed aside, and Aaron was the only one, the only thing that mattered to her, not just because he could make her feel this way but because she knew she would never, ever want to be with anyone ever again but him.
It took a few hours for him to finally get his fill, and when he finally tightened up inside of her and then released, Cadence felt her lungs burning and her muscles, so contracted and tight, she knew she’d be sore for the next week.
He stayed on top of her, looking down at her, his blue eyes slowly returning from some far-off place. “Are you all right, Cadence?”
“Yeah,” she muttered. Her constricted lungs wouldn’t let her say much more.
They were both sweaty, and she was exhausted. She had no idea if he was tired or not, but the idea that he might get dressed and slip out the window was chilling. She clung to him, not wanting to let him go.
As if reading her mind, he said, “I’ll stay, Cadence. I’ll stay.”
She let go of the breath she’d been holding, and when he pulled the blankets down for her, she got under them, even though she wasn’t cold at all.
Aaron pulled her to his chest, and he settled her head over his heart, hoping when he said those words, that he’d stay, he wasn’t just talking about in her bed for one night—that he was talking about in her life. Forever.
Now, she could suddenly understand how Laura and Eliza had gotten to be the way that they were. Aaron was like a drug, and once you had a hit, you had to have more.
Apparently, some women would do anything for it—even fuck up their entire lives.
Cadence didn’t want to be like them, but she was on her way, and she couldn’t say he didn’t warn her.

***
That had been a mistake.
As glorious as it was, Aaron knew before he even pushed inside of Cadence that it was a tragic mistake. He knew better. He knew that this could potentially ruin his best chance at having a normal relationship with a normal girl since… Aislyn.
Yet, he’d given in to the lust he’d felt for her for as long as he could remember and done it anyway, and now, with her sound asleep against his chest, her beautiful naked body snuggled up against his, he couldn’t help but wonder if he could find a way to make this work
He absolutely had genuine feelings for her. Though he’d been surprised earlier when she’d said that she loved him, or that she was falling in love with him, anyway, he knew that the possibility of him falling was there, too.
The idea of taking things slow had been appealing, until she’d looked into his eyes and told him exactly what she’d wanted—for him to fuck her. So… he had. And now… here they were….
He took a deep breath and pulled his eyes off of her, determined to get some work done if he could. But it would be difficult when all he wanted to do was stare at her beautiful face.
For a few hours, he tried to concentrate on all of the IAC messages filling his head, but as long as he was there with her, he wasn’t going to get any actual work done. So… around 3:00, he managed to untangle himself from her and got dressed without waking her up. He wrote her a quick note since her IAC wasn’t on, and for some reason, he couldn’t force it on. Then, he slipped out the window, hoping she wouldn’t be too disappointed to wake up to find him gone.
He'd told her he’d stay… but he hadn’t said forever.
The drive to the hotel didn’t take that long, and when he arrived in the room Laura wasn’t camped out in, he wasn’t too surprised to find Elliott standing in the small kitchen area, a bag of Cheetos open in his hand. On the couch, Christian, Eliza, Hannah, and Laney were sitting in front of a television, though it looked like Laney wasn’t even watching what was on.
His best friend twerked an eyebrow at him, and Aaron ignored him, grabbing a beer out of the refrigerator. He’d go into the other room, the bedroom, to get on his laptop as soon as Elliott allowed him to pass.
Which wouldn’t be directly.
“Well?” he asked, via the IAC.
“Well, what?” Aaron responded.
Elliott cleared his throat aloud. “Why was your IAC off for so long?”
“I didn’t see any messages from you,” Aaron said with a shrug. He started to walk away, but Elliott blocked his way with his huge frame.
“I know what you did,” he said. “And I know it was a really shitty idea.”
Aaron wasn’t shocked that Elliott knew what he’d been up to, but it also wasn’t his business. “It wasn’t my idea,” he said with another shrug.
“It might not have been your idea, but you have the self-control of a fucking saint, so don’t tell me you couldn’t have turned her down.”
He couldn’t have, but Elliott wouldn’t believe that. He’d tried, and while he knew he shouldn’t have ever turned the car around and came back to her room after he’d left the first time, he’d been drawn to her, like a moth unable to escape the pull of the light, even when they know that light is fire.
“It’s fine, Elliott. She’s fine.”
“For now,” the burly Guardian said. “But if you hurt her… I’ll have to pound you into the ground, whether you’re my boss or my best friend or not, got it?”
Aaron shook his head at Elliott. He might be bigger, but he knew he could take him if he had to. “It doesn’t matter, okay? We’re going out on Wednesday, when I get back from Arizona. She’s not like the other girls I’ve dated. We’ll be fine.”
Elliott studied his face for a moment before he said, “The main reason I didn’t want her to stay is because I didn’t want her to get killed.”
“I know—” Aaron began, but Elliott cut him off.
“The other reason is because I didn’t want her to get fucked over by you.”
Aaron stared at him for a second. “I didn’t fuck Eliza or Laura over. You know the situations with both of them.”
“I do know,” he said. “And I didn’t say you did fuck them over, but at the same time, I know how you operate, and if you get scared that this is too serious, you’ll find a way to blame her, and she’ll lose her ever-loving mind, just like Tweedlebitch and Tweeldewhore.”
Aaron almost laughed at the nicknames, wondering which was which, but didn’t ask. “We’re good.” He clapped Elliott on the shoulder, and his friend moved aside. Aaron headed for the bedroom again, but it was Christian who stopped him this time.
“Everything okay, boss?” he asked. “With Cadence?”
Aaron looked across the room at the other Guardian, thinking it funny he should ask. “Yeah, everything’s fine. Just making sure she got to sleep.”
Christian nodded, but Aaron couldn’t help but think that was strange.
Why the hell did Christian care of Cadence was okay?
