Episode 41
Jen was shocked to see Eric leaning against the doorjamb of Lillianna’s house. “What are you doing here?” Jen asked, as Eric grabbed her arm and pulled her into the house.
“Just shut up,” Eric growled against her ear as he slammed the door shut behind her.
Jen’s heart was beating fast as Eric dragged her into the living room and threw her onto a chair. Holding her in place, he purred against her ear, “You didn’t think I wanted you all along did you.”
Jen whimpered as Eric held her mouth closed with his hand, Eric bit her ear before releasing her. “Just stay here like a good little assistant, now where is that bitch Lillianna?”
“I don’t understand, why are you doing this?” Jen said, as a tear slid down her cheek.
“My stupid brother, Larry wanted Lillianna, and I thought if I got close to you, I could help him out. But it appears his dumbass went and got killed last night,” Eric said sitting down on the coffee table in front of Jen. He stared at her, and he had a wild look Jen had never seen before. “It was never about you. You just got in the way now and will have to be taken care of now I guess,” Eric said looking at Jen.
Jen moved back against the back of the chair, looking around wildly for some way to escape this man. She had thought he loved her, but then that night at the restaurant he was so rude, something just wasn’t right.
“So before I get mad, tell me where Lillianna is?” Eric said very slowly and deliberately.
Jen shivered at the tone of his voice, he was completely insane, how did she not see this before?

At the hospital, Kevin and Lillianna sat in the room waiting for the doctor to come in. “Kevin would you mind running over to the house and getting me some clothes to come home in? I’m sure it will be a bit before I get discharged,” I asked.
“Yeah no problem babe, I’ll be back in a bit. Is there anything else you need?” Kevin asked.
“Actually, yeah I’m starving if you wouldn’t mind grabbing me a burger on your way back,” I said, reaching out and Kevin leaned over to kiss me.
###
Eric and Jen turned abruptly when Kevin came through the door. Jen sat now tied to a chair and Eric was standing over her about to hit her again. Blood trickled down her mouth as she screamed, “Kevin he’s trying to kill me.”
Kevin drew his gun as Eric tried to jump behind the couch. Rolling behind the other couch Kevin peaked out from behind. “Come out now Eric and we can end this peacefully,” Kevin said as he grabbed his cell phone and dialed 911. Setting it down on the floor. “Eric this is Kevin Jefferson you know I’m a police officer, this can end peacefully. You don’t need to be here at Lilliana Layleys house,” Kevin said as he heard the 911 dispatcher pick up the call.
Thankfully the 911 dispatcher knew to remain quiet and listened for more instructions from Kevin.
“You killed my brother and I’m gonna kill your girlfriend,” Eric said venomously from behind the couch.
“Jen, is he armed?” Kevin asked.
“I don’t know,” she cried.
As Kevin and Eric stood off against each other, it seemed as if hours had passed since Kevin walked in the door. Sirens could be heard, outside of Lillianna’s house. “Eric, just come out with your hands up man and no one will get hurt,” Kevin said still crouching behind the couch.
“No man, you killed my brother and now Lillianna deserves to be dead with him,” Eric said, standing up and shooting at Kevin.
From outside the home, “Shots fired,” officers shouted as they broke into the house with guns, shooting Eric directly in the chest. Eric fell back against the wall behind the couch. His face shocked as he fell backwards. Jen screamed as the bullet passed over her head and hit Eric. Kevin laid his gun down and put his hands up.
“Thank God you guys got here,” Kevin said as he slowly stood up.
“Oh my God,” Jen came over to Kevin as he hugged her close.
“It’s gonna be okay, let’s get you out of here,” Kevin said ushering her out the door so she wouldn’t see Eric’s dead body lying directly behind where she had just been in the chair. “Let’s get this nasty cut on your eye looked at, Lillianna’s already at the hospital, I will explain on the way,” Kevin said as he escorted her to his car.
