Ozzy POV

“Housekeeping,” a familiar voice rings in the air as the person steps off the elevator. I hear the clicking of heels approaching me. I walk toward the clicking. It cannot be her here to see me. It is over between us.

I turn the corner to see Gia dressed to kill. Her long hair pulled back on the sides, and the back hanging long to her waist. Her pencil skirt is skin-tight, showing her perfect figure. Her top unbuttoned at her breast.

“What are you doing here?” I ask her.

She walks toward me slowly. “I came to see you, silly. I was under the impression we are on good terms. Plus, I am dying to see Conrad’s club,” Gia says.

This is not acceptable. “Where is your man? You know, the one you left me for just weeks before we were supposed to get married,” I say to her.

“Come on, Ozzy. We both know that we were not in love with each other. I was just the first one to step up and admit it,” Gia says.

“You cannot stay here with me. I will get you a room,” I say to her.

“You do not have room for an old friend in this luxurious penthouse? Come on, Ozzy. Don’t make me stay like a peasant,” Gia says.

There is no way in hell I am sharing this penthouse with her. Besides, I am only here a few more days, and I intend to spend as much time with Viv as possible.

“You need to leave, Gia. I will call down to the front desk and secure you a nice suite,” I say.

Gia looks disappointed. She throws her hands in the air and acts as if she is going to throw one of her legendary diva fits. “Well, Ozzy, you act like you have a woman in here or something,” Gia says.

I smile at her. I do not mean to smile, but I cannot help it. Viv is asleep in my bed. The last thing I want is Gia to meet her right now.

“Go, Gia, I will call the desk,” I say, trying to usher her out of the penthouse.

“Ozzy, Come back to bed,” Viv calls to me.

Gia stops dead in her tracks. I almost had her out of here. “Who the fuck was that? Did you pick up a whore at the club?” Gia taunts me.

I hit the elevator button and wait for Gia to join me. “Come on, Gia,” I say to her sternly.

As the elevator reaches the penthouse, Viv steps into the main room of the penthouse. Gia looks her over. “Well, Well, Well, what do we have here,” Gia says.

I push Gia onto the elevator. “Naughty boy, Ozzy,” Gia says as the elevator door closes. I rub my temples. This is not the headache I want this early. Why is she here, and what does she want?

Viv wraps her arms around me and lays her head on my chest. “You left me all alone, Ozzy,” Viv says so sweetly.

I kiss her forehead. “Sorry, I am coming back to bed. You are my priority right now,” I say.

“Who was that?” Viv asks me.

I touch her upper arm and gently push her back from me to be completely honest with her. “It was my ex-fiance, Gia. She is in town and wanted to stay here with me,” I say.

“Oh, I see,” Viv says. She walks over to the couch and plops down. I can tell she is processing those words. Does she feel for me the way I have suddenly realized I feel for her. It is too soon for either of us to have feelings for one another, but there is just something cosmic going on between us that I cannot deny.

I sit down beside her on the couch and pull her close to me. The silk robe she is wearing is incredibly sexy, but I need to focus on her knowing I have no feelings for Gia anymore. I am not even sure I ever did have feelings for Gia.

Gia is a horrible person. She is loud, obnoxious, and a real bitch. I have no idea why I was with her or even planned to marry her. I guess I was young and stupid when I met her. Maybe I just liked fucking Gia.

“Viv, it is over between Gia and me. She moved on, and so did I. We remained friends, somewhat. You do not have to worry about Gia and me, I promise you,” I say to Viv.

“Good,” she says.

“Why don’t you take the night off and spend it with me?” I ask her.

She snuggles in closer to me. “I wish I could, but I cannot, unfortunately. I am off tomorrow night,” Viv says.

“Good, then it is a date,” I say.

Viv smiles, and her face glows. “ A real date, not come to my hotel room?” Viv asks.

“Yes, I will pick you up at your apartment, and we will do anything you want,” I say to her.

“Do you want me to take you to work tonight?” I ask her.

“Of course, it is not like Conrad is stupid. He knows I am seeing you,” Viv says.

“Yeah, he threatened me within an inch of my life if I hurt you,” I say.

Viv laughs. Her laughter is enchanting. Sitting here holding her and being with her is like heaven. I could sit here and hold her forever.

“Conrad is protective of me,” Viv says.

“I know I just promised you a date, but why don’t you in the morning after you get off work? You come here with me, and after you rest a while, I will take you out,” I say.

“Sounds perfect, but I will have to go by my apartment and gets some things in the morning after work,” Viv says.

“I will take you after work,” I offer.

“Sounds perfect,” Viv says.

I lean down and kiss Viv. The elevator door opens, and I hear the clicking of heels. That bitch came back.

“Ozzy, there are no suites available,” Gia says, walking in on me holding a barely covered Viv.

Viv wraps her silk robe around her tightly and leaves the main room of the penthouse for the bedroom.

“Well, that is no wolf. What the hell are you doing?” Gia asks.

I grab Gia by the arm. “Give me your key. I do not know who gave you a key to this penthouse, but you will not be staying with me. Now, go to another hotel before I call security on you, Gia!” I scream at her.

Gia hands over the key. “I got it from your driver,” she says as I shove her on the elevator for the second time this morning.

“Watch yourself, Ozzy. You know she is not for you,” Gia says as the elevator door closes on her.
