CHAPTER 16

**Nadine’s First Life: First Night as Couple**
Without warning, Marcus carried her from the dining hall to their own paradise. They heard friends applauding. She bet that Marcus’s grandmother wasn’t thrilled with their dramatic exit. He's insane for kissing her on their way upstairs.
He almost claimed her on the stairs! It would be the most scandalous event in White Pride if someone would see them making love outside their bedroom. He was thrilled for some reason, so when they entered their room, the two of them almost scrambled to take off their clothes.
They're both excited on what's about to happen. When Nadine's naked body was exposed to him, Marcus couldn't help but stare. He repeatedly preached to himself that he should not touch Nadine because it wasn’t yet the right time to do it. However, his body was treacherous!
Nadine reacted the same way. Marcus's body was magnificent. He's like one of the sculptured statues in Athens except for its male anatomy. He's all muscles and hard. His eyes dropped from his chest down to his flat stomach and a little bit lower to his appendage. Then, she blushed. No wonder it hurts so much on her first time. He's too huge for her! Her heartbeat quickened with excitement as Marcus approached her.
Then she felt his hands on her breast and he tugged on her nipples with all the tenderness he could give. He licked it with his tongue, while his hands roamed over her body. Gradually she felt Marcus's hands crawl from her breast, to her abdomen, caressing until she moaned, then it even went down the middle of her thigh and felt the very center of her femininity.
Her knees became softer at what her husband was doing. They both collapsed on the soft bed. She was surprised to feel his hot tongue caressing her neck, down to her chest. She couldn't help but moan as he licked her chest, and down further down, through her abdomen until his tongue reached the middle of her thigh.
Nadine arched her back when she felt his tongue on her wetness. Then, she moaned when he started to lick her clitoris. He tugged at his hair because what he was doing to her was ticklish! Her skin became sensitive to his touch!
She was so engrossed at his foreplay that she barely noticed when he changed his position, and in one swift motion, he penetrated her! Unlike the first time in the cave, it was no longer comfortable or painful. She enjoyed the pleasurable feeling every time he would thrust into her.
The penetration of his hardness caused and intense sensation as if she would explode at any moment. She could his manhood with each thrust. Then, she decided to meet his every movement. As he moved faster, she could barely contain her moans.
She kissed him hard on his lips, and let him feel how much she loved him. They both rocked their bodies hard, until they both reached unparalleled happiness. Marcus groaned as he released his seeds inside her womb and she almost fainted while catching her breath.
It was wicked, what they were doing but she wanted it and enjoyed it very much. It was the perfect lovemaking, ever! She thought it would never happen again, but every time she fell asleep, his tongue was anywhere on her body. Marcus also woke him up a few times last night. She could say, they made love all night.
In the morning, her entire body was sore. She didn’t want to get up but she had to. She took a hot shower to relieve the tension in her muscles. Then, she wore a red hanging blouse paired with denim shorts.
Unfortunately, the first person she saw when she got out of her room was his grandmother. When the old woman noticed what he was wearing, there was disappointment on her face. His grandmother was shocked! However, Nadine thought that the woman was just overacting. Beside his grandmother was Gabby who wore a more revealing clothes than her. While they were eyeing each other, Marcus came, then his grandmother glared at him.
“Marcus, tell your wife to change her outfit!”
“Grandmother, let it do. The weather is hot today, so just let Nadine to wear whatever she wants to wear,” Marcus said and then he winked at Nadine.
“My husband is right, grandmother,” Nadine seconded. “Besides, my outfit is better compared to what Gabby is wearing right now,” she added.
“Don’t involve Gabby, Nadine. You are part of our family now so you should behave accordingly. Do not embarrassed our family!”
“You heard my grandmother, Nadine. Go and change into something appropriate. Breakfast will be served in a few minutes, so I expect you to join us as soon as possible.”
“Okay, my dear,” Nadine said and then she kissed Marcus before leaving. Both women were too stunned to speak.
However, she was mistaken when she assumed that Gabby wouldn’t join them for breakfast. She wanted to make it appear that Gabby was rude and has no manners at all. How could she impose herself on a newlywed couple?
She was annoyed at his grandmother because the old hag insisted that Gabby should stay for a couple of days, but she was more annoyed at her husband because he just tolerated his grandmother for tormenting her.
She was so annoyed that she walked out of the dining room and refused to eat along with his family. Then, she went upstairs and packed her things. If Marcus assumed she was just going to accept the unfair set-up in White Pride, he was so wrong on that matter! She was never meek or demure! After packing up, she asked Kate to transfer her things to another bedroom.
Inside the guest room, she decided to spend her time reading a book. She was seated by the window, enjoying the morning breeze, when Marcus stormed inside. He was furious!
“What do you think you are doing, Nadine?” He screamed at her.
“What do you mean? That I moved into this room? You should know the reason why I am here, Marcus,” she answered.
“Stop this, Nadine, and follow me to our room,” he ordered.
“I will only do it once you get rid of your mistress,” she bargained.
“You're overacting as a wife, dear. I am your husband and in this place, you should always be obedient,” he reminded her.
Nadine was hurt by Marcus's words. “But Marcus, you made love to me over and over. Didn’t it mean anything to you?” Nadine squealed. “Besides, I am your mate, your destined Luna!”
“As your husband, I expect you to be ready in bed anytime I wanted to have sex with you!”
“I'm sorry that I forgot I was living in dreams and fairytale these last few days. I'm sorry. But I hope that it's not too much for you to be discreet in your affairs.” She almost cried while saying that to him. Then, she turned away from him to hide her tears.
“Okay, and I'll expect the same from you,” he stated, and she frowned.
Since then, Nadine wondered why Marcus also warned her to be discreet with her affair. She was not having an affair with another man! She has always been faithful and loyal to him, so why? Nadine took a deep breath as she buried the sorrow deep inside.
Their union was a complete disaster! Marcus has changed into a different person! Every day, she experience his indifference toward her, and she wondered why or what caused the changes. He didn’t sleep with her anymore. He spent his evening in the study room, or in another guestroom.
When his father died, and he took over the pack, she thought Marcus would change his treatment to her. As the Luna of White Pride, she expected to be treated accordingly, however, he became worse with each passing day.
Nadine was miserable, and yet, she couldn’t bring herself to leave him. If not because of Jason who always checked on her, she thought she would go crazy because of Marcus! Sometimes, she would hear some rumors that Marcus has spent late nights with Gabby, but she couldn’t even bring herself to confront him.
She was doomed!
Days passed by slowly for a woman with a broken heart. Until one day, she noticed that she has been missing her monthly period. Nadine panicked at the thought of becoming a mother when she and Marcus were not in good terms.
Every morning, she experienced being nauseous. Then, she would get dizzy especially when the weather was hot! She lost her appetite, and she has been losing some pounds. Kate has expressed her concern several times, but she didn’t give a damn! She was thinking about Marcus and Gabby together. She heard they went on a trip together, and it was just the two of them!
With his indifference, Nadine decided to hide her true condition from everyone. Then, she tried her best to get along with his grandmother. As the new Alpha of the Pack, he has been very busy, and he had no time for her.
“Grandmother,” she whispered behind the woman who was having her coffee at the terrace.
“Don't call me that. I will never accept you for Marcus!”
“You see, I just want to make peace with you so we don't have any problems here at home.” Nadine explained.
“Really? If you don't want us to get in trouble here then leave!”
Because of what she heard, Nadine could no longer control herself. It's too much. “Even if you still don't like me, the fact that I'm his wife won't change. I am now the Luna of White Pride!”
“You are a rude woman, Nadine Smith!”
Then, Nadine’s eyes widened in shock when the old woman slapped her so hard. The woman’s hand perfectly landed on her cheeks and was almost knocked out because of the impact. His grandmother might be old but the woman was strong!
“Behave, Luna Nadine,” she warned Nadine.
Nadine chose not to say anything in front of her husband’s grandmother because she left. She just made a mental note to be careful around that woman. She did her best to get along with her as her way of respecting the old woman. Since his grandmother didn’t like, Nadine chose a different path.
With the absence of the Alpha, it was she, the Luna of White Pride has led the pack with iron hands! She showed everyone that even if she was young, she was responsible enough! She was a born leader!
One evening, it rained hard that night. According to the weather update, a storm was coming. Then, that night, Marcus came home with Gabby. She was really astonished to see them together! They were happy while she was not! How unfair!
“Nadine, won't you even make an effort to reconcile with my with my grandmother?” Marcus confronted her while she was enjoying her favorite wine at the veranda.
“Why don’t you ask her, Marcus? I did everything I can to get alone with her, but she’s the meanest person I had the misfortune to meet!”
“Shut up, you wench! You must have forgotten that we are talking about my grandmother here, Luna!” He screamed at her but then he noticed that Nadine looked pale.
“You know her better than me,” she said while accepting defeat. She was tired of defending herself to Marcus!
“I am asking you,” he stated.
“If I will say that she was lying, would you believe me? I doubt it,” she told him.

“But you're the one I'm asking Nadine, if everything he's accusing you of is true?” It was hard for him to mediate between the two women.
“If I say your grandmother is lying, will you believe me?” The man did not answer her. “Did I mention, this conversation is pointless Marcus, when it comes to your grandmother? But wait, why aren't we talking about Gabby?”
“And what has Gabby got to do with this?”
“Do you really have to bring your mistress here? I told you to be discreet on your affairs!” she shouted at him.
“Discreet, big word isn't it? What about you and John? How dare you sleep with someone else while I was gone?”
