CHAPTER 18

Nadine’s First Life: Chasing Her
The pharmacy attendant arrived just in time, and after getting her purchased medicines, she quickly walked to the car parked not far from the pharmacy. Once inside, she turned it on and drove it down the road.
When she got home, her nostrils still flared with anger and annoyance. How dare him! After a few minutes of debating what to do to forget the encounter she and Marcus had earlier at the pharmacy, she decided that she still loved him.
However, he didn’t show up again, and she already missed him! Sometimes, she wanted to just go back to the White Pride without being asked, but her pride would stop her from doing it. One evening, she was driving fast in a deserted road after visiting an old acquaintance of her father. She just remembered the woman who were so close with Frederick Smith, and she felt it was her duty to inform the woman about her father’s demise.
The road was a bit dark because there are no lamp posts, it looked like a private.
“Shit, why now?” she asked herself when suddenly a tire on the right exploded.
She tried calling anyone who could help her but nobody could go where she was. Nadine felt hopeless at her situation. Then, she looked around. No human beings. No sightings of rogues, too! She was looking around, and trembling with fear, when suddenly a car pulled up in front of her.
She continued to panic. She prayed not to be noticed, but with the color of her car being so white, it was impossible for them not to notice her. She was praying for her safety when suddenly there was a knock on her window. Her body froze until she realized who it was and then she powered the window down. She momentarily forgot the anger for the man and the excitement prevailed!
“You're glad to see me and I wonder why,” Marcus said and smiled sweetly at Nadine. He followed the woman earlier when she left the house.
“Because I am expecting for a towing service to come,” she answered.
“I'm sorry to disappoint you sweetheart, but I can take you to your house.” Marcus offered.
“I can't just leave the car here, I'll wait for the towing company.” Nadine was stubborn but honestly, she was about to give up. Is the woman really like that?
“I think it's better if you get out of there first. It's a wonderful, it's cold, lots of stars, and most of all, we're the only ones here.” he said seductively. His intention was to weaken her resolve.
Why not? It would be a perfect date, ever! With Marcus, under the same sky and stars.
You're really crazy Nadine, she scolded herself.
“Thanks, but no thanks, Marcus. I'd rather wait here,” she said to the man, but when he turned around and was about to return to his own car, she quickly changed his mind. “Wait,” she called.
Nadine adjusted her skirt which was already a bit wrinkled from sitting down. But Marcus kept walking towards his own car. She had no other choice, but to follow the man and call his name. “Marcus, Hey Marcus wait for me!”
Marcus looked at Nadine for a moment but she didn't answer or stop walking. “Where have you been?” Supposedly he did not know where the woman went.
Nadine smirked at what the man said because she doubted it had always followed her. “Nice car,” Nadine said as she approached the vehicle she was carrying.
“Yes. Gabby gave it to me as my birthday gift,” he replied.
“Okay,” she answered.
“I missed you,” Marcus said while staring at Nadine.
Nadine wasn't sure what she had heard or maybe her eardrums were damaged as well. Did Marcus really say that? “What did you say?” she asked Marcus but he didn't answer. He just stared at her and then suddenly hugged her tightly and crushed her with a kiss.
She was surprised when his lips first touched hers. She tried to push him but failed. She couldn't get out of his tight embrace and her knees seemed to weaken as well and just wanted to give in to the man's fury. She also missed him, but she's still hurting from his betrayal.
“Open your mouth, sweet,” he could feel her hesitation and confusion but it couldn’t stop him. He couldn't stop himself from kissing it and one thing led to another. He felt the woman let go but it was still not right to surprise him. What would it say to his fury?
Nadine sighed at what the man said. He talked dirty to her! Her mouth opened in shock so the man was free to insert his tongue inside her mouth and became even more aggressive.
Oh, it was insane!
Gradually her body weakened and melted into her husband's kisses. He had always been a good kisser. She tried to fight the sensation he was feeling, but she couldn't!
Nadine felt Marcus's hand go down to her chest and was able to move the hem of her skirt up to her waist. The cold air touched his exposed skin but he couldn't feel the cold but Marcus's warm hand that traveled freely all over her body. They were both shocked when they heard the loud horn of the towing truck and she suddenly pushed him. He smiled and winked at her.
“We should hang out sometimes,” Marcus said.
“No, it won’t happen,” she replied.
“Why? We’re good together, “Marcus refused to accept what the woman said that there would be no next time.
“You’re imagining things, Marcus! Just because I allowed you to kiss you means that I’m into you, understand?”
“Really? Stop lying to yourself, Nadine. I know you still felt something for me when I kissed you earlier, “Marcus replied.
Nadine laughed at what the man said and looked him in the eye. “Can't I just miss the feeling of being kissed? Common Marcus, don’t be naive. Any man will do, okay?”
Marcus was stunned by what she said. What? Any man would do? He quickly followed the woman and grabbed her arm. “Repeat what you said!” He shouted.
“I said, I can kiss any man. Did you really think that you were the only man in my life?” She laughed and opened the car door but the man stopped her.
“You are still my wife, Nadine!” Marcus angrily reminded the woman.
“You cheated on me, you hurt me, you trampled on my identity, and then you will now tell me that you are my husband? So what? Just to let you know, we can file for a divorce,” she challenged him.
