Chapter 20
**Lana**
I fall on his hard body; feeling all sorts of emotions run through my body as he hit the mattress. My trembling fingers fisted his hair as my lips found his neck sucking on his skin. Nothing but pure desire and need in the air as we intertwined our souls to one another.
He was mine.
I was his.
“Lana,” He gripped my ass pushing me more into his groin. “you feel what you do to me.”
He growled as I ground my hips. I continued my attack on his neck as I ripped open his shirt making buttons fly. My fingers brushed his hot skin making me want him even more. I was his mate, and I knew exactly how and where to touch him. I knew what drove his wolf crazy wanting more. I worked my way to his lips colliding our lips together.
I knew he should be resting, but if he wanted to rest this way then ok. I’ll let him have this if it’s the only way he’ll relax. He is a stubborn alpha after all. If he wants me, he’ll have me one way or another.
“Jax, I want you.” A feeling I had never felt came over me. It was a feeling of my wolf wanted to claim my mate. She wanted him to submit to her taking complete control over his body.
In one swift motion, my hands fumbled with his zipper and wrapped my fingers around his granite length. He hiked my skirt up and ripped the lace underneath. He shoved me down and powerfully plunged deep inside me.
“Oh!” I pressed my hand to his chest, riding him deep and hard. I met his thrusts halfway rolling my hips as his fingers dig in my skin.
His thrusts became sloppier and harder.
My breathing was ragged and I could feel myself clamp down on him. My body shook in pleasure as he forced me down on him harder. His hot load shot deep inside as I rode out my orgasm. He convulsed as my legs shook with each stream shooting out.
It’s been an hour since he left to tend to business. His father’s beta was having a hard time with reality. He didn’t want to believe his daughter was gone.
There are five stages of accepting death. The first one is denial where you don’t want to believe it’s true. The second one is anger where you want to rip everyone and everything apart. The third one is bargaining where you think if only done something then maybe she’d be here. The fourth one is depression, where nothing matters anymore. The final stage is acceptance where you finally accept that the person isn’t coming back.
I stepped in the kitchen with Gabriel in my arms. I spotted the bitch that had me cornered when I first arrived. She was ordered to leave me alone by Jaxson, but that didn’t mean she would listen. I eyed Natalia and handed Gabriel to her, telling her to get away because shit was going to go down.
I could feel my anger taking over, and she rolled her eyes at me. I stormed to her and wrapped my fingers around her throat. She gasped for air as I shoved her to the wall. I glowered my eyes. “He is mine and there’s nothing you can do about it!”
I released her, dropping her to the floor and she hissed. “He’ll come around. They always do.”
I could feel a sensation in my fingertips and clenched my fists. A surge of power flowed through my veins, and for some reason, it seemed natural to me. With a flick of my wrist, she held her head in pain. I stumbled back and ran out not knowing what happened.
I ran up the stairs avoiding everyone’s questions and concerns. I made it upstairs and felt myself growing weaker the closer I got. I barely made it to the bedroom when I became dizzy and collapsed on the bed. All I could see was darkness.

Jaxson
I stood in my office with my father looking at his beta still passed out on the sofa. I hated to sedate him, but it was the only way. He was already in the anger stage of accepting his daughter’s death. It’s always heightened with werewolves.
His eyes were still closed and his knuckles had dried blood from punching the wall. His chest rose and fell slowly. All we could do is sit and wait for him to wake up so we could see just how unstable he was. If he was unstable, I’d have to make sure he is secured until he came to terms with his daughter’s death.
My father sighed not looking away from his beta. “Your mother is preparing for his daughter’s ritual.”
I knew my father was hurting too. John was his beta, and they shared a special bond. My heart ached for his pain. This situation makes my heartache for my son right now. He would never know who his mother was, but at least he has Lana. Maybe he would be better off thinking Lana was his mother. He would never have to go through the pain of knowing his mother gave her life for him to live.
“I’ve come to a decision,” My father craned his neck to look at me. “Gabriel is never going to know Tara was his mother. To him, it’s always been, Lana.”
“Are you sure that’s the best thing to do?”
“I’ve made up my mind,” I argued.
“How does Lana feel about that?”
“She doesn’t know yet.”
I heard James groan, and my father was immediately at his side. I watched their exchange and wondered what stage he was in. Was he feeling depressed, or was he still feeling angry? His next words gave me the answer I needed. A single teardrop fell and he slumped his shoulders.
“She’s gone and never coming back,” He cried out. “I’m going to find the bastard and fucking kill him!”
His eyes held a murderous glint flashing gold, and his fists were clenched. He had gone through all five stages faster than I thought he would. I kneeled and looked him in the face. “You’ll get your revenge, but first we have to bury your daughter.”
I left them so I could go check on Lana. As I was about to go upstairs, one of the sluts stopped me. Seriously? Could she not take a hint I didn’t want her? She was yelling in hysterics. “Tell that freak to stay the hell away from me!”
“What are you talking about?” I pushed her against the wall by her throat.
“That freak isn’t one of us!” She gasped in pain as I tightened my fingers.
“Pack your shit and leave,” I released her and she held her hand to her neck. “You have one hour.”
I continued up the stairs angry that slut called my mate a freak. How dare her! She won’t be a problem anymore. She wants to call her a freak then she will become the freak. A rogue. I stepped into the room and saw Lana crashed out on the bed. She must have come up here right after the incident.
“Lana,” I lightly shook her trying to wake her up. “I need to talk to you.”
“Jaxson,” She gasped, bringing her hand to her mouth. “My powers…I.”
“Shh, I know.” I pulled her into a hug and kissed her gently. Her body was shaking as I held her. I knew she was scared of her powers and that’s why my father called for his witch to come to help her.
“Lana, we have to bury John’s daughter tonight,” I cupped her cheeks. “Are you going to be okay?”
“Yes.” She tried her best to convince me, but I knew better.
“There are some things I want to discuss with you, but that can wait.” I kissed her lips and pushed her back down on the bed. “Rest.”
She hesitantly laid back down as I covered her back up. I stepped out and sighed in relief. When I saw her asleep, I was panicking on the inside. I thought she had fallen into deep slumber like before. I just hope when I ask her to become Gabriel's mother she doesn’t refuse. I think this is the best thing for him.
