Chapter 10

**Third Person**

It’s about 8:30 or so at night when dinner started slowly wrapping up, the Alpha and his Luna having excused themselves for the evening and allowing those who wanted to stay and mingle in hopes of finding their mates now rather than later as many people here where hoping for a chance to find there soulmate.

“Are you staying to find your mate Elise?” asks Iris to her Alpha, her eyes watching as Elise had gone back to searching for her sandalwood and citrus flavor smell as people all began moving around the room.

“Yeah, there’s something I need to do” murmurs Elise just as she’s about to wonder off only to see the Alpha Twins head for the entrance of the dining room, the need to go and find their mate still growing only to be stopped when Beta Collin had approached them.

Curious as to what was going on does Elise move to slowly approach them all while trying to remain anonymous while ease dropping on what was being said to the Alpha Twins. “Ah, Alpha Moonheart’s, did you each enjoy the dinner?” asks Beta Collin, his figure appearing before them which was something Elise didn’t like as it was almost like he was trying to hide something.

“Yes, dinner was wonderful thanks, but please if you’ll excuse us, me and my brother are hoping to find someone” replies Eros as both he and his brother continued to stand before the Beta of the Pack.

“Oh? Maybe I can help you” answers Collin, his gaze now neutral between him and the twins.

*And there it was, the neutral stare which means he’s either hiding something or he knows who it is there looking for and my guess would be the second of the two and that he personally knows who that younge girl was that had magically left here in a hurry*, come Elises thoughts as she continued to observe the trio not wanting to over step boundaries but knew the Beta could not be trusted based on the vibes she kept getting.

“If you must know, we’re looking for a girl” growls their Beta, Beta Kai clearly annoyed with Collin as he tried to keep it simple.

“A girl? What kind of girl? As I’m sure you’re both aware that there are plenty of women here” chuckles Collin as if he wasn’t aware of Kai nor of Sam and Seth, the Delta and Gamma of their pack.

Feeling annoyed herself, Elise tries everything in her power not to march over there and command him into telling the Alpha Twins exactly what it was they wanted to know but refrained from doing so knowing that it would only get her into trouble with her father as well as the Twins in which wouldn’t do either of them any good.

*Sometimes I wish I could just magically control someone’s action just by Alpha commanding them,* muses Elise as she moves to turn her focus away from the Alpha Twins, knowing they could handle themselves as she moves back to finding her mate.

Sniffing the air once more does she slowly pick up the scent she had been looking for only to let her body guide her over towards its direction her legs carefully guiding her until she finally comes to a man with his back towards her as he moves to stand next to Alpha Grant.

“Mate” whispers Elise, her eyes never leaving the man, even as Alpha Grant glances over in her direction, moving to nudge the man beside him as he tries to get him to turn around.

Gradually moving to face her, does the pair then lock eyes with one another as he too speaks the words she longed to hear. “Mate” suddenly as if feeling the bond grow between the two, do they slowly move to approach one another in unison.

Smirking playfully does Elise move to speak once she was sure they were then close enough for him to hear her when she spoke the next set of words, “Hello, Luna.”

Blinking, the man in question simply chuckles, “I’m no Luna Sweetheart, I’m strictly all Beta” then without another words does the man move to take her hand in his before rising it up towards his lips as he moves to kiss her hand gently a smirk still gracing his features as his hazel blue eyes continue to watch Elise in amusement.

Blushing, Elise tries to contain her excitement, his woodsy scent surrounding her as she tries her hardest not to instantly jump his bones to complete the mating bond. *Easy there girl, we have all night,* grumbles Elise’s mind as she tries to control herself until they could get back to the room.

Just then, as if realizing she hadn’t yet introduced herself properly, does Elise move to decide on that. “Hi, I’m Elise, Alpha Hayes to many and the next in line to rule the Dark Moon Pack” replies Elise to her still unknown Mate.

“Beautiful name for a beautiful Alpha, I’m Ashton, Ashton Wolf and Beta to the Midnight Pack, this here is Alpha Grant” replies Ashton as he continues to watch his mate in amusement, her eyes finally realizing who it was that stood before her.

“Oh My GOD… I can’t believe I totally forgot who you were… I’ve never done that before. It’s my job as Alpha to know these thing” exclaims Elise now in a panic suddenly worried he would be crossed with her for not remembering who he was.

Taken a back by her sudden panic, does Ashton move to pull her into his arms, soft purrs emanating from his chest as he tries to calm her down, not wanting to see his mate panic just by forgetting a simple name such as his.

“Shhh, easy there mate, I’m not mad, it’s normal for one to forget an introduction when finding ones mate, hell had you not started the introduction I probably wouldn’t have given one” chuckles Ashton in amusement as he tries to lighten the mood.

Watching the exchange does Isaac move to excuse himself from the pair his own scent of Rose and Honey reaching his nose as he moves to find his own mate, realizing they were there as well and wanted to claim her before someone else could.

Seeing Isaac leave, Ashton can’t help but feel excited to see who it was that caught the attention of his Alpha as he continues to hold his mate, his brother Damian having wondered off when he came across the refreshing scent of Mint and Rain, the same for Alistair when he muttered about the wonderful scent of an Ocean Breeze and Coconut, while Raya was too far caught up in the scent of Peppermint and Vanilla the three of them off searching for the ones behind there scents leaving only Ashton alone to handle Elise in which he didn’t mind at all.

“Would you care to blow this popsicle joint and maybe go somewhere a little more private?” asks Ashton softly not wanting to push anything but the need to complete the bond growing and not sure he could wait another night before laying claim to his mate for he would claim her right there if he could but didn’t want to compromise anything for Elise as she was the future Alpha of her pack and he a mere Beta who didn’t really care about his rank at the moment.

“Yes, Please” whispers Elise which was all Ashton needed before slowly guiding her back towards her room, figuring she would be the most comfortable inside her shared room then probably his when they moved to complete the bond between them.

“As you wish, My Alpha” purrs Ashton his eagerness to please his mate rising as they continue on towards the guest wing, Elise tucked safely within his arms as they did.
