Chapter 15

Rhea POV
My first day working for Damien. Let me try not to trip over anything or drop anything. Why am I so clumsy? My sister is not like this only me. I could trip over thin air.
I examine my office. He said I could do whatever I like with it. The walls need a color that is for sure. It needs to be bright in here. I need more light. I open the curtains and let the sunlight in. That is much better. I cannot take the dark drab, it is depressing.
I sit down at my desk and adjust the sit. Someone tall was sitting here that is for sure. I release the chair to try to get level with my computer. Much better. Okay, my computer logins. I look for the paper with it. Ahh, there it is.
I turn on my computer and wait for it to load. I hope I can figure out this computer. Technology is not my strong point. The computer boots up. Oh good, it is a system I am familiar with. I would hate to have to disturb Damien for something so simple as not knowing how to use the computer.
How in the hell am I going to do this? Okay, think. This cannot be any more difficult than handling those guys at the club. They need something and I will help them get it. I can do this.
I open my email. Damien has already started forwarding me emails to look over. I would have never thought there was a market for this. I look at the subject line on the emails. It looks like the requirement for the club. Just a few more legalities involved.
So I can just print these and start working on the contracts. I think that would be easier for me. I open up the saved files. Damien has contracts to look over so I can input the specifications. Okay simple.
Let me see first up, Jenny R and Leslie H are wanting a sub/ dom contract for a period of six months. All I have to do is input their names and requirements on the document. I did not have to print all of this. I just wasted a ton of paper. I am figuring it out. Why in the hell did he need me for this it took like five minutes?
I smell his sweet aroma. I turn and look behind me. “How is it going?” he asks as he looks at the mountain of emails I printed.
“I am sorry. I thought if I printed the emails it would easier to make sure I did not make any mistakes. I know it was unnecessary now. I put together five contracts. I emailed them to you to look at. This is actually simple,” I say.
He laughs at the mountain of paper. “It is okay. You will figure it out and this frees up my time. I have a lot to do and having someone else to do this helps me a lot. It may not seem like much but it can be very tedious,” he says.
“Okay. I will get more organizes as I learn everything you expect of me,” I say.
“That is why I am here. I cleared my schedule to help you today,” he says.
He moves closer. How in the hell will I ever get any work done with him around me? I move in closer to him. My goodness, he makes me want to do bad things. My phone buzzes.
“I prefer we not use our phones much during the workday. One of my rules. I would hate for a client to feel unimportant. You understand, right?” he says.
I do not even look to see who it is. It doesn’t matter they can wait. Everyone is accounted for in my life so I can concentrate on Damien and my new job. I need to take my focus off of Damien for the moment but it is hard.
“So let me look over the contracts you prepared and make sure you got the hang of it. Did you follow the step by step I sent you,” he asks.
“Yes I printed it out,” I say.
“Such a good girl you are,” he says.
Yeah, don’t talk to me like that right now. I need to focus. I need to not have these thoughts I am having.
“These look good. See simple. Just follow the step by step. Sometimes it will be more difficult contracts. If you ever have to help me with a divorce it can be much more to it,” he says.
“I cannot imagine a vampire divorce,” I say.
“Vampires are easy to deal with. It is the werewolf divorces that get very messy,” he says.
“Seriously,” I inquire.
“I could tell you stories that would blow your little mind,” he says.
“I am sure I will have plenty to tell,” I joke.
Damien continues helping me navigate the system. The dating service is a little more difficult. He does not like it when I call it that. He calls it an acquisition order. Whatever, it is a get your freak on service as far as I am concerned. He has surprised me by being so professional today. He has not said anything inappropriate or even flirted with me. I will have to try harder tomorrow.
I cannot believe the day is over. I log out of my computer and shut it down. Damien left an hour ago. I said I could handle it and to email him everything for his review. I check the acquisitions before I logged out. I will have a lot of those to work on tomorrow. That should be interesting.
I get my phone out of my desk drawer to check it. No one except for Tyler messages me. I will have to make sure to call him later. I am too tired to talk to him right now.
I gather myself and walk slowly back to my room. I am actually tired. Why I do not know. I still have a dinner date with Damien. I need coffee to perk myself up. I stop in the kitchen to ask Gregory for a cup. He is busy cooking and singing to himself.
“Gregory, you wouldn’t happen to have a pot of coffee on would you?” I ask.
Gregory cackles. “Of course I do. Help yourself,” he says.
I pour myself a cup of coffee. I check the refrigerator for cream. I just need a little something to cool it down. I grab some Irish cream out and pour a few drops in. I sip it to make sure it is enough. I put the cream back. As I turn to make my way out of the kitchen he is standing there waiting for me.
“Are we still going to dinner?” he asks.
“Yes, I needed a little pick me up. I normally work at night not during the day,” I say.
“You know you can do that here. You can set your own hours as long as it does not upset the clients. Most of them prefer the night except those pesky fairies they prefer the day hours,” he says.
“Fairies?” I ask.
“Yes they are very peculiar and particular,” he says.
Great peculiar fairies, that is great. I cannot wait to deal with them. I continue my walk to my room. I feel him rush up behind me.
“Why don’t you let me carry your cup up to your room?” he suggested.
I guess he doesn’t want me to spill it. “Thanks,” I say.
He speeds up and is back in a flash.
“So, May I ask where you are taking me tonight?” I ask.
He touches my face so softly and leans in to kiss me.
“Heaven, I am taking you to heaven,” he says.
I feel myself soaking through my panties as he releases me. I let out a small moan. Damn.
“Sounds heavenly,” I say.
He leans in and kisses me again. Mr. Professional at work, but as soon as I am off his clock he is seducing me. I want to be seduced by him. No more fighting it. I want him. He releases me.
“Be ready in an hour. No boots or heals, but wear a skirt,” he says.
“yes sir,” I say.
I hurry up the stairs to my room to get dressed for my night in heaven. I wonder what all this will entail. I cannot wait. I long to be in his arms.
