Chapter 20

Rhea POV
It has been a week since Damien and I spent an amazing time together. The gathering, where I met so many people and the after was even better. Having sex with Damien is unbelievable. I think the man is head over heels. I am not sure how I feel about him. I am sure if my feelings are purely sexual or if there is something more in the mix. I need to decide before I lead him on. I would not want him to be so in love and me be just in lust with him.

This work has been hectic. I think I am getting the hang of the contracts. I have a meeting with soul today. He called on Monday and wanted at least two hours of my time. I have no idea why he thinks it will take me that long. He wants another woman for his pet party. I see why the woman agree after I looked up the amount of money he is paying them. He has a lot of strange requirements. It was creepy just typing it all up. But none the less it is none of my business. My business is putting together a contract between him and the woman. My job is to make sure all the money is paid and the services are provided.
There is a knock at my door.
“Come in” I say.
Soul enters my office.
“Rhea, love, You look absolutely beautiful,” he says.
“Thank you,” I say.
I do not get up from my desk. I am afraid he might try something. I do not need Damien freaking out over me right now. He has been a little stressed out the last few days. Something is going on with his little witch in the cottage. I am not asking because I do not want to know what it is.
“I have put together a list. I called each of the women on the list. Each are willing to agree to your terms. I included photos and bios of each of them. I tried to give you a little variety to choose from. I also put a few that I thought you might like even though they were not your exact specifications,” I say.
“Good, shall we go over them?” he asks.
“You want me to help you pick out a woman?” I ask.
“Why not? You did all the leg work,” he says.
“Okay, well look over them and see what you think,” I say.
“We could do this over say dinner,” he suggests.
I look back at Damien’s door. “I am not sure if Damien would like that,” I say.
“Well, I am one of his best clients. Surely he would not mind a business meeting with me,” he says.
“Okay, I will go ask him,” I say.
I get up from my desk and knock on Damien’s door. I go in. He is on the phone busy as usual.
“What do you need?” he asks.
“I have a client that wants me to go to eat with him to discuss some parties for his contract,” I tell him.
“Okay go,” he says.
Well that was way too simple. I go back to my office to tell Soul we can go eat. As I walk into my office I see him looking out my windows toward the cottage.
“Soul, he said for us to go,” I say.
Soul turns around. “Hmmm, you told him it was me,” he asks.
“No I said it was a client. And you are a client. So it was not a lie,” I say.
“Oh Rhea you are bad. He is going to hit the roof,” he says.
“Soul, if you knew it would make him mad then why did you ask?” I ask him.
“Oh my dear Rhea, I just wanted to see how this played out. Let’s me and you go grab a bite to eat. I will carry the files,” he says as he takes the files from my desk.
I follow Soul out of the cottage. We begin the walk to the main house to take his car. I honestly wonder how long it will take Damien to figure out that I left with Soul. He was the one that told me to do everything here and at the cottage. Now he says just go. He must really be into something big if he is paying me no mind.
Soul opens the car door for me to get in. I get in the car and wait for him to enter. He gets in the car. “I am a terrible driver just so you know,” he says.
“Great, please do not kill me,” I say.
Soul laughs a big almost evil laugh. “Never my dear sweet Rhea. You are far too precious to kill,” he says.
“Thank goodness for that. I have a ton of work to do after you,” I say.
Soul drives really fast. I try not to think about his driving as he speeds through traffic. I just want to make it there in one piece. He is taking me to the river. Do these people not ever eat anywhere besides seafood? Vampires and seafood who would of thought it.
He pulls into the restaurant. He grabs the files out of the car and comes around to open my door. “My lady,” he says.
What a gentlemen. I would almost think he was normal except I have seen his file. I know what kind of weird things he has going on in that house of his. He is a very strange man. I am not supposed to think that way. I can not help it. It is strange to me to think that a man would want all those women in his home catering to his needs. Calling them by numbers that is strange. When I told one woman she would not go by her name only a number I thought she was going to flip out then I told her the amount of money he is paying and she said she could be any number he wanted for that. I guess every one has a price. Even me. I would not have taken this job under different circumstances. I guess we are all for sale for the right dollar amount. If I have learned anything from all of this is everyone has a price.
I walk into the restaurant with Soul. There is no one in here. “I called ahead to give us privacy,” he says.
“Oh I see,” I say.
“We have things to discuss that I do not want some people to hear,” he says.
“Doesn’t everyone know about the little service Damien runs?” I ask.
“Probably but I do not want every one to know about my needs. That is personal,” he says.
“As I was saying in the office, every one in that file is agreeable,” I say.
“Okay. I trust you. I will take all of them. Just make the contracts and I will sign them tomorrow. I want them to be in the house by next Monday,” he says.
“If you were in agreement then why did you bring me here,” I ask.
“That is why,” he says as he points out the window.
It was Damien. He pulled in to the parking lot and he looks pissed.
“I wanted to see if I could ruffle his feathers. Now do you know what you would like to eat?” he says as he picks up a menu.
Damien burst into the restaurant. He is livid. He rushes over to the table and quickly sits down beside me.
“What is going on?” he asks.
“I told you he wanted to go get something to eat,” I respond. I am trying so hard to stay calm and be calm. I need Damien to remain calm. I do not want these two getting into a disagreement right here. I do not want to be in the middle of it. They both seem to have a big temper.
“Look, I do not know what kind of dick measuring contest you two have going on, but I am only conducting business,” I say to the two of them as I pick up a menu and try to find me something to eat.
“Soul, this is not appropriate,” he says.
“You know what. I am going to go to the bar and get a drink and food and possibly more drinks. When you two hash it out let me know. By the way he is signing 12 contracts tomorrow,” I say as I leave the table in a huff.
I am not going to be in the middle of this any more.
