Chapter 8
"What's going on here?"
My mother's voice had become shrill, and she was truly startled. Kenneth walked over with a smile and extended his hand to my mother: "Madam, hello, I am Kenneth, Cynthia's boyfriend and also her boss." I glared at him with all my might, my angry eyes greeting the scoundrel!
Five minutes later, I sat on the couch rolling my eyes, watching my mother and Kenneth chatting happily. Kenneth said, "Cynthia has always performed well, demonstrating her independence and self-reliance. As a leader, I truly appreciate such an employee." As he spoke, Kenneth held my hands delicately. "And Cynthia is beautiful and has a good personality. As her boyfriend, having such a girlfriend is my fortune.”
“Madam, I want to thank your husband and thank you for raising Cynthia so well. It really benefits me."
Well, I agree with the last sentence.
My mother left with a smile, and Kenneth booked the plane tickets, saying that he would visit her and my father officially with me in the near future.
I asked my mother what would happen to the blind date. She glared at me and told me not to mention it.
My mother is really sly...
After leaving the train station and getting into the car, I remained silent.
Kenneth drove and glanced at me several times before speaking. "I was just helping you..."
"No need."
"But I've already helped you. Didn't you say you didn't want to go back on the blind date?"
Did he really think he was doing the right thing?
"Kenneth, when did I say I didn't want to go back on the blind date?"
"I heard it."
Kenneth smirked, looking ahead and teasingly said, "Besides, now you're my girlfriend, but you're still thinking about going on the blind date. Isn't that being a female player? My Angel isn't like that."
"I am not yours. I belong to myself."
Kenneth changed the subject. "Fine, you're not mine, but I am yours. You won't break my heart, right?"
...
He is just a bad man, a sly fox, a damn jerk, a disgusting scoundrel!
"But what if my mother really asks me to bring you home? Have you thought about that? Aren't you playing me, Kenneth? If my mother really asks us to get married, how do I explain it to her?"
"Then let's get married." Kenneth spoke casually.
Here we go again.
If he wasn't driving, I would definitely kick him out of the caraway.
I turned my head away from his face and stopped looking at him.
"I know you're young and don't want to get married so early..."
"Kenneth, don't speak for me. If I say I want to get married now, would you dare?"
Kenneth was speechless.
