Henry's Pain
With a mix of emotions, Lazarus stood up to confront Daniel in his room, but then he remembered something important he needed to say. Taking a deep breath, he decided to share the message before proceeding.
“Before I forget, my bodyguards should get ready, we are going to a neighboring kingdom, to sign a peace treaty,” Lazarus informed the guards, and they bowed in response.
“That's all for today. You guys are dismissed, but the king's bodyguard should meet, probably in the garden, you should all have a discussion and know more about one another. In this palace, we want our guards to be familiar with one another,” Astro suggested to them, and the guards nodded in response before taking their belongings and evacuating the room.
“Daniel is so rude
Yes the king should have given him a more painful punishment
He is a motherfucker
He is an attention seeker.”
The guards gossiped among themselves as they left the room.
When the guards left, Astro bowed to the king. “Your Majesty, I beg for your permission to leave,” he said to Lazarus.
“Okay, by the way, you will also be accompanying me to the neighboring kingdom. I would have preferred Israel to you, but he and Henry will be attending a leadership conference today, and I am not sure when they will be back. Also, Liam is away for a short vacation, and Xender would make a mess of everything,” Lazarus explained with a grimace on his face as he weighed his options.
“But Your Majesty, who would look after the kingdom when you’re away?” Astro asked with a curious look on his face.
“Don't worry about that, Aaron will soon be back from his vacation, but before then, Maria and the other semi-demons will be in charge,” Lazarus replied, and Astro nodded his head in understanding, before taking his leave.
There aren't a lot of demons in the kingdom, and since the citizens aren't aware of the demons’ presence, they've decided to stick to one another and look out for themselves, since their king is also a demon.
Lazarus was about to leave the room when Israel stopped him. “Are you going to seduce our Daniel into wetting your bed, if yes, you need to do it the proper way, make it romantic and interesting,” he teased Lazarus with a taunting smile on his face.
“Keep your mouth shut, Israel. Doesn't that sound gross and disgusting to you?” Lazarus asked with raised brows. He wasn't expecting an answer, but Israel decided to surprise him.
“Nope, it doesn't sound disgusting, because I know of a man that once fell in love with another man,” Israel said with a teasing voice, as he looked at Lazarus.
“That was a mistake I now live to regret,” Lazarus replied with an angry voice, cutting Israel's words.
“Are you interested in the wolf or what?” Henry chipped in with a grimace, unsure of what was happening between the two men.
“Since when is it any of your business?” Lazarus snapped at Henry, and he shrugged his shoulders.
“It's not my business, but I can't wait for you to stop this stupid rule of yours. Don't stop the people from falling in love with men, let them have the right to love whoever they like, be it a man or a woman,” Henry informed Lazarus.
Lazarus scorned Henry, “I am not stopping anyone from loving anyone, as long as I don't find out,” he sneered.
“Just because you had a bad love life with a man, doesn't mean everyone else is prone to have the same. You and your lover were unfortunate,” Henry said, angered by Lazarus's words.
Lazarus arched his brows at Henry and turned to look at Israel with a mocking smile on his face, “Are you in love with a man, Henry? Is it a one-sided love? Because if it is, your lover will end up dead, I will have the both of you beheaded in the most gory way.” He threatened angrily.
Henry felt offended, and stepped forward, ready to start a physical fight with Lazarus. “You being our leader gives you no right to insult us. And don't you dare threaten me, or else…..” he paused, looking at Lazarus with a menacing face.
“Or else what, what will you do?” Lazarus challenged him, moving closer to Henry. The two men began a dagger-staring competition until Israel came to their middle and separated them.
“What is wrong with you guys? Can't you just act mature for once in your long and miserable lifetime? I can't believe I am stuck with the both of you for many more centuries to come,” Israel lamented with pouty lips.
“It's not my fault, he is always getting on my nerves with his stupid masculine behaviors,” Henry tried explaining to Israel, but Lazarus erupted into laughter.
“Wow, so you can be gentle to someone, and that person is a man, so touching. Maybe, just maybe I will change the rule if Israel is interested in dating a grumpy man like you,” Lazarus mocked Henry.
Henry felt embarrassed and humiliated, and he gritted his teeth at Lazarus. “I think you should go and fuck your bodyguard cunt, maybe that way you will be able to think through your brain and not through your dick anymore,” he yelled at Lazarus, his anger boiling like a volcano.
Lazarus was furious and wanted to attack Henry, but Israel quickly teleported him out of the training room.
Henry felt relieved to see Lazarus gone, and he sat down on a nearby stool, his breath shaking.
“I don't know why the both of you are bent on destroying each other, we've been together for centuries, I think we should be friends and not foes,” Israel said to Henry. He looked tired of the two men regularly fighting.
“You heard what he said to me, he started it first, it's not my fault,” Henry sounded frustrated and hurt.
“Well, you know that Lazarus is very annoying. His mate cheated on him with his brother, and still poisoned him,” Israel tried sounding neutral (not on anyone's side)
“Oh, so you’re now sliding with him? How is it any of my business if his mate decides to poison him? Was I the one who told his mate to do that? Also, was I the one who advised him to fall in love with an asshole? Why do we always have to pity him? He’s not the only one who passed through a tough time. We all have our tale and story, why is his own so different?” Henry's voice cracked as he cried out, his words tumbling forth like a torrent of anguish. “In fact, why are we cursed with this endless pain?” he wailed, his body shuddering with sobs. He collapsed to the ground, overwhelmed by the weight of his emotions. Tears streamed down his face, a river of sorrow that seemed to have no end.
Israel was shocked and saddened to see the cold Henry looking so broke and hopeless, and he hugged him tightly, offering him his warm hug.
