Do You Like Him?

Daniel felt his heart racing really fast as he hurried in the direction of the training room. He couldn't explain how he knew the direction, but his feet kept moving till he got there.

“You are?” Israel's thick voice snapped him back to his senses, and instead of replying, Daniel turned to look at his back to make sure that no one was watching him, especially not the king.

“Are you lost?” Israel asked patiently with a gentle voice, and Daniel bowed. He sensed a strange aura coming from Israel, and it made him feel unease, it was as if Israel was a supernatural creature.

“No, my lord,” Daniel replied, and his eyes swiftly scanned his surroundings, trying to check if something else was empowering the strange aura.

Muscular men were training with their swords, some of them were injured, and blood was dripping from their faces. Nonetheless, they looked focused and determined. This motivated Daniel and he made a promise to himself that he would be determined and focus on what brought him to the palace.

“Then why are you late?” Israel questioned and furrowed his brows at Daniel. “If you want to be a royal guard in this palace, you must learn to keep to time, and most especially, answer your captain immediately if they ask you any question!” He said with a stern voice after a momentary silence.

Daniel bowed down apologetically, “I am sorry, captain, I promise you it will never repeat itself.” He apologized, and Israel brushed off his apology and instructed him to change his outfit to the training clothes.

As Daniel left for the dressing room, Israel squinted his eyes, carefully watching him. He was suspicious, Daniel looked like someone he had seen before, but he couldn't remember where he had seen him. Moreover, he has a strange aura. As at the last time he did a royal censor, all the supernatural creatures in the kingdom came forward, “so who is he?” he thought aloud.

“Master, we are ready to start!” Justin, one of the warriors, informed him, and he offered him a gentle smile before picking up his sword and heading back to the training battlefield.

When Daniel came out of the dressing room, he felt awkward. The shorts he had worn were short, exposing his well-craved milky legs. His long hair was left down because his vest was armless and he was uncomfortable in it.

Everyone's attention was on him, whispering and murmuring filled the room.

“Wow, what is he wearing?

He looks like a gay.

What's his sexuality?

The king should kill him.

Is he trying to seduce us?

Where did he come from?

I doubt he can fight, he should be fuvk in the ass, then have his head chopped off!”

Although Daniel didn't care about what people had to say about him or his sexuality, the look he was receiving overwhelmed him, and he felt like changing his outfit, because he didn't feel comfortable in it, and he wasn't ready to gain unnecessary attention.

“Did you come here to ogle over a man or to fight?” Henry's ruthless and cold voice echoed in the training room, and his wicked aura made everyone shudder in fear.

The men immediately took their eyes off Daniel and concentrated on their training.

‘Wow, who is he? His aura is so strong that even my wolf bows in respect.’ Daniel thought aloud as he stared at Henry. He knew that Henry wasn't a human, he could sense something strange in him, the same type of aura he sensed when he was around Lazarus and Israel.

“And you, what are you waiting for? Get back to your training or get the hell out!” Henry yelled at Daniel with a grimace look on his face, his eyes lingering on him as he scrutinized his body.

Daniel, on seeing the look of irritation on Henry's face knew he was a hot-tempered person, and he disliked him at once.

But he wasn't the only one who disliked someone, Henry had taken a dislike to him for no valid reason.

“I said get back to work!” Henry instructed with a menacing voice, and Daniel immediately joined the other men. They all looked scared of Henry, and he couldn't blame them because Henry was worth fearing.

“Now see what you've done. You've gotten them scared,” Israel moaned with pouty lips, and Henry scoffed in response.

“You know you don't have to train them. Astro is in charge, rest and stop bothering yourself with these tiny humans,” Henry whined, his voice calm and gentle.

“Wow, the fearless Henry sounds so calm right now. What could be the reason?” Israel asked with a taunting smile on his face, and without waiting for Henry's response he continued. “Xender and I plan to attend the club tonight, there will be girls and alcohol, do you want to join us?” he asked with raised brows, and Henry's eyes dropped in disappointment.

“You know how much I hate clubs. I prefer to be in my room sleeping, or to be in an abattoir, looking at dead bodies,” Henry replied with an unapologetic look on his face, and Israel looked completely irritated.

“I will never be able to understand you and your weird hobbies. Anyway, I wish you good luck in your sleep.” Israel replied with a gentle smile and quickly left for the training ground.

Henry sighed heavily, “I don't need luck.” He murmured under his breath and looked at Daniel suspiciously one last time before leaving the training room.

The guards didn't look surprised at Israel and Henry's bond, it seemed like something they had gotten used to. But Daniel could sense bromance steaming from their conversation and the way they looked at each other.

'It looks like one-sided love.' Daniel murmured thoughtfully, staring curiously at Henry as he left.

“Do you like him?” A husky voice whispered into Daniel's ears, and he felt a sharp rod on his neck.

Daniel looked taken aback but he quickly shook his head. Henry was a handsome man. He was much more handsome than him, but he just didn't feel anything romantic about him.

“If you like him, I wouldn't tell anyone, because I also like him,” the voice whispered again, and Daniel smiled broadly. That was how he met his first friend, Frank.
