11.

Her eyes. So much like my mother's. I know she's one of us. It was a bittersweet feeling to finally see her. Sweet little Mina, I sensed how strong she was without her own knowledge.

That was to be expected without practice.

She will be 18 soon. I must find her again before her birthday. I need her, to take back what was mine.

"Father. You called for me?" The strong confident voice interrupted my thoughts. I looked up to see my son Caleb. Proud to call him mine but he was tainted. Tainted by the blood of his mother.

A human. Weak pathetic beings.

His green eyes held me in a steady gaze. I had to smile at his actions. He knew his power was greater than any of his packmates but never abused it unless needed. He knew how to demand respect without asking, though the other wolves hated his mixed genetics.

What made me most proud was his thirst for dominance. Just like his old man. That may be the only thing he inherited from me.

"Yes, son. It seems that we have to make an impromptu trip to pick up a few..... *THINGS* that I will need. You are to join me on this excursion. Gather fifty of the strongest in our pack. Be ready within the hour." I told him.

"Yes father." he said icily. He knew what I meant and was willing to do whatever I asked.

"Well, this is certainly a good turn of events, father." Caleb said entering my office.

"I must say so myself. But very smart of them though. It may take us a while to find your dear cousin but we will," I said looking out my office window.

The scene taking place in front of me brought great satisfaction. Purebred wolves training. Prizes from our latest exploit were being carried to the other side of the compound. The making of a new empire was on the rise. My empire. Just one more piece to the puzzle and it will all be complete.

"The elder you've requested shall be here shortly. He was disturbingly happy to be invited by you," My son said frowning.

"Not all wolves have the same vision, son. "

"Hmm, " was all he said.

I knew he was debating on where he would fit in being a half breed.

"You belong here with me. This is your world. Your human side is weak because of the strong bloodline that flows through you. Don't let anyone tell you any different" I said, placing a comforting arm around his shoulders.

He nodded his head in acknowledgment.

I may not have the best to think of humans but he's my only blood and it has proven that he's worthy to be called so.

"Let's get on with this. Time waits on no one" I said leading the way out.

Not when the most powerful wolf was to be discovered. Power has always been mine and it would stay that way. Even after my last breath.

**Noah**

The first two weeks at Dark Moon found my brother and me on high alert. We did not know if the rogues who attacked our pack followed us or if they were closer in finding us after that bogus trail we left.

Emma was at the happiest state we ever saw her in. She was welcomed by everyone. At first we thought it was because of us being her brothers but it was a true liking they took to her.

No one cared that she was 'wolf less' but was amazed by her speed and stamina in training.

We couldn't let her become defenseless so we made it our duty to drag her kicking and screaming to training with Dark Moon.

After a few days of our arrival, the alpha noticed our extreme protectiveness of her. I guess growling at someone we haven't met coming up to her kept us on edge.

Satisfied with my brother's acceptance of the alpha, we had to make it known to him why we were attacked and why Emma is always protected.

*Two Days Earlier*

"Alpha, we've come to you upon our newfound trust we have in you and your pack." Jonah said firmly as I stood next to him.

Part of being a protector of a white wolf gave us the power to sense another person's feelings. This was useful to avoid any harm to Emma.

"To hear that makes me proud and honored but I guess you didn't ask for an audience to tell me this, is it not?" Alpha Angelo asked with an amused smile.

This man was very keen.

"No sir, it isn't. We also have noticed from yourself and your pack that you question our surveying of Emma's daily activities and her whereabouts....." I started to say.

"but this is our job to do so. Since she was a pup." Jonah ended.

His brows furrowed in mild confusion as we said that.

"Another thing everyone noticed was her speed and stamina even strength is not that of a normal she-wolf nor a 'wolf-less' girl....." I started again, as Angelo sat forward in his chair which creaked loudly under his weight.

"This is because our sister is the first white wolf since the last reported one." Jonah ended for me.

The shock on his face was evident. We both felt his confusion, then fear, and finally his calmness.

"This is why Moon Dust was attacked?" He asked aloud but his face was in hard concentration.

"Yes." we both said.

"We came to you out of trust. Our next statement is out of due love and protection for our sister." I said.

"If you should ever betray us after what we speak of here yourself and the pack will fall. Having a white wolf as a mate gives you power and whoever willing to capture her would not spare any lives until they make her their prize. We do not wish for this to happen to you. You're the only one beside alpha Jack and his beta to know of this. No one else is to know, not even your mate." Jonah said coldly.

In honesty and understanding, he promised his loyalty to us and Emma.

Dark Moon pack was now our ally.

*Present Day*

Since then, enforcers have been doubled around and the borders and patrols have even been doubled. For the first time in a few days, the tension left our bodies a tad bit.

"I think the prodigal son has returned." my brother's voice brought me out of my thoughts. I followed his line of vision as I saw a dark-haired guy going up the steps of the alpha's house.

"Seems like no one expected his return," I said as I noticed the shocked stares of the older wolves and the blushing of young she-wolves.

"Not our problem," Jonah said.

“Change is coming.” My wolf said.

I looked at Jonah who did the same to me.

"But what kind?" We both murmured and went to find Emma.

Whatever it is, we both had to be ready.
