Taken
Marian tries to break into a run when the dust clouded her eyes and she tripped on her long flowing dress and fell. Her hair is scattered before her own eyes which blurs her vision. She tries to get up but the howling of the other werewolves deafens her ears and the dust blinded her eyes. She couldn't even stand up properly because of the strong and cold wind that blew.
"What's a pretty woman doing on the ground? Have you no mate?" Someone asked her from behind as he clenched his teeth. Marian's heart skipped a beat. This was the least of what she ever wanted.
She bent her head in pretense not to hear the person but he didn't give up just yet.
"Hello princess or should I say- MY QUEEN?" He stressed the last words which were followed by a snarl.
The man gave her a hand. Marian tried to look up to see who he was but she couldn't recognize him. It was dark already and he had his face covered for some reason.
"Leave me alone. I have a mate!" Marian lied. She just wanted to be free from these forsaken werewolves.
"Oh, is that so? Where is he then?" The man asked her as he looked at his left and right and above his shoulders.
"I don't see anyone."
"He will be back soon. He will kill you if he sees you here, you better get going." She tried to instill fear in him but that only made him laugh more.
"I think you should be the one to be scared. Let's go now." The man said as he forced her up and began to pull her towards him in a smooching manner, touching her breasts and fondling with them, grabbing her ass and forcing a kiss on her when someone knocked him on the head and he fell down.
The person pulled Marian by the hand and began to run away with her. Scared Marian didn't know who this person was and why he tried to save her. She believed it was one of her master's men who had come to save her so she didn't ask any questions. She also did notice something about him as they ran, he was being careful and ran with her pace. He was gentle and kind but avoided eye contact with her which made her believe that she was safe with him.
They finally reached the woods and stopped.
"Thank you for saving my life." Marian gasped for air as she thanked her savior but he just ignored her and began to cut down small branches from the trees, preparing a fireplace.
He made the fireplace and invited her over to warm herself up.
"I want to go home." She said to him but he just ignored her. She found it rude to be ignored all these while by this man.
He turned away from her and began to make some strange drawings on the floor with his sword.
"Hey! Don't you speak?" She asked him and he stopped what he was doing abruptly and in a violent way as she noticed his hands shook. She was scared that she must have offended him.
"I- I'm sorry. My name is Marian, what's your name?" She asked him but he didn't reply. Instead, she turned around sharply and pulled her towards the circle he made, which frightened her the most. He used his sword to point at the center of the circle and she saw the strange drawings that he made on the floor.
She found it difficult to read Tagalog as that was what it was kind of written in but after suppressing her eyes for long, she was able to read it.
"DO NOT GO BACK TO THE CEREMONY, THEY WILL KILL YOU. WAIT HERE."
She turned to look at him strangely with fear in her eyes. "Who is this man?"
"Ca- Can I at least see your face? Who are you and who will kill me?" She asked him but he didn't answer her.
Marian watched him leave in confusion as she tried to make things out by herself when she heard the neighboring sounds of horses approaching the woods. Fear gripped her heart, she wanted to run but didn't know where to head. She had just provoked her savior and he had left her already.
"Alec… Alec please save me…" She whispered. The strange man was already gone and Marian was in the woods, all alone. Fear enveloped her heart, causing it to freeze.
"She's right there! Don't let her escape!" A man on the horse screamed as he wielded his sword towards Marian from a distance. Marian broke into a run as she began to run in an unknown direction out of confusion and unfamiliarity with the woods.
She saw some writings on the ground just where she froze as the men were right behind her. Moving a step away would mean her death. With tears filled in her eyes, she bent down her head as she read the writings which read; ALE
What does this mean? She wonders just when one of the men grabbed her by the arm from behind and out of nowhere, that same stranger wielded his sword and curved a big C before the name and cut the wrist of the man who grabbed Marian's arm.
She shut her eyes out of fear and opened them almost immediately to run when she saw a C appeared before the name. Putting together the letters, it read; ALEC.
