Chapter 13

Detective Jason arrived at the scene before detective Jeff. He met Mary squatting on the floor beside the dead body of Peter.

"What's going on here? Darling are you okay?" Detective Jason asked officer Mary as he swatted and touched her face to be sure she was alright.

"I'm fine I'm fine…what are you doing here? Where's detective Jeff?" Officer Mary asked as she looked behind him to see if detective Jeff was back.

"He should be here by now. What's going on here?" He asked officer Mary as he looked at the rest of them.

"Why are they stripped naked? Where are their clothes, what's going on? Why is there blood on the floor? Can someone tell me what's going on here?" Detective Jason Berly asked them but no one could give a valid reply.

"You should direct your questions to detective Henry, he should know more than us because he got here first." Officer Mary replied.

"Detective Henry, what happened?" Detective Jason asked him.

"I don't know…I came in to check on the assignment that I gave them to do as the lieutenant ordered…after I left you there. On coming here…" Detective Henry Larson began to narrate what happened when he came in to them from the start of everything.

"Good afternoon detective Henry." They both greeted him.

"Good afternoon, how are they captives doing?" He asked them.

Henry was a detective who was dressed in his military unform. He held a white full scap paper and a baton in his hand.

"We are yet to check into hem sir but I'm sure they are doing just fine." John replied to detective Henry's question.

"Wellz fhsreisbno need to be sure because you will have them killed today." Detective Henry replied.

"Killed? But why sir?" Peter asked detective Henry as he was taken by shock. He wasn't expecting that to happen so soon and that's if he was even thinking if that or was expecting something of such to happen.

"Ut us an order from above and must be followed. Do not let them out until they are completely dead before you burn their houses or burry it whatever but make sure that they are killed." Detective Henry instructed.

"Yes sir." John replied.

"The gas still remain right?" The detective asked again.

"Yes sir, it's still remaining." John replied.

"Good. Release it to kill them and make sure you are safe from it, have a nice day." Detective Henry replied Ashe turned his back to leave.

Detective Jason aberlt was on his way to the lieutenant's office when he met with Detective Henry.

"Detective Larson, I was ar your office earlier but you weren't there. Are you don't with the files that was sent to you? I want to sign on them please." Detective Berly asked detective Larson, who was also thesame detective that have out the order to Pter and John who had already all passed away.

"Its in the lieutenant's office. Can you help me and get it please? I need to get to the cell." Detective Henry Larson replied to detective Jason.

"Okay…but what do you want to go and do at the cell? Which one first?" Detective Jason asked.

"The underground cell meant for dangerous species of humans. Rat eas where the werewolves you caught were kept." Detective Henry replied.

"Okay, what about them? Were you placed I charge?" Detective Jason asked.

"Something like that. The lieutenant asked me to endure that they were killed and report it back to him." Detective Henry replied.

"Oh wow…so soon? Well you can get going….I dont want us to do anything now to provoke him to anger again. I will go and go and get it from his office." Detective Jason replied.

"Thanks man. Let me get going. I told those people to report back but they didn't." Detective Henry Larson replied.

"Okay, that's more reason why you should get goung immediately. Have you filled in your signature?" Detective Jason asked detective Henry.

"I did not collect it. I will do so when you are done. " Detective Henry replied.

"Okay." Detective Jason replied as he left.

Detective Henry Larson went into the underground cell. He had just opened the door when he noticed the place all foggy and the stench of the odourful gas greeted his nostrils at the door eve before he pushed it open.

"What is going on here?" Detective Henry Larson asked as he used one hand to hold his nose and the other to brush away the smell from his face.

"This wasn't what I expected of you to do. This is too much, are you even alive?" Detective Henry Larson asked as he squinted his eyes to see clearly in the foggy smoke but it was not helpful. He located where the switch button to the gas was as he stopped it. He coughed loudly as he chocked on the gas and waited for the smell to reduce and the place to become clear.

There happened to be a large window that was camouflaged just like the wall as he pressed some combination keys near the switch box and pushed down the part of the wall. The smoke now escaped through that window and everywhere started to become clear and less suffocating again.

"Where are you Peter and John?" Detective Henry Larson called out in his loudest voice that was reduced because of the choke that he was having earlier. He walked towards the cell from where he was standing when his feet stumbled on something hard. He bent down and looked at what it was when he saw Peter lying on the ground unconscious. He shooked him but he wasn't getting up. He immediately put a call across his cell phone when he noticed the flow of blood on the floor. He traced where it was coming from when he saw the dead body of John lying on the ground.

"What is going on here?" He asked m none in particular in a panicking voice. He shocked John but he didn't move either. He then thought it wise not touch his corpse to increase an investigation that may want to be carried out on him.

"Wait…if the two of them are dead then…. the wolves!" Detective Henry Larson exclaimed immediately as he got up to check for the wolves but found all the cell doors opened were empty.

"No way! This can't be happening…not again…" Detective Henry Larson exclaimed in fear as he began to panic. He knew that if those wolves weren't there then they must have escaped. He turned to look at the dead bodies of the two people and wondered if a wolf attacked them.

…………………………………….
"That was what happened before they got here." Detective Henry replied.

"What about them wolves? Are they safe?" Detective Jason asked as he rushed to the cell where they kept them but he couldn't find them.

"Where have they gone to? What happened?" Detective Jason asked no one in particular as he searched their faces for an answer but no one replied to him as they were also confused too.

"I'm not sure but it seems like they've escaped and these people were trying to save them and they got attacked…that's what I can say about the situation." Detective Henry replied.

"Oh no…this is bad. I need to get to the control room and see what happened. We can't let those werewolves escape, at least not alive." Detective Jason replied as he rushed out of the room.

"Jason I'm coming with you. You people should take care of situations here and clean up this mess." Officer Mary said to them as she ran after detective Jason.

Detective Jason and officer Mary ran to the control room and asked for the video tape to the surveillance cameras that were installed in the underground cell. They showed him where the computer was as he went over to see what had happened. He could see the others that he left behind as he paused it and took it back to see what happened earlier that day. Mary stood by his side as they watched the video tape. Detective Jason Berly sat on the chair while officer Mary stood behind him as they watched what the surveillance cameras captured.

…………………………………
The room is silent, everyone is out and everywhere is dark. The room consists of a large hall with a narrow corridor which leads to many iron doors that look like a cell or rather, a prison for keeping hardened criminals or dangerous people. The hallway is cemented with sand and water roughly, making it hard enough and rough to injure someone when the person falls. The walls are painted with dirty brown cement that are plastered to hold the building. The roof is also cemented with no ventilation in this area. A person can hardly survive in such a place for a very long time.

All the doors of the rooms in the building are locked with hard and big padlocks. The door also has a combination code to unlock it as an alternative. Inside one of the rooms at the left, the third cell to the specific house housed Elvis and Ultimate Alpha Gallows at the other room. A fly which got in through only mystery could find itself perched on the face of Elvis.

It buzzed in his ears, causing him discomfort. He used his fingers to chase it away from him as he mistakenly hit his hand on a hard surface. He opened his eyes slowly and noticed the discomfort with where he was as his body was sore. He tried to stretch out but he couldn't. He woke up fully aware of the present. He looked around as he was still in his wolf body. He howled lightly to attract the attention of anyone out there but no one came. He looked up and saw the room wasn't too tall and wide. The only way out of this mess was to climb up to the rooftop of the wall and find a way to get out.

He changed back into his human self but his head was only too tall to make him get up as it hit the rooftop of the wall. He could only sit as a human being or change back into his wolf form. Still in his human form, he stretched out his hand which had transformed into that of a wolf, his arms making a clear section of human and wolf body division as he grasped at the door with his sharp claws but it only hurt him because the door was slippery and smooth.

He cursed under his breath as he felt suffocated. He then remembered UltimateAlpha Gallows and wondered where he was. He didn't even know how the room was divided and the sections of where he was kept. He knocked on the door severally but still didn't get any response. He called out to the ultimate Alpha Gallows using his werewolf sense but still got no reply. He changed back into a human and decided to yell for help. It's now or never so he thought.

He preferred to be caught and be known to be a human being too besides being a werewolf rather than to be a dead man or werewolf without accomplishing his mission on the open earth. Just as he had made up his mind already and was about to start screaming for help, heard footsteps outside the cell. He listened carefully and concluded that it must be that of the humans. He thought of screaming out loud for help but then thought otherwise.

No, what if they killed him when they found out that he was still alive? What was going to happen to him? He decided to remain silent and listened to their footsteps until they left but he only waited for a couple of minutes in vain. He was getting all sweaty and suffocating

"This cell is unlocked, was anyone in here today?" A voice asked as Elvis listened to their conversations but couldn't tell who spoke or was speaking because he couldn't place the voice to the exact owner and even if he could, he didn't know them to do so.

"Yes,it was cleaned yesterday." Another voice spoke but the voices that exchanged the conversations were all belonging to that of a male because of the muscularity and the deepness that was ladened in their voices.

"They shouldn't have left it open in that case." The first person who spoke gave a reply to the second man.

"Probably they must have forgotten to lock it up. Do you still have the keys to cell eight?" The second man replied to the first man's question and in return, asked him a question.

"Yes I do, do you need it?" The first man asked.

"Is it with you now?" The second man returned the question with another question.

"Humans! They never give you a straight reply directly without asking another question. Bunch of nothing creatures mtcheew. I wonder why, hey , we're even created ourselves. Silly fucking bitches." Elvis cursed in his mind as he listened to them annoyingly. He was never interested in their conversations as all he wanted was for them to leave so that he could find a way out to escape.

"No, not with me at present. Why did you ask?" The first man replied, returning another question to the second man which left Elvis to just hide in his mind.
