Chapter 18: Cassandra
I slammed my locker shut and sighed, waiting for Esther patiently.
Natasha wasn't in school so I had to deal with my other kind friend throw paper balls at me just to watch her stick her tongue out.
Esther wasn't in Biology class with me so I had to listen to the teacher go on and on. It was then I noticed Esther was of help even with the fact she could be very annoying. At least, she was my living coffee.
Without her in Biology class, my eyes closed with every opportunity it got.
I tried to keep myself busy by drawing something. Turns out I suck at art so I ended up drawing that looked more like a shoe instead of myself.
At least, I did something.
Once I heard the bell, I sprang up from the chair and left the class immediately. One more minute and he'll bring up another assignment.
I wasn't the type to enjoy squeezing myself through the hallways filled with people but I made it to my locker luckily without breaking a leg.
"Hey dickward" I heard Esther say behind me, giving me slight push.
"What a kind way to compliment ne this lovely morning Esther?"
"Yeah, whatever. Just tell me about it" She crossed her arms and tapped her foot on the ground "So?"
"So what?"
"Yesterday night"
"What happened yesterday night? I won't know till you tell me"
She sighed and rested on my locker "I saw you go with Dylan yesterday"
"Oh my god Esther, I thought it was something important"
"So moving with the Dylan King isn't something important?" She asked "Would you have done if the whole school was there?"
"It wasn't something serious. He just gave me a ride home"
"What home? His or yours? What kind of home? Is it a hotel named home?_"
"My home you idiot"
"What kind of ride?" She asked, giving me a sick smile.
"You're just as disgusting as he is"
"I'm just kidding with you" She chuckled "I'm shipping you anyways"
"I hope it drowns"
"It won't and when it does happen, I'm gonna be knocking your door and rubbing it in your face."
"Can we just talk about something else?"
"Don't change the topic g_"
"Esther Jones please report to the principal's office immediately!"
It was normal for people to be called to the principal's office but the announcer was definitely mad. It was obvious through the tone she used.
"Shit" I heard Esther mutter.
"What did you do" I asked in a bored tone.
I might've, maybe, accidentally, unintentionally, mistakenly_"
"Go straight to the point"
"I vandalized the principal's car"
"Why would you do that?"
"I don't know girl, I wanted to do something fun"
"You're g_"
"Esther Jones, please report to the principal's office else you'll get detention everyday for the rest of your life!"
"See you later!" She said and sprinted to the principal's office.
Man, that is one rebellious girl.
Vandalizing the principal's car for fun? That was definitely something I wouldn't do in my right sense.
Let's just say she lived with the motto 'I'm gonna do whatever I want and you're not gonna kill me' while I lived with 'I want food anyways'
Which reminds me, food.
I went straight to the cafeteria, happy I was finally going to get the hamburger I dreamt of.
It's not like you don't do it too.
The cafeteria was almost full but two to three tables were still empty.
I was going to sit alone cause Esther was busy getting scolded in the principal's office and Natasha was somewhere but school.
I still get food either ways.
I spotted Cassandra ans her crew on a table.
I could've given Cassandra the same hate gave everyone I knew but she was ten times more annoying. To some, her existence was annoying but I wasn't the type to judge so her existence could only be annoying if she stepped on my toes.
She had a thing with literally every boy with anything expensive or at least had a handsome face.
Most times, she only did it when she wanted something from them or to simply chase clout. However, Dylan was her permanent playboy.
Before I knew what was going on, I always though she was in a relationship with Dylan and they both cheated whenever they wanted to but I later figured out they were just friends with benefits.
I wouldn't say friends.
Just people that benefited off each other.
She gave me a smirk when I was close to ther table. I smiled back and was about to take another step when I suddenly felt something hit my foot.
I tripped and fell almost immediately.
It took just a second before laughter erupted in the cafeteria.
"Oh! didn't see you there Diana!" She said with her fake high pitched voice.
Remember when I said stepped on my toes?
I'm not gonna let this slip away.
I stood up with a bright smile on my face.
Pranking Dylan gave me a reputation I didn't want to ruin and I wasn't gonna get her spoil it.
Glancing at her table, she had salad and a milk in front of her. It was sad she didn't get spaghetti instead but milk would do.
I picked up the carton and poured the contents directly on her head.
That was enough to send the cafeteria to laugh zone.
"Oh my god Cassandra! I didn't see you there!"
"My hair!" She screeched "You're gonna pay for this!"
"Get over it Cassandra"
"You're such a_"
"Mind your business Darcy" I cut her off before she could complete her sentence.
Yeah, you guessed it right. Darcy was one of Cassandra's crew and equally as annoying as she was.
Stacy and Stephanie were the last two of their plastic cult. They were very identical twins. It was difficult to find the difference between the two.
They were quiet most of the time, mostly when Darcy and Cassandra were doing all the talking.
Besides running after boys that paid little or no attention to them, the only thing they did with their lives was to run errands for Cassandra and Darcy.
There's a whole lot of difference between Judging and stating the fact. I'm stating the fact, not judging.
"Aren't you two gonna do anything about it?!" Cassandra screamed at the twins.
They sprang up immediately, pulling out napkins from their purses and wiping Cassandra's face.
"Get it off me!" Cassandra yelled, pulling her face away. "I hate you Diana and you're gonna pay for this"
I saw the tears in her eyes before she turned and ran away.
Did I do too much?
The other three trailed after her, giving me death glares as they walked past me.
That's a plus three to the amount of people that want me dead.
With the amount of stares I got, it would get very uncomfortable to sit amongst them to eat so I went ahead and made my way out.
There goes the hamburger of my dreams
I was lucky the hallways were quiet. At least, I could walk without eyes fixed on me.
"Hey Cupcake!"
"Can I act like you're not here?" I asked Dylan as soon as he caught up to me.
"Nope"
"Did she spank you last night?"
"Nah, I made a run for it"
"It would've been great to take a photo of you then. Dillie Willie, king of pinkland, getting spanked by him mom with a spatula"
"Shut up" He said "That's our secret"
"There's no secret between us. I'll post the picture whenever I want"
"You wouldn't dare"
"Try me"
"Can we act like the picture doesn't exist?"
"Nope"
"Fine, I'll do whatever you want"
"Just get me food and we're cool"
"You'll delete the picture?"
"Nope"
"Fuck you"
"Fuck you too"
"You know what? Forget about it. I came up with the best idea"
It's gonna be stupid.
"Oh really?" I asked in a bored tone "Tell me about it"
"You and I" He started "Just both of us"
"What is it Dylan? I don't have the whole day"
"We make out in the parking lot"
Told ya.
"Fuck off"
"I'm just kidding." He chuckled "Let's skip school"
"Not gonna happen"
"You gotta have that rebellious part of you Cupcake. Come on, you're gonna graduate soon. Loosen up a bit"
"No"
"I'll get you food"
"From the Chinese restaurant?"
"Wherever you want"
"Yes_"
"Dylan" I heard the high pitched voice of Cassandra behind me.
She soon showed up in front of me, running up to Dylan and holding his arm. Her shirt was still wet from the milk and so as her hair.
She washed away all the make up on her face, leaving her with a bare, pale looking face.
Her lips were thinner, her eyebrows had only little or no hair, her lashes were short without the lashes on and all I could think of was wow.
The power of make up.
"Woah, what happened to you?"
"She spilled milk on me for nothing!" She yelled, pointing at me.
"No, I didn't" I said in a bored tone.
I got the right to lie since she started with the lies.
"I have no idea what happened but can I be of help in any way?"
"You can get her a flight to Canada. I heard they have good shampoos there." I gave them a good idea which only got me a glare from Cassandra.
I was just trying to help.
"I can't spend another second with her" She said "Just take me home"
"I'll be back in a second" Dylan said to me and left with Cassandra the next second.
He never came back.
I still want food.
.~*~.~*~.~*~.
"You're all gonna do the assignment individually" The substitute teacher, whose name I wasn't sure of, said.
I was lucky the real teacher wasn't in school cause first, I didn't do the assignment and second, I didn't like her that much.
"The assignment will be due next week Friday..."
I stopped playing attention after that.
The class felt like it had been going on for years.
I guess it was due to the fact neither Natasha or Esther were present. I met them days ago but it felt like I'd been with them for years.
Esther could've been throwing paper balls and sticking out her tongue and Natasha could've been the good girl throwing us glares.
The weird trio.
I felt a tap on my shoulder.
"I don't have a spare pen"
"I didn't ask for it"
"Dylan?" I asked, quickly recognizing the voice "How was Canada?"
"You left"
"I waited you idiot, you didn't come back"
"I had to clear things with her so I wouldn't have to drive her home"
"But you did drive her home"
"Yeah but that was after I came to check on you. We could've dropped her off at her house and then go to the restaurant and avoid whatever this class is about"
"You don't expect me to be in the same car with Cassandra. She'll keep screaming, I'll lose it and then it'll be a total disaster"
"Wait a minute, are you mad at me?"
"Why the f_"
"Detention! Both of you!"
Well, I guess she isn't any better than the last teacher.
